AN: Alright I am back and rearing with another chapter. Sorry I was gone for so long, but I am back. For those who don't know, I am writing a different crossover, Hobbit and Skyrim, and I will be trying to update a chapter for both each week. And since I am been gone for soooo long, I might even post another chapter right after this one.

Everything inside her was screaming, every cell, every instinct, wanted to purify the evil being facing down Yugi. The fake Kaibi, the ghoul, had summoned the blue eyes White Dragon, and even though 'Yugi' had his signature card, the Dark Magician, he was still 500 points short of the power needed to even stalemate his apponent.

"It may be his deck, but its not the true Seto" Kagome said to 'Yugi'. She new he was starting to have doubts afters seen the dragon.

"Don't worry Yugi, my feelings were hurt when you called me a liar." the Ghoul taunted, trying to feed in to the lie. "Now admit that you were wrong! Not having a real body isn't so bad. You wouldn't believe how much I save in food bills alone. But I get to enjoy the sweet taste of revenge, and I am going to taste it for a very long time" Mokuba went to shout at him, but Kagome beat him to the punch.

"Shut your cake hole, you lying filth" Kagome's anger got the better of her. "Keep your poisoned tongue behind your teeth, and duel. Or you will find out that even spirits can feel pain" the venom of the promise only made the ghouls smile wider.

"Ah, Kagome, how I have missed your striking words." he taunted, but continued the game. "I won't attack just yet. Why rush to victory, when I can draw it out as long as possible instead." He drew a card and placed it face down behind the dragon.

'Yugi quickly changed his magician into defense and summoned Curse of Dragon, also in defense. Only, the Ghouls card was defense paralyses, a trap. Damn, now his monsters couldn't be turned into defense, if they were, the were immediately turned into attack.

"Ha, its time." the ghoul shouted. "Blue Eyes use your white lightning" The beautifully deadly beast attacks, and lightning spewed from its maw, destroying 'Yugi's' dragon.

"Ya gotta admit, for a stiff this guy sure has game" the thug taunted out, poorly, but it still upset Mokuba.

"Thats not my brother! There's just no way!" Mokuba denied. "Yugi, you know thats not him, just like Kagome knows. My brother... everyone thinks he's a bad guy, but I know my brother and he's not mean like this. He's my best friend in the whole world and that thing is not him. Ya just gotta believe me." Mokuba started crying. Kagome went to touch the kid, but mr thug pulled him away by the arm, warningly.

Kagome could see that he was still having a hard time believing, with Kaiba standing there and his deck filled the Blue Eye's, she could see that it would be plausible.

But Seto loved his brother too much to be this cruel. And he would never give up his company. He had worked to hard to get it where it was today, where he had gotten his family from the orphanage all those years ago.

This was not Set.

"I play Magical Hats" 'Yugi' called, placing the card and 4 hats with question marks on them appeared on the field, and his Dark Magician disappeared beneath one of the hats.

"Are you so desperate that you had your Dark Magician doing simple hat tricks?" the Ghoul taunted.

"Its not a trick and its not so simple" he explained. "Your move, But you better think twice before you choose." he taunted back. Finally a little for fire in him. "Just do the math, just 4 hats and only 25% chance you will find the Dark Magician. The real question is, what else is hiding beneath those hats?"

"Way to go, Yugi" Joey hollered. This was good, a scare tactic to scare the scare. Everyone waited with baited breath as they waited for the Ghoul to choose the hat to attack, as that was all he could do.

"So predictable" he said, "I know where the Dark Magician hides."

"If you're so sure, then make your move" 'Yugi' replied.

"Its a shame this duel is going to end so soon. White Lightning!" the dragon attacked the hat last on 'Yugi's' left. Only it was empty.

Kagome sighed, close.

"Your guess was wrong, guess wrong again, and it will cost you." 'Yugi' laid down a face down. A trap? or a spell? There are still 3 magical hats still left on the field, and one of them holds a special surprise just for you."

"If you destroy the hat that holds my Dark Magician, you'll win this duel. Choose the empty one, and its my turn again. But I am betting you'll hit the hat with the trap card i just put into play." Mind games, gotta love em.

"This is a big gamble Yugi" Joey spoke.

"If he guesses right, its over" Tristan worried.

The ghoul took his chance and attacked the middle hat. 'Yugi' smirked. He hit the trap.

"Well now you've done it. Gone and activated my trap, that is. Spell Binding Circle!" a flash of electricity shot to the dragon and intricate circle with spell scroll design around it, wrapped around the dragons middle.

"A Blue Eye's White Dragon is usually unstoppable, but once drained of its energy by the spell binding circle, It's no mach for the full power of my Dark Magician!" the purple Magician rose from his bidding place menacingly, and with a swing of his staff, a flash of dark energy flashed and the dragon was no more, digitized at its defeat.

There were cheers of victory at the dragons destruction, but suddenly there was another Blue Eyes on the field and it immediately attacked the Dark Magician in a surprise attack. With the dragons full power, the magician was no more.

"There are only three Blue Eyes dragon cars in the world, and I have all three in my deck." He laughed and Kagome got goose bumps. Your grandfather had the 4th, but I ripped it up. But how could I possibly know that if I am not Kaiba? Ya know I couldn't believe it when you beat all three of my blue eyes with Exodia. But now without that monster in your deck, there is absolutely no way you can win."

"Your move"

"Everyone heard about your duel with Seto, Thats how he knows, not because he is the real Seto. This fake needs to stop with the mid games" Kagome spoke up. "Thats not the true Kaiba," Yugi nodded, starting to believe.

But that didn't mean he was out of the woods. With matching life points and the second dragon on the field, things weren't looking up.

Yugi played the Ferral Imp, forced into attack mode.

"He beat him once, he can beat him again" Tristan stated, complete trust in his smaller, but slightly smarter, friend. Kagome just hoped that some miracle would swoop in and help Yugi, cause he was going to need all the help he could get.

"Blue Eyes attack!" the fake yelled, spurring his glistening dragon. Literally.

the dragon has lights shooting from random points in its body, and didn't attack. or it was, and just going really slow.

"I said attack!"

The dragon started to glitch, and seemed to be loosing attack power as it seemed to be melting. It seemed to stop just at 2000 points, but it would be enough to save Yugi, the difference would cost him the duel.

Suddenly a voice echoed Yugi's name, resonating in both Yugi's mind as well as Kagome's. Both of them had a glowing eye on their foreheads, but no ones noticed, not even themselves.

The white light was blinding, and Kagome had to turn her head away, but she had a smile on her face.

God really does answer your prayers.

The Ferral Imp stood alive and well after the light dissipated. By this time, the dragon was very week and had called of own attack.

Or it had heard its true masters call, for after stopping its attack, it destroyed itself somehow, and dissipated from the field.

Everyone stood in awe of what just happened and Kagome had a shit eating grin on her face. Seto, the true owner of the deck, had come to Yugi's need, and the heart of the cards proved true again.

"Why me!" the ghoul moaned, grabbing his head in disbelief.

"Because Kaiba is still alive. He stopped you" Kagome told him bluntly, and 'Yugi' nodded in agreement.

"Silence! I am Kaiba!

"Enough! This charade is over!" Yugi yelled back.

"Its like Yugi said. Last time he dueled my brother, he showed Seto the heart of the cards!" Mokuba explained excitedly. "This faker may have taken his deck, but the real Seto Kaiba is alive and well."

"Impostor" Yugi challenged. "The real Seto Kaiba destroyed that monster. I know because I sensed him calling out to me when it happened. Now enough of your lies, we know you aren't Kaiba. It's time for you to show us who you really are!"

"I told you, I am Kaiba." he shrilled out. "At least, a part of him. The darkest part".

Every part of him bulged and the school uniform he had been wearing tore apart, like hulk in a costume, the seemed to be another person ripping from the shell that looked like Seto.

One ugly person. Guess that was why he was a ghoul.

"I guess you don't recognize me. I wasn't lying when I said I was Seto Kaiba. The evil part of him that you sent to the Shadow Realm after our lat duel. Now I am back, thanks to Peagasus!" a creepy laughed bubbled from his swollen throat.

"Ew! It's hideous." Tea cried, and shivered.

"I thought this duel might turn ugly, but I never thought dat ugly!' Joey explained. Kagome could only snort. He had clearly never seen a toad demon before.

"If I was you, ugly, I would be worried about what Seto is going to do once he finds out that you have been playing with his deck." Kagome taunted. "If he is anything like my Otouto-san, you are i for a world of hurt."

"I just don't know what to call you" Yugi contemplated. "I was thinking about monster, but I didn't want to insult the cards." the ghoul just smirked evilly. "Its your move. You have a whole deck to go through, and only one Blue Eyes dragon left."

The ghoul drew his card, and layer down Grappler in defense mode. Yugi matched the turn with one face down and Celtic Guardian in attack and quickly destroyed the defense creature.

The Ghoul a monster in defense and a another card face down. Again Yugi played a face down and the Mystical Elf, with her special book of magic to raise her defense and attack by 300. They were both stalling and building up their strength and defenses.

"Prepare, for the Blue eyes white dragon!" he had drawn the card that he really didn't need and played it to the field.

"Don't worry Yugi, my brother will help out, just like he did last time." Mokuba said confidently.

"Dream on." Kimo suddenly spoke up. "His lucks about to run out. Just see for yourself. Unlike the lat one, this dragons at full strength and your brother is in no position to do a thing about it." he laughed. "Cause we found were his hiding place was and now he's on the run."

"So that means Kaiba is alive" stated Tristan.

"Dimwit, it means don't expect another miracle." the fancy dressed thug snarked.

"Such a good dragon, wouldn't you say Yugi?" ghouls laughed out. "Go white lightning attack!"

"This duel is not over yet" the boy said confidently and laid down a card. "Activate Mirror force!"the attack reflected back away from the Mystical elf.

"Pretty good trick, but I will use one of my own. Negate attack!" he laughed out. the reflected lighting his little vortex's and disappeared.

However Yugi laughed.

"Its time to finish this duel, with Monster Reborn!" Yugi placed the card down. He could revive any card that was played, for either decks of this duel. "Be reborn, Blue Eyes White Dragon!"

"Yes! finally the field is in Yugi's favor!" Kagome jumped up and down, happy that he was now in the lead. "He has got this one in the bag!" the others nodded with her.

"Fat lot of good that will do you, Yugi. Both our dragons are evenly matched" Ghoul exclaimed. Yugi just smiled, calm and collected as usual. Confidence.

"Their powers are not the same" he stated. "You forgot about my mystical elf. She's been chanting away a spell sense I put her on the field. it allows the mystical elf to transfer her own attack power to any monster of my choosing. This move was inspired by Seto himself. He showed me you can alter the attack power of a blue eyes white dragon. But I am raising the power of mine instead of lowering, like Kaiba did to yours."

"This can't be happening! Oh no!" the ghoul panicked, clutching his face.

"Consider this a message from the real Seto Kaiba. You lose! Now Blue Eyes, Obliterate!"

The newly strengthened dragon charged and shot a deadly blow of lighting to the other dragon, turning it to digital dust, and Ghouls points dropped to 0. The force of the blow was so strong, they could actually feel the wind coming from the blast.

Kagome could feel an ancient power stirring, and somehow the power was familiar, like a warm caress on her skin, and somehow she new it was the spirit in Yugi's body. Suddenly a burst came and then the evil that she had been feeling was completely gone.

When the light died down, her eyes confirmed what she had felt. The ghoul had been banished back by that powerful energy. It was dark, but not evil.

She quickly went up to the red platform and grabbed Seto's deck.

"He will be needing this back when ever we find him" Kagome said to Yugi, who stood with her. Nodded in agreement. She placed the cards in a special deck holder and placed it safely in her monstrosity of a bag.

"That ghost is toast!' exclaimed Joey.

"I knew that the real Kaiba was alive the whole time." Tristan stated with is nose in the air. everyone just rolled their eyes.

"Sure ya did." Tea padded her hand on his shoulder. Suddenly she looked panicked. "That creep took Mokuba!" Everyone quickly looked around, but it was too late. The kid was gone.

Kagome was slightly panicked, and she jumped down from the stand before 'Yugi could stop her. She franticly looked in the trees to try and catch a glimpse, but he was already gone, probably when the dragon had attacked. She bit at her fingers, trying to use her reiki to see if she could sense him, but he was no were to be seen.

What would happen to him? He was just a kid. He didn't need to be in the middle of a power struggle! Kids shouldn't have to go through something like this, at least not by himself.

Suddenly a warm hand was on her shoulders and she found herself looking into Yugi's eyes. Only, it was the spirit, not the true Yugi. He pulled her hands from her face gently with one hand.

"Everything will be alright. We will find him. He is most likely back at the castle, where grandpa is. That seems to be his favorite place, so why not keep them close at hand." His voice was soothing, familiar somehow, and she took a deep breath in and then out, calming her nerves.

"Thanks, who ever you are." she said quietly. They were in the trees, and the others couldn't see them, but she said it quietly anyways. He gave her a questioning look. I know that you are a spirit in Yugi, not Yugi himself. At least not at this moment." He seemed shocked.

"How did you now?" he asked, no one else gave any inclination to knowing him. She shrugged.

"When you change, even if its him tapping into you, there is a subtle change, not enough for most to see, but I have extra... senses, that are telling me this. Don't worry I will keep it secret for now." She promised. "I think your little vessel needs to find out for himself."

He nodded, and gave a small smile.

"Thank you." he said, and Kagome nodded, a smile of her own gracing her face. "Come, lets join the others." and with that they joined the other part of their group.

And when Yugi turned around again, he was Yugi again, not the spirit. And still he did not notice.

Kagome sighed and looked up at the sky. Her fingers still felt warm were the spirit had pulled her hand away, at her wrist.

Could the spirit be one of the pieces to her own puzzle?
