New chapter up. Let me know what ya think.

Robin-13 Much-12 Cel-11

His feelings had not gone away, every day they were with each other they had gotten stronger. Robin became overly protective often raising the eyebrows of their parents. He found himself becoming quieter around her, shyer. One day he had thought about kissing her on her cheek as they had sat on the hill overlooking Locksley. He had looked over and saw how pink her cheeks became in the afternoon summer heat and wanted nothing more than to lean over and kiss them.

Even thinking back to it now his stomach did flips. He Much, and Celandine sat on a log in Sherwood enjoying an afternoon snack of fresh picked fruits. Celandine, as usual, sat between the older boys dangling her legs off and complaining about her skirt.

Celandine's mother came around one of the large oak trees smiling, "Cely dear, its time to head home." She stated. Celandine sighed before getting down. Robin and Much fallowed suite. She hugged Much goodbye, than turned to Robin. He wrapped his arms around her and for a second felt her brown hair on his face before letting go. She waved walking away. Once out of earshot Much had hit the back of Robin's head.

"What the-" He turned seeing his friend glare at him.

"You're a fool, falling for her? Our best friend!" Much yelled, "Honestly…"

"What is this about?" Robin asked folding his arms.

"You and Celandine. That can't happen!" Much ordered.

"It can too."

"Rob, if you mess things up with her not only do you loose a friend, but I will too. I can't take sides if you two are in an argument, or worse." Much explained. "If you proceed with a relationship than you can never go back to just friends. Next thing you know she is ignoring, than avoiding, than she will be just like all the other girls who think that one rough experience with a boy makes them wanted by all the other boys. No! Robin just no!"

"I love her." Robin said, "I think I do at least, and nothing can stop that Much." He said uncrossing his arms. " If you are my friend than you should support my decision in asking her to accompany me to the summer festival, she will be twelve by than."

Much sighed, "Treat her badly and I will kill you Robin." Much warned before walking back to the village.

"I swear, I could never." Robin muttered.

(PRESSENT)

Rowan sat cross legged listening to her fathers story. He had never spoken to her, not once, about his childhood or his true relations with her mother.

"So you fell in love with her at what, thirteen?" She asked looking across the small fire. "Father, when I was mothers age than I had no desire to even look at a boy."

Robin Hood laughed and fed the fire more wood, "Yet you do now." He stated. "Lionel seems to fancy you Ro."

"I guess, I would feel in you and Much's shoes than." She stated, "While I do-I suppose I do- have feelings more than friendship for him, but I do not want to ruin the last six years we have been friends." She looked down. " At least that's what my head tells me." her cheeks flushed red as she bit her lip.

Robin nodded smiling at her.

"Did you ask mother though? To the festival?" She asked changing the subject off of her.

(Past)

"Its not fair for the other girls, the ones in the richer families. Even in the poorer ones." Celandine stated, "They all are forced by their fathers to marry so young."

"What got you on this?" Robin asked as the trio walked around the village on market day.

"A girl I met recently, she's twelve, her father is marrying her off to a twenty year old man. You ask me its revolting and I am sure glad my father has no such arranges." She explained holding her head high, "I shall choose to marry and have babies when I see it fit!"

Robin and Much laughed at their younger friend.

"What?" She smiled, "I want to fall in love not be forced into love." She explained doing a little spin . "Are the too of you going to the festival?" She asked grinning green eyes sparkling.

"Of course we are!" Much said.

"I was about to ask if…" Robin said turning to her. "If-"
"If what?" Celandine said tilting her head to the side making her smile crooked.

"Ya Rob, if what?" Much said glaring at him.

"If you would go with me?" He said ignoring Much. He looked down at the younger girl, "Only if you want to."

She dropped her smile for a moment and looked down, "As accompany, or?" She said in her confused tone.

"Um-"Robin thought for a moment, "I-."

"Yes," She answered, "I will go with you." Thank goodness. Robin thought breathing a sigh of relief. He grinned down at her and began to speak when she cut him off, "You will have to get my fathers permission first, and I want flowers." She said lifting her chin up.

"Flowers?" Robin asked, "What kind?"

Celandine laughed and shrugged, "You can ask him when you walk me home." She stated.

Out of the corner of Robin's eye he saw Much shaking his head at him a frown set on his face.

"Go on ahead, I am going home." Much said before walking quickly away.

"What's his problem?" Celandine asked laughing.

"I don't know." He answered scanning around them, I'm sorry Much, he thought, forgive me one day.

"Come on silly bird!" Celandine said yanking his arm and pulling him away from town.
