AN: CROSSOVER W/ Gallagher Girls!

Nicks POV

Katrina Bishop didn't lose her temper. Normally. She was a reasonable person.

Sadly this wasn't the case this time.

Kat had both hands on her hips. Her hair was mess like she just woke up.

Opps? Well that explained why she might be mad. She was tapping one foot and her mouth was scowling. Her eyes were blazing.

Hamish, Angus, Simon, and I all looked at the ground bashfully. Hale tried to calm her down.

"Kitty…"

"Don't you dare Kitty me! In case you forgotten I have finals today at eight! It is 2 am. I should be sleeping- not yelling at you because you boys had the idea to steal Christmas!"

Hale dropped his hand and looked at the ground. We all felt guilty.

We had to all attend school. The boys and I attended some rich school. Gabby attended some rich girl school. Kat was stuck in public school because she had been kicked out of most private schools. We were all on break. Kat unfortunately had finals.

She made us promise to be good and let her study.

We were good. Except for the small fight between Gabby and Angus. And the snow fight. And the small rocket. And now this.

Kat glared at us. She may have been only 5ft but she was scary.

"C'mon Kat! We were just trying to have some fun!"

"Fun! This is overboard Angus! Fun would be you bringing hot chocolate or something. Instead there is a fat man in a red suit, a small person with bells on their clothes, and a moose in my living room!"

Hamish of course had to open his big mouth and get us into more trouble.

"I think it's a reindeer actually."

Kat's fists tighten.

"Angus and Hamish- I don't know why I'm surprised. This is something you would do. Simon you are supposed to be smart. So why did you think it was a smart idea to kidnap Santa! And his elf! And his moose or reindeer, whatever! And Hale you are the oldest. You are supposed to be in charge and stop them- NOT encourage them! And Nick. You are new to the team so you still have no idea what they are capable of. But your mother works for Interpol! You should know better."

Her eyes landed on each of us as she addressed us. My head hung lower. She was right. I should know better.

"I have never been so disappointed in you boys. I'm going to bed."

Kat walked up the stairs leaving us feeling ashamed.

Kat was a pretty girl. When I first met I was drawn to her not because I liked her but because she was my idol. Over time, Kat became like a sister to me. I hated disappointing her.

We all looked at each other. I could see the boys all felt like I did. We turn to look at the people on the ground. We didn't kidnap them. We found them passed out drunk on the side of the road. We wanted to be good people and help them out.

We just didn't think how Kat would react.

Angus leaned down and picked up Santa. Hale picked up the reindeer (which was actually a dog with antlers), Hamish picked up the elf. We carried them back to the car.

"Umm where should we take them?" Angus asked.

Hale who was driving suggested the hospital. We agreed and took them there. The nurses were very understanding and gave us lollipops.

We each took two. I stole two for Kat and Gabby.

Hale stopped by the supermarket. He told all the boys except for me to wait in the car.

I pushed the cart down the aisle. Hale tossed a bunch of breakfast items, fruits, and sweets into the cart. He picked two bouquets of roses and four of flowers.

The cashier smiled at us. She batted her eyelashes at Hale.

"Aww. How cute! Are you making breakfast for your mom?"

Hale smiled politely and shook his head. "No. I'm making it for my girlfriend."

He gestured to me. "That's her little brother."

The girl's smiled dropped and she began scanning our items. We took them to the car and drove back silently.

Simon was the one who asked what we were all thinking. "On a scale of one to ten, how mad is she?"

Hale shrugged. "A 100 maybe?"

We all gulped. "So are we making breakfast today?"

Hale shook his head. "When's she done with finals. She might have calmed down by then. I don't want her throwing anything at me."

We all nodded. Kat finished finals in two days. Hopefully that would be enough time for her to calm down.

Kat had not calmed down. She ignored us for two whole days. She only talked to Gabby.

Simon tried to talk to her via Facebook. She ignored every message.

Angus and Hamish hadn't blown anything up since that day.

Hale tried to talk to her. He came back to us with a red cheek one time.

She refused to be in the same house as us.

She willingly went shopping went with Gabby. They returned with bags of clothes.

Kat and Gabby locked themselves in the bathroom.

We were sitting at the table. When they came out. Gabby was wearing her usual heels. Kat looked like a girl. I couldn't help but stare at her. She was wearing a skirt and a pretty blouse. Gabby must have put on some makeup on her. Kat grabbed her purse and a jacket.

"Where are you going Kat?" Hale asked gruffly.

Kat shrugged and sent him a smile. "I have a date tonight."

"A Date?"

"Yeah. He's nice."

The doorbell rang and Kat ran out.

Gabby giggled. Hale just walked up to his room. I was surprised that Kat had a date. I thought she and Hale were together. Then i heard the door slam and it hits me, they had something.

She got home late. It was about eleven.

The next morning, I smelled pancakes. I went downstairs and found Hale making a feast. He set places for everyone. One by one they all came down.

Kat actually flashed him a smile. "Thanks."

Hale nodded.

I sighed after four days she actually talked to us.

We all ate and laughed. It felt like normal. Maybe Kat wasn't as mad.

She and Hale washed the dishes. I knew it was wrong but I eavesdropped.

"How was your date?"

"Good."

"I'm sorry Kitty. It was stupid of me. I should have been more responsible."

"Hale. I'm not mad because of that."

"Then what."

"Nothing. Gabby was right. Boys can be so stupid."

"Kitty talk to me. I hate it when we fight!"

"Just forget it Hale!"

"No Kat!"

Hale grabbed her arm as she turned to leave. They were face to face.

"I care."

He leaned down and kissed her. My eyes widen. I knew I should walk away but instead I stayed.

Kat's arms went around his neck and her hands in his hair. Hale placed his hands on her waist. A loud crash echoed and I heard Hamish curse. The two broke apart and Kat nearly ran out of the room.

Kat was talking to us. We never brought up the Santa accident. It was for the best. Besides things between Kat and Hale or the parents (as the twins called them) were tense.

Kat had gone on a few more dates with Zach.

It was New Year's Eve and we were getting ready for the party.

Everyone had on their best clothes. Suits, dress pants, ties, heels , and dresses were everywhere. Kat's cousins and her friends were coming. We were all dying to meet them.

A sudden clearing of the throat caused all of us boys to turn to look at Gabby. She was in a bright long red dress. She had on gold high heels. She looked like Gabby just different.

"Kat's will come down in a bit. She's still getting ready."

About 5 minutes later the doorbell rings and people began arriving.

Zach arrives half an hour into the party and hurries up the stairs. I frown Kat still wasn't down.

I looked to make sure Hale was occupied. He was.

Isabella an old friend of his was chatting with him.

I snuck up the stairs and peeked through the keyhole. Kat was sitting on the bed and Zach was sitting next to her.

"She doesn't suspect a thing."

"She is going to be so surprised. You really love her."

"Cam's pretty special."

"She is."

"How are things between you and Hale?"

"Weird. Since out kiss, things haven't been the same."

"The first kiss or the second?"

"The second. I don't understand him. He gets mad because I go out to dinner with you but I later find out that he has been texting an ex of his. They went on a date a few months ago. Nick mentioned it."

Zach placed an arm around her. "He's jealous. That's good. It means he likes you a lot. And you can be friends with your ex. And dates don't matter. I mean I went on a 'date' with you and I'm going out with your cousin."

Kat laughed and nodded.

"It's just that I'm me. I'm nothing special. I'm not rich, or gorgeous. I'm…"

Zach stood up and crouched in front of her. "Katrina Bishop! Don't say that. You are special. You are gorgeous, sweet, and full of advice. Every inch of you is special. Hale likes you. You know that. Stop being so scared." He wipes away her tears.

""I know Zach. It just hurts seeing him with Gabby, Isabella, or his ex Vivian."

"You love him." Kat didn't say anything, she just stood up and smoothed out her dress.

"Ready?"

Zach held out his arm and I scurried off.

I stood next to Hale who had a glass of champagne in his hand. He turned to look at me and then gasped.

I turn to see Kat coming down the stairs. She's in a dark purple almost black dress.

She's looks so un-Katish. She's breathtaking.

She smiles shyly and clutches at Zach's arm. Hale frowns and tips his glass swallowing. He grabbed a second glass.

They come towards us and Kat introduces him. They head off to dance.

About an hour later, Gabby brings a group of girls over.

They range from fairy size to like a girl as tall as Angus.

Gabby introduces them as Bex (the strongest), Liz (the smallest), and Macey (the tallest).

The last one is Cam, Kat's cousin and apparently Zach's girlfriend.

We meet their respected dates- Grant and Jonas. Macey and Cam have no dates.

The couples head to the dance floor leaving their two friends standing awkwardly.

I hesitate and then ask Macey to dance. She agrees and I'm surprised to see that I'm taller despite her high heels. She is scanning the room. I smile.

"There are 12 windows. 90 steps to the door. There are 15 possible exists. The man in the corner is a security guard. And ½ of the people here have some kind of communication on."

She raises her eyebrows impressed. We chat and dance some more. I'm actually having fun.

Around 11:45 we hear static. We turn around to see Kat and Zach standing near the dj.

Macey and I head over to where the group is. Macey slips an arm around Cam and I stand next to Hale.

Kat smiles.

"It is about 15 minutes until midnight and I would like to thank everyone for coming. Tonight was a great night to catch up on everyone.

First of all I would like to congratulate my aunt- Gabby's mom on her recent marriage.

Simon who won yet another competition. (Hamish shoves Simon and Gabby gives his a glare. She touches his shoulder and gives Simon a smile.)

I would like to congratulate my aunt Rachel in her recent engagement to her longtime love Joe Solomon.

My aunt Abby and her boyfriend Townsend, for getting back together.

For Dad and his girlfriend Amelia.

I would like to also thank my cousin Cam for coming. Speaking of which, this young man next to me is Zach. He has a few things to say."

Kat steps back and Zach kissed her cheek. Cam gasps and I see a tear slide down her cheek. Hale tenses and he turns around to look at Cam. He moves to stand next to her and grabs her hand. I can tell they are searching for comfort. It doesn't take a genius to know that they both love Cam and Zach.

It is 7 minutes to midnight. Zach clears his throat.

" Thank you Kat. I met Kat about eight months ago.

I'm walking to the store and I see her. She reminds me of someone I used to know. Not appearance wise, but the way she acts.

She had the I want no one to notice me thing going on. She reminded me of my ex girlfriend. I talk to her and we become good friends. We talk about everything.

I tell her about my ex and she tells me about a special boy. I broke up with my girl because she was still hung over her ex. As for Kat, she and her boy still didn't clear the air. She tells me that she see that he flirts with a lot of girls.

About two months ago, she comes to me all excited. She tells me that her cousin is going to visit during winter break. So are her friends and the boy. I

t's a small world. Her cousin is the girl I love. Kat's boy is a good friend of one of my girl's best friends. Kat invites me to come. We go on 'dates' to figure out how to solve our relationship problems. We decided to just wing it."

Everyone is listening. 2 minutes to midnight. Cam is staring at Zach.

Zach's eyes land on Cam and he smiles.

"Cammie Morgan. I have been in love with you since I met you two years ago. I screwed up. Please give me one more chance."

Cam is already running up to Zach. He grabs her around the waist and swings her around. He puts her down and dips her, kissing her gently. I see Kat smile and walk to the balcony, she steps outside and I nudge Hale. I gesture to the balcony and he nods. He heads toward Kat.

I follow him quietly.

"Kat?"

I see Kat looking at the stars. She says nothing.

Hale steps closer.

"Kat. I'm sorry."

Kat tilts her head in his direction. Hale takes another step and places a hand on her waist. He turns her gently to face him. I see the tears on her cheeks "Kat. Don't you see? It's you. You're the only girl or me. I love you Kitty."

A hand pulls me away from them. I stare into the eyes of Macey

"Give them some privacy."

I look back and I see them whispering and smiling. Hale is leaning down to kiss her. I nod.

The countdown begins 10, 9, 8, 7,…

I see Gabby holding Simon's hand. Cam and Zach are kissing.

Her two couple friends are looking at each other and laughing.

Angus and Hamish are making two girls laugh.

I turn to see Kat and Hale. Hale has picked her up and is kissing her.

3,2,1! Happy New Year!

I turn to look at Macey and then I don't why I do it.

I lean over and kiss her. I don't why I did it.

Maybe it was because everyone else was kissing someone else but I don't regret it.

Later on when everyone leaves, it's just us the old gang.

We talk and laugh.

One by one they head to bed.

Kat, Hale, Macey, and I are the last ones.

Cam and Zach left back to who knows where.

I offer to walk Macey to her room and she agrees.

We walk in silence. When we get to her door, she kissed me.

I stand there in a daze as she slips into her room.

I head to my room and fall asleep.

What a great way to start the new year,

3rd person pov

Kat begged Hale to spend the night with her.

They had done it a few times but never after a kiss. They lay in bed. Hale with his arms wrapped around her under the blankets. Kat felt safe.

She realized that Zach was right.

She turn her head and kissed his jaw. "I love you Hale."

"I love you too Kitty."

"Hale?"

Hale yawned. "Ye-s?"

"I'm glad you kidnapped Sana, and the elf, and the reindeer."

"I'm glad you stole a kiss in the car 9 months ago."

The two feel asleep happy.

What a great way to start the new year.
