Chapter 18
Disclaimer: I don't own the Percy Jackson series or any of it's characters. Just my plot and my OC's.
Hello again everyone. How have you been this summer? I'm fine, but I really wanna go to Disneyland, like, soon. It's been calling to me. I can feel it. Song you wonderful people should listen to 21 Guns (cast version) by Green Day. It's a cool song, if any of you guys have Netflix, you should watch Broadway Idiot if you like the song. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but if you guys would review more often, I probably would. Anyway, new chapta...
AMBER'S POV
"Hey guys. I'm Nemesis. Goddess of balance. How's it going?" she asked nonchalantly.
"Well, if it's not any trouble, our friend here could really use some medical attention.' Ava fired back. Nemesis just snapped her fingers. Nico howled in pain. I turned and saw that the skin on his leg was mending, the blood was disappearing, and even his jeans were fixing themselves.
"That one was free, but don't expect another favor without fa price. Anyway, I suppose you are all wondering why I'm here, right?" she looked at us expectantly. We nodded, suspiciously.
"I'm here because a little immortal bird told me you needed help getting somewhere. Am I right?"
"Actually, you're wrong. We don't need help, thank you very much. Now, if you'll excuse us, we will be on our way now." I said, and started walking.
"Wait Amber," Ava said. I turned to look at her, and I gave her a questioning look.
"We still have like, another 7 miles to walk. Plus, we don't know the exact location of this mystery building. I think we do need her help." She glanced over towards Nemesis.
"See? It looks like you young ones do need my help after all." she answered wickedly.
"No Nemesis. I know what kind of deals you make. We can't risk our safety over that" Nico answered stubbornly. She seemed frustrated.
"How about this. I will take you three to exactly where you need to go, in exchange for... a few mere memories?" She suggested. "I'll even tell you which ones I would take. For you Amber, the day you went camping and you brought your dog. And then something ate poor Jessie. Ava, the day that clown scared you, and you developed Coulrophobia (A/N: fear of clowns), and Nico..." she looked at him with a wicked gleam "...the moment you realized you had a crush on Cassidy. Oh don't worry, you'll still dislike her, but you won't be constantly reminded that you thought she was pretty, and had a personality very similar to yours. So...what do you say?" To me it sounded like a pretty good idea, but I was shocked that Nico had a crush a Cassidy. They hated..no, loathed entirely the other. (A/N: in case you didn't read other AN, forget what I said about Poseidon being her gpa) We all looked at each other expectantly.
"I'm in" Ava said.
"Me too" Ava had a fear of clowns? When I was eight, my family and I went camping, and after hours of begging, my parents finally agreed to let me bring my dog, Jessie. One night, while we were asleep, Jessie crawled out of our tent. Next morning, I woke up to find him missing. I was looking everywhere around our campsite and into the forest, when I saw my half eaten dog dead, on the floor. I was crying forever about it. We both looked towards Nico, who seemed to be deep in thought. Eventually, after a while he said...
"I'm in"
With that, a cloud of black smoke surrounded us. I started coughing, and choking. I fell to the ground, getting a major wave of vertigo. I blacked out.
CASSIDY'S POV
Hermes came back 10 minutes later, and told me to follow him. He led my to a hallway, with two doors.
"This is your room..." he said, pointing to the door on the right. "...and this is Joseph's. I'll leave you to get situated. This had me confused.
"Wait, what? Do you think we were gonna stay here?" He turned towards me, with a confused look.
"Well...yes. Do...don't you want to?" Wait, did he really think I was gonna live here the rest of my life?
"Um. Look, I'm sorry if that's what you thought, but I have a life to live, and I don't want to live it here. I'm sorry." With that, I walk past him and entered Joe's room. Hermes just sighed and disappeared, in all of his overrated godly-ness. I saw Joseph sitting on the bed.
"Joseph, we should leave, like now." I said hastily. His eyes showed something like sorrow, before I blinked and it was gone. Huh...i must have imagined it.
"Wait, leave? But, Cassidy, we just met our actual parents. Don't you think we should spend at least a few days here, getting to know them better?" I sighed. I knew that Joseph needed this. He needed to know he had more of a family than me.
"Okay...I guess we could stay for a FEW" I emphasized when he got excited, "...days"
"Okay, thank you sister." he gave me a brief hug and walked into his room. See, this was the Joseph I missed. The one who always relied on me. Later that day, Hermes approached me.
"You did the right thing" Okay...weird way of putting it, but sure.
"At meal times, Joseph will lead you to the dining hall. He knows his way around pretty well by now." He nodded his head at me, and walked away. I went inside of my room. The walls were a medium grey. The bed, which was in the corner of the room, was queen sized, with black and grey bedding. I guess my parents knew my style pretty well. I had a small, wooden night stand next to the bed. It had a plane lamp on it, and..oh glory...my phone, wrapped in my...headphones. I could have cried with joy. I put my headphones in, turned on my Favorite's play list, and continued looking around. In front of my bed, was a small bookshelf. I had 4 shelves, all filled with books. There was a big oak dresses on the opposite side of the room. It wasn't a bad place, just a bit plane. I walked over to my bed, and cautiously sat down on it. It was very comfortable, and soon I was laying on my back staring at the ceiling. A thought occurred to me. My clothes. I walked over to the dresses and opened one of the drawers. Inside, it had a couple of pairs of jeans. I opened another one. This one had a bunch of t-shirts. And not just any t-shirts, MY t-shirts. I saw my Three Days Grace one, my Green Day, my Breaking Benjamin, and all my othes. I was much happier to have a few of my own personal belongings. The other drawers had socks, underwear, etc. There was also a door I saw, that I hadn't noticed before. I opened it to see all of my belts, hanging from the hangers, along with a few of my jackets. I was very pleased, and realized I needed a shower. I went over to Joseph's room, and knocked on his door. He opened with a "Hey, what's up?"
"Well, I was just wondering where the shower/bathroom area was."
"Oh. It's down that way. Can you see the doors from here?"
"Yeah, I think so."
"Okay, your bathroom is on the right"
Okay, thanks."
"No problem"
I walked down the hall to the bathrooms. I opened my door and saw that the whole bathroom was made of marble and granite, along with others things similar. There was a sink in front of me. I opened the drawers by it a saw a hair brush, hair ties, tooth brush...etc. The shower was to the right and to the left was a door, which led to the toilet. The shower was a tub, along with a curtain. I moved the curtain all the way to the left. I saw that the shower head was large, and there were two shelves along the walls. Each had various showering items like conditioner, shampoo, body wash, etc. I turned the nozzle and a warm spray of water shot out. I grabbed a towel from a little weaved basket I saw, and hung it on the hook right next to the shower. I quickly shed my clothes and hopped in. The warm water instantly relaxed my muscles. I lathered my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. The body wash I used smelled like raspberries. Once I was all clean, I just stood under the streaming jet of water, soaking it in. After about twenty minutes, I shut the water off, and hopped out. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around myself. I'd brought my clothes with me, and changed into those. I was in my ripped black jeans and a plain black t-shirt. I put on some plane socks and a pair of beat up converse. I walked back to my room, with my hairbrush. When I got back to my room, I brushed and braided my hair, then put it in a simple braid. I grabbed my grey Jack Skellington jacket and pulled it over my shoulders. I put my music in and grabbed a random book from one of the shelves and started reading, but then I realized something. My room, my bathroom, everything, had been placed to make me wanna...stay here. And I'm not sure if I liked that or not.
NICO'S POV
My whole body hurt. I blinked open my eyes and sat up. I saw that the girls were just awaking too. My brain felt fuzzy. Like...like something was missing, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Where had we been a second ago? Who were we with? Why are we here? Where IS here? Is this where we are supposed to find Cassidy? I looked around and saw that I was sitting on cracked asphalt. An old warehouse (A/N: review if you love Warehouse 13 like me!) towered above me. The walls had metal plates over them, that were breaking off, due to the weather. Speaking of which, it was really windy. Even standing up was proving difficult. Once I stood successfully, I dusted of my clothes. Ava, though she was having touble, stood up too, her hair whipping around her face. Amber had yet to awake. Ava shook her a bit, and when she came about, she helped her up.
"Where are we?" Ava shouted about the wind.
"I'm not sure!" I yelled back.
"Let's go inside!" Amber yelled.
"What if it's a trap?" I asked/yelled.
"I don't realy think we have a choice" said Ava.
We started walking towards the door, that, may I add, had practically fallen off of it's hinges. From where we could see, the inside looked creepy as hell. Once we got to the door, I yelled
"Ladies fist!"
Ava glared while Amber said sarcastically, "Wow Nico, I had no idea you were such a gentle men!"
The girls walked in, and I followed. I looked around, and Amber spoke my thoughts.
"What the hell?" (A/N: 85 reviews for next chapta)
