Spera [Hope] - VII

"I didn't even know him and he gained my trust. He didn't even know me but had faith in me."

There was silence. His entrance was so sudden no one said anything. The boat rocked slightly.

"Wait…WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" Salamander shouted.

"I'm Natsu Drag-" the boat rocked a bit more furiously and Natsu feel. Could it be? He still had his motion sickness? Upon remembering it, the Shinken family never really left their house for an abundance of reason and Natsu's sickness must've been one of the factors. If there was one thing about Natsu, it was that if you were thinking about his motion sickness, he knew. If you tried to ask him about it, he'd cut you off. It was an old habit of his, something he did on instinct without thinking about. An old habit, huh? I decided to put it to the test.

"Hey Natsu, are you okay? Do you by any chance have m-" I started.

"No, I don't Lu-chan!" Natsu exclaimed. He then quickly covered his mouth. Eh? Lu-chan? He called me Lu-chan? But I thought that he had forgotton. Looking at him, he seemed stunned those words came out of his own mouth. Can't teach an old dog new tricks I see. His habit had always remained there, I see which made me happy that somewhere in that head of his, he knew me. I was so deep in thought I totally forgot about the situation I was.

"Alright enough games get this pansy outta here." Salamander demanded. Since he had his back towards me, I decided to pull out my keys ever so quietly. But as luck would have it, the jingle of the keys caught his attention. He quickly turned around and snatched them. "Don't worry yourself, you won't need these" he said and threw them overboard. Damn what was I gonna do now?

"Hey Lucy!" I looked up through the hole Natsu had made in the boat. Happy! "C'mon Lucy, I'll get you outta here." He had wings. This cat had frigging wings. Before I knew, he wrapped his tail around me and we flew off.

"But what about Natsu? Will he be okay?" I wondered.

"Eh... He'll be fine." Happy thought. What was with that pause? This cat worries me.

"Damn! Don't let em get away!" Salamander shouted. He started firing at us all sorts of magic, but due to Happy's quick thinking he missed. Phew we were safe now.

"Um Lucy?" Happy said.

"Yeah?" I responded.

"You're... heavy... my transformation is wearing off" Happy finished.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" With that we started falling, and as we were falling I remembered how if I ever fell, Natsu would always be there to catch me. Now this was different. After a long fall, Happy and I feel right into the cold ocean. This water was cold. Water? Didn't my keys fall here? I dived under some more to look for them, when I found them sitting on a few underwater rocks. I picked them up, then swam to the surface for air.

"Where were you? I thought you died!" Happy exclaimed cheekily.

"Haha very funny." I fumbled through my keys until I found the key I wanted. Her key. "GATE OF THE WATER BEARER OPEN, AQUARIUS!"

"Ooo0oOh a fish!" Happy began to drool.

"Not a fish, a mermaid and a celestial spirit at that! Long time no see Aquarius. I need you to send that boat back to the port" I commanded.

"Tch." She replied.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'TCH'?" I yelled.

"Shut up, you're so noisy. Listen girly, the next time you lose my key, I'll kill you." She said. With that she flushed the boat along with me and Happy to shore.

"Don't you think you were overdoing it, you flushed me too!" I screamed.

"Oops my bad" she said sarcastically. "Oh and don't summon me for a while. I'll be on vacation with my boyfriend. MY boyfriend." She smirked. With that she disappeared. Geez she didn't have to say it like that. But back to the matter at hand. I looked around for Natsu and found him on top of the ship's rubble. He looked angry. He was looking straight at Salamander.

"You're a fairy tail mage? I've never seen your mug in my entire life." He began to take off his jacket, and on is right shoulder, I couldn't believe my eyes. He had the mark of Fairy Tail on him! Natsu really kept his promise and became a Fairy Tail wizard!

"Hey Bora, I think this guy's the real thing!" said one of Salamander's henchmen.

"Don't call me that" Salamander snapped. Bora? Who was that?

"Bora. Prominence's Bora. He was thrown out of Titan's Nose Guild some years back." Happy explained.

"I don't give a damn about who you are, but I'll teach you a lesson about using Fairy Tail's name." Natsu said.

"Ha, try me! Prominence Typhoon!" Bora screamed. Suddenly fire began to gather like a spiral and quickly shot at Natsu.

"NATSU!" I tried to step in but Happy stopped me. When I looked at the burning flames, they looked odd somehow, almost as if they were decreasing on their own.

"Yuck, tastes like dog shit." I couldn't believe it, Natsu was eating the flames. And how did he even know what dog shit tasted like? "Heh, now I'm all fired up after that meal. FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!" Natsu let out a huge gush of flames and spewed them right at Bora and his crew.

"This is him! This must be the real Salamander! Rose colored hair and scarf that looks like scales! It's gotta be him!" one of Bora's crew shouted. Natsu is Salamander? What else is he? I didn't know this new Natsu well enough to find that out.

"This is the true power of a Fairy Tail wizard, remember it carefully, ya bastards. FIRE DRAGON'S FIST!" With that he socked Bora smack in the face, causing him to fly all the way until he hit the town bell. Wow, Natsu gave him two ass whoopings for the price of one. I was shocked at how powerful he was now. Although the damage he left behind was pretty formidable. Suddenly I heard the pitter patter of feet. I turned around and saw that it was the army! Oh no. Natsu quickly jumped down from where he was, grabbed my hand and we began to run.

"N-natsu? Where exactly are we going?" It was a little embarassing to be holding his hand after such a long time.

"What do you mean? You did this to join Fairy Tail right?" I nodded. "Well that's where we're going, would love to have you around! You seem pretty strong wizard." I blushed. Who even was this knew Natsu? He was playing with my feelings, yet he wasn't. Who really was this knew Natsu? Did I know him? I didn't even know him and he gained my trust. He didn't even know me but had faith in me. I smiled and gripped his hand tighter. We were going to Fairy Tail. It was now time for me to keep my end of the bargain.* Fairy Tail, here I come.

Konichiwa my nakama, after the longest hiatus ever, I am back to story writing! Alot of things have happened over this time, but I told myself that I would start writing again sometime and here i am hehe. Well, that's all I have to say to you guise for now.
