What have I done, to be losing you?
Chapter 21 Hiccup's night part 1
Dragon Hiccup's POV:
I stood still as I awaited one of my masters soldiers went to attack me. I jumped and landed behind him and kicked him into the weapons rack. A smile creeper its way onto my lips. Who wouldn't like kicking other people's ass?
"Hiccup I have a job for you." My master said as he approached me.
I raised a bow in amusement. "Oh is that so, tell me master what is it that you require of me to do for you." I asked bowing to him.
"I want you to go to Berk and do some recon." He said.
"But master Berk is no threat to us, I am on your side now...I assure you this." I said.
"I know that Hiccup, really I do...but I want to know what is happening all the same just in case they're planning anything." He exclaimed.
"Of course master I'll see to it that I scope out Berk."I said before starting to walk away only to hear my master call me once more.
"Oh and Hiccup?" He started.
"Yes master?" I awsered.
"Bring back something from your ex girlfriend Astrid." He said.
"Yes master I understand I will not fail you." I said before walking off down the condor.
I took to the air, this arctic air felt cold agents my skin and yet I was warm because of my flame within my body.
Soon enough though Berk was within my sight.
"If I know Astrid the last place I would find her is in the village, she's taken over the academy know that I'm gone." I said to myself.
With that said I landed in the village to do some reconacince, for Drago. I watched as the people that once trusted me work away as if I had never left. Something inside made the thought of it all sting. I snarled at myself. "Stop being self aware! I can't let myself get side tracked by my emotions!"
I watched on for a while longer before walking into the woods, I knew the path to walk, I knew where I could fine my ex friends, and my girlfriend, and yet this would be the first time I would have any reaction to her, though dute that when I got there that I would not even care all that much for her, and yet I still felt the pure one inside me, he was annoying and hard to deal with.
I looked down into the cove, as I had expected they where there, all of them. A smile slipped across my lips as I thought about what it would feel like ripping them apart slowly, the feeling of power and bloodlust- "NO!" I screamed as I gripped my head. No, th-there m-my friends, ugh the only reason this is happening is because of my-self awareness, maybe this wasn't a good idea to keep them in tacked.
I took a single breath before flying down into the cove. I landed on the other side of the lake away from them but once Astrid turned around I felt like I could no longer fight.
She ran towrods me and I growled parading a plasma ball which caused her to stop in her tracks just meters away from where I stood.
"H-Hiccup?" She asked.
"No, the pure one is dead, I'm the only one that remains." I said.
She shook her head. "No, I refuse to believe that the good Hiccup is dead!"
She ran at me and I released the plasma blast only to recoil as it disappeared into purple sparkles as Astrid stood before me holding my hand over her heart.
"W-What happened, how are you not harmed?" I asked.
"Like you I've had an upgrade, magic!" She said.
"Hehehe, not bad," I say. "But not good enough!"
I use my dark energy to throw her backwards.
"Even with your magic it can't protect you from me." I snapped.
"That's where your wrong." She said snapping her fingers.
"Agh!" I grip my side. "W-What d-did you do to me!" I snarled.
"Hopefully bring back Hiccup for a night!" She snapped back.
My eyes widened, was it possible for her to bring the pure one forth even for a night such as this one coming? If it was true I wouldn't have power!
"No, I'd never let you get him back!" I snarled.
"That's where your wrong know wake up Hiccup!" She shouted.
Hiccup's POV:
I gasped and looked up at her, she was just laying there on the ground.
"A-Astrid?" I asked.
She nodded. I smiled and ran to her side helping her up and pulling her into a kiss.
"I missed you so much Hiccup." She said.
"So did I, I thought I'd never see the light and yet here I am know!" I said happily.
She frowned. "Actually, this spell is temporary Hiccup, i-it only will last until morning.
"N-No, no I can't go back into the darkness, I can't become what Drago wants me to be!" I said.
"I don't like it any more then you do Hiccup but there's just that much darkness in your soul and in your heart, I can only move so much dark energy into my body and Toothless' body." She said.
"You and Toothless...have some of my dark energy inside you both?" I asked.
Both of them nodded.
"Then let's make the most of this then seeing that only have a few hours it's about 12:00 noon." I said.
"Let's finish off the lesson, then we can go back to the village, I know your mom, dad and Gobber will be happy to see you." She said.
"I was at the village no one seemed to care that I'm not around." I said.
"That doesn't mean that you're friends and family don't miss you Hiccup." Fishlegs said.
I smiled. "Thanks Fishlegs."
Once we completed the lesson I turn away and put out my hand as Toothless' snout touch's my hand.
"I missed you buddy, what do you say we fly back to the village?" I asked.
He nodded and I boarded his back.
"Let's go bud!" I said as we took to the sky the other dragon riders following me.
Once we get into town people gather around us shock written all over their faces.
My mom, dad and Gobber all push through the crowd.
"Hey mom, dad Gobber." I said.
My mom hugs me tightly. "You're back."
"Not really, only for the rest of the day tomorrow morning I'll be back to belonging to Drago." I said.
"I'll explain inside." Astrid said as we headed to my house as the others went home.
