Sorry this took so long… Stupid writers block… well it's what I get for making the story up as I go along. Hope you like it!

"Whoooaaa! Is that place made of real candy?!" Haruna exclaimed as she practically drooled at the sight of Sugarcube Corner. They left Sweet Apple Acres a while ago, after that Spike showed the group Pinkie's home and workplace. Along the way Ayumu couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable when other ponies stared at him whenever they walked by, especially when these three flower shop ponies squealed in fear at the mere sight of him (although Spike assured him that they were some of the most skittish of Ponyville's residents).

Spike laughed a bit at her expression. "Haha, no. But there are a whole lot of sweets in there!"

"Well what are we waiting for?!" The pink unicorn cheered as she dashed towards the 'Hansel and Gretel-' style building. Haruna stopped and her eyes widened as she saw cakes and sweets as far as the eye can see. For a second Haruna swore she heard an angelic choir; ignoring the other ponies staring at her.

"Hi Haruna!" Waved Pinkie Pie from behind the counter.

"Hey, Puffy Pony!" Haruna waved back after snapping out of her daze as the rest of the group came through the door.

"You're just in time to try my new red velvet cream filled cupcakes!" the party pony cheered as she shoved a tray of cupcakes up to their faces. Haruna still helped herself and as soon as she took a bite she got a wide grin on her face.

"These are AWESOME!" She exclaimed as she gobbled up more.

"Haruna, slow down! Spike's probably gonna have to pay for all of those!" Ayumu scolded.

"Oh I wouldn't worry about that dear. Pinkie Pie always makes free samples for everypony." Assured a pudgy light blue earth pony mare with a swirly pink mane and tail, with three cupcakes as a cutie mark, who came from a door behind the counter along with a tall, lanky yellow earth pony stallion with an orange mane and tail, wearing a hat and apron, with three carrot cakes as a cutie mark.

The two of them stared at Ayumu for a moment but quickly remembered Pinkie mentioning him as she was making the cupcakes, saying how excited she was for them to meet Spike's new dragon friend.

"And I always make an extra-extra bunch for new friends!~" Pinkie added as she took out another tray of cupcakes seemingly out of thin air.

Haruna's already big grin got even bigger. "I LOVE THIS PLACE!"

Suddenly Eu used her magic to grab her by the tail to pull her back.

"Show a little self control Haruna…" Sera said as she shook her head in embarrassment, who which Haruna responded by sticking her tongue out at her.

Spike chuckled nervously at their behavior "Guys this is Mr. and Mrs. Cake. They own this place." He introduced, hoping the Cakes wouldn't be mad.

"Well… nice to meet you. These are quite *ahem* interesting folks you've got here Spike." Mr. Cake admitted. It was not just the teenage dragon with a lazy expression that smelled funny *1, it was the loud pink unicorn, the green pegasus who had the air of "mess with me at your own risk" and the dark purple "unicorn" wearing armor who hadn't spoke a word this whole time and kept an incredibly neutral expression to the whole thing. Sure Pinkie and her friends were really different, but these four seemed like they were always at odds.

Mrs. Cake went over Eu as she munched on a cupcake nonchalantly when nopony was paying attention. "How do like the cupcakes dear?" She asked hoping to strike a conversation.

'Yummy.' Eu wrote on her notepad.

"Oh I am so sorry! I didn't realize you were mute!" Mrs. Cake apologized.

"It's fine Mrs. C; it was an honest mistake, right Eu?" Ayumu assured.

"Hm." Eu nodded in response before going into a bit of a staring contest with Pinkie's pet baby alligator Gummy, who walked right in and stared right back at her.

Unbeknownst to everyone else Gummy was deep in thought. Staring into the living embodiment of death itself, sometimes life can't get more ironic or coincidental than this… *2

Later…

After Sugarcube Corner Spike decided to take the group to Fluttershy's cottage, thinking it would a peaceful part of his little tour. And it was… until Peewee decided to wander off and play with Angel, Fluttershy's rabbit, by pecking his head. Angel didn't like that and was about to kick the baby phoenix until Ayumu grabbed the rabbit at the last minute as Spike took away Peewee.

"Angel Bunny! Peewee's just a baby, he doesn't know better!" Fluttershy scolded her bunny as Ayumu put him down. Angel scowled and hopped away but not before (purposely) stepped on Ayumu's toe. It didn't hurt but it caught him by surprise.

"What an ironic name for that rabbit…" Sera mused at Angel's attitude.

"Why that little…" Ayumu mumbled until he heard Fluttershy's door fly open.

"Hey Ayumu! There you are!" Said Rainbow Dash as she flew in. "I've been looking all over for ya!"

"Really? Why?" He asked.

"Since I saw you fly to catch up to the migration back at the mountain I've been itchin' for a race against you! So whaddya say? How about one race before you guys leave?"

"Um… I don't know Dash. Since I'm a zombie I no longer get tired, you do since you're still alive. It wouldn't be fair…"

"Exactly! Win or not racing against a zombie would be the perfect challenge for me! Please?" Rainbow pleaded.

"That would be pretty cool to watch, Ayumu…" Spike added nonchalantly.

For some reason the thought of Spike watching him made him change his mind. "You know what Rainbow? Let's do it."

The blue pegasus grew an ecstatic grin on her face "Awesome! Come on let's tell everypony else and head to Ghastly Gorge!" She exclaimed as she was already pulling his arm to head out the door, with Spike and Peewee not far behind.

"Let's go Neckwearmancer! We gotta see this!" Haruna said to Eu who was petting some squirrels. She nodded as she walked out with her, Fluttershy and Sera.

But what they didn't know was that someone was watching them from the edge of the Everfree Forest.

"There's the magical garment girl…" The creature hissed as it licked its lips and started to follow them.

At Ghastly Gorge…

"Ready… Set… GO!"

Rainbow called out as she and Ayumu started their race through the gorge. Their spectators were at the finish line watching the race through binoculars.

"I don't know who to root for! Rainbow Dash is an awesome flyer but Ayumu can definitely give her a run for her money!" Spike said excitedly as he looked through his pair of binoculars with Peewee hoping up and down on his head as if he was cheering for them.

"Yeah! Go Rainbow Dash! Go Ayumu!" Pinkie Pie cheered as if they could hear her.

"Amazing… Ayumu already has a huge lead against Rainbow..." Twilight mused, silently hoping Rainbow won't be to upset if she loses.

'Not surprising' Eu wrote to Twilight.

Suddenly Haruna had a felt a jolt up her spine that only met one thing but wasn't expecting to feel in this world. No way… that can't be what I think it is!

…

Back at the race Ayumu was still far ahead of Rainbow. He was holding back considerably because he thought it wouldn't be as fun if he flat out dominated her but at the same time he was using enough strength to give her the challenge that she wanted.

"Hey Ayumu! Look out for the quarry eels up ahead!" He heard Rainbow yell from behind him.

"The what?"

He got his answer when a giant red eel the size of those whale Megalos came out from a hole ahead of him. Ayumu just barely dodged its jaws only to run into several more in his path.

"What the hell?!" He shouted in frustration.

"Sorry dude! Forgot to warn ya earlier!" Rainbow apologized as she caught up to him. The two of them kept flying away from the eel's mouth until another one came out quickly not giving them time to move.

"100% power!" Ayumu yelled as he gave the eel a strong punch in the mandible, making it retreat back in its hole.

"Awesome! Now see if you can keep up with this!" She said as she started to build up more speed until an outline form around her. It kept building up until she seemed to explode with a large burst of speed leaving behind a bright rainbow contrail and a disoriented zombie dragon.

Whoa! I'm guessing that's a Sonic Rainboom… Ayumu thought with amazement. Guess it's time to kick it up a notch!

"300% power!" He yelled as picked as he pushed his body to go beyond normal limits to go even faster. So much that he caught up to Rainbow Dash in no time at all.

"No way! Nopony's been able to keep up with after a Sonic Rainboom!" She said in shock.

"You mad?"

"Actually no! That just makes you even cooler!" the pegasus complemented.

Ayumu was starting to smile at the thought of being considered 'cool' until a distressed scream from above broke his thoughts.

"That sounded like Spike!"

"We better get up there!" Said Rainbow as she and Ayumu flew above the gorge and towards the finish line.

"Kid! Are you alright?!" Ayumu called out until his eyes widened at what he saw. It was a large coyote with glowing red eyes, standing on its hind legs… and wearing a Japanese boys uniform.

"A Megalo?!"

*1 I remember one episode when Haruna said that Ayumu smelled, I just thought it would be a good shout out

*2 Another reference to the 100th episode. I will never look at Gummy the same way again…

Cliffhangers! Gotta love'em! Well I still have two more chapters left of this story before I end it, once again it may take a while for inspiration to strike me.
