The first thing Natasha noticed was the soft feel of the sheets, snapping her eyes open she realized she was on a king sized bed. Looking around only confused her further. On the night stand was Steve and hers wedding photo. The old style clock said it was about 8:30, next to it stood a black and white photo of Natasha and Steve hugging in front of a beautiful home, a car in the driveway and a white picket fence. She looked at the house with a tear gathering in her eye, it was the house they were talking about buying after the war. She redirected her focus, reaching for a knife when the door opened to the bed room. Than two things happened at once to startle her even more, one was she didn't have a knife on her, another was the shouts from three children. "Mommy!" She was so shocked she couldn't move and the three kids jumped on her, hugging her. Her first instinct was the push them off, and she almost did until she saw Steve in the door way, dressed in khaki pants, a plaid button down shirt, holding a tray with food on it. He smiled at them, the children and her, before stepping into the room. "Now kids, don't strangle your mother, after all it is her day." He said still smiling. The kids untangling themselves from her before yelling "Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!" She was flabbergasted. Shocked. Didn't even know what to do, as Steve placed the tray on the nightstand in her side of the bed, leaned down and kissed her.

Her eyes snapped open, and everything came back in a rush, Steve, the Red Room, SHIELD, and the Avengers, everything up to the explosion. She realized the dream she had was just that, a dream, likely caused by a concussion from the fall. Quickly taking stock of herself she realized her foot was pinned beneath a metal pipe, looking at it, she noticed and heard movement beyond it, seeing Banner lose control. She has seen so many scare and frightening things in the world before, however seeing Bruce Banner lose control of the Hulk was on the top of the list. She pulled with all her engineered and enhanced might, pulling her foot out of where it was trapped and ran.

She was sitting on the ground, legs rucked to her chest shaking after to run from the Hulk. Her body hurt from when she had gotten thrown to the side. Sitting there all she could think about was Steve, and how if she had died, she would have left him all alone in a new age. She couldn't do that to him, she knew how hard it was to live without him, and he would be destroyed. She barely heard her ear piece beeping, and Fury saying that Barton was on the move. She had to try and save her friend, and determined to do that, she slid her Black Widow face on, though it took a minute or two. She pulled herself to her feet and for a second time that day she was running.

Flash forward

Yesterday they, The Avengers, had defeated Loki's Army. Aside from a couple bruises, scrapes and cuts, everyone was ok. The same couldn't be said for an untold number of New Yorkers. After Loki was turned over to SHIELD for detaining, with Thor's hammer sitting square on his chest, the team split up for the rest of the day. Tony started helping with clean up, his Iron Man suit making quick work of rubble trapping people, Clint was working with SHIELD's relief teams, pointing them towards the worse of the damage and helping collect the Chitauri weapons and equipment laying around. Thor was keeping an eye on Loki, while Banner hid in the Tower, recovering his strength. The Rogers went back to Steve's, their, SHIELD issued apartment.

Steve unlocked the door, and using what little strength he still possessed, picked up Natasha, carrying her over the threshold, the first time he had ever had the chance to do that in an area they owned. As soon as Steve had picked her up, Natasha started giggling, the I'm-happy-we-are-still-alive type giggles and continued to until Steve silenced her with a kiss. Steve went to [put her on her feet while still kissing her. Natasha however was having none of that, wrapping her legs around him. With one hand under her butt to hold her up, and the other closing and locking the door, he soon had them into their bedroom, and into the master bathroom, still fully clothed and dusty and dirty from the fight. Natasha reached to the side and turned the shower on, they were still fully clothed. "Nat, baby, I love you so much. I was afraid I was going to lose you today. I can't lose you" Steve muttered against her lips, his love for her was quite obvious, poking her butt.

"I love you too Steve. How about you show me how much you love me?" She said with her trademark smirk. His eyes dilated and he hungrily kissed her. They showed each other what the other meant to them until the water turned cold, before moving to the bed and continuing. It was well after dark before they stopped.

"Baby, after this blows over can we go somewhere? Maybe take that honeymoon we never got to take?" Natasha asked, her head laying on Steve's chest, his arm wrapped around her. Steve mumbled sleepy, even though they were super soldiers, he had reached his limit and was exhausted. She poked him, "what do you think Steve?" Steve just glared at her for a second before kissing the top of her head.

"How about we leave tomorrow, after Loki and Thor leave for Asgard? We just ride until we can't ride anymore?" He mumbled.

"Let's ride to North Dakota, and rent a cabin for a month? I can help you catch up on modern technology in a quiet and relax setting." She told him. He simply nodded, and mumbled something that sounds like perfect into her hair. Fury would be pissed with her requesting time off.

She was right, Fury was pissed, but honestly she couldn't bring herself to care. She was going for a two month long vacation (she was shocked she managed to get Fury to approve two months of leave). She and Steve packed a couple small bags with the essentials, a laptop, and their phones, before meeting the gang in Central Park for the sendoff. Natasha gave Steve a quick kiss before heading over to Clint, leaning on the SHIELD issued car as Loki was handed the other half of the cube container. She leaned and whispered into Clint's ear, "I bet Laura would love if you renovated the sun room in the back and made her a small office. Also tell the kids Auntie Nat says hello." Causing Clint to smirk and Loki and Thor disappeared in a brilliant blue beam. With their business concluded, she hugged Clint goodbye before shaking Bruce and Tony's hand and hopping onto the back of Steve's motorcycle. "Let's go soldier, our honeymoon started five minutes ago, I can't wait to do so many things with you" she purred into his ear, causing him to blush slightly, and roared out of the park without a further word, her hands roaming his chest.

AN: Three chapters in a day? Turns out I didn't need to do too much editing with this chapter except for some grammar issues, which isn't too bad since I originally wrote all the chapters on an iPhone. Mmat if get an account we can trade ideas, I've always needed someone to bounce ideas off of. Now we are where I originally left off, now nothing but going forward!
