Lucy's POV.
"AHHHHHHHH!" I screamed as I struggled under Erza's grasp. "Stop!" I cried as sobs racked through my body.
"Lucy!" Wendy yelped as she jumped onto Natsu. I let out a sigh of relief knowing that he wouldn't tear up my face any more, but as soon as I did intense pain shot to my face.
"AHHHHH!" I screamed again as salty tears ran over the shriveled skin. Natsu had burned the entire right sighed of my face, excluding my eye. I silently thanked him. Even though he had burned me, at least he had let me keep my eye.
Or was he saving that for last.
I lay on the floor and watched as Wendy heroically punched Natsu repeatedly. Though the moment didn't last long as he threw her off of him. My vision slightly blurred as I saw him race back towards me. Suddenly I saw a blue person by my side. Juvia? I could feel her tears on my face. Suddenly, a soothing water crept over my skin, and a little bit of the pain went away. I suddenly couldn't hear.
Everything went black.
Juvia's POV.
Juvia can't believe it. Juvia thought that everyone loved Lucy. Juvia was angry. Juvia was extremely angry. Juvia couldn't believe Gray-sama would do this. Juvia felt hatred. Juvia saw red.
Juvia attacked.
Wendy's POV
Juvia just jumped on Gray. I can't believe it. How can my kind, caring nakama be so cruel? I thought that they were family! Why can't they see that Lucy would never do that! She would never hurt one of her family for no reason. I know that for sure. But they don't. Why? Haven't they gone through enough together to trust her?
No. They just don't care. I have to get them out of here. I grabbed Juvia.
"We have to get Lucy out of here." I whispered. She nodded and got off of Gray. I could see swelling all over his face. Juvia must be really mad to have punched Gray, and I am so grateful to know that someone else cares for Lucy like I do.
We gently picked her up. Erza glared at us, but wouldn't hurt us because we hadn't actually betrayed them. She must think herself heroic. It makes me so mad. Natsu made a move to go after us but got held down by Erza.
"Just let them go. They can pity the traitor for all I care." She roughly held Natsu back as a look of rage settled on his face.
The Next Day, No one's POV.
Lucy woke to find Juvia and Wendy caring for her burns. She was lying on her back on Wendy's bed because they didn't have Lucy's keys. The celestial mage felt bandages on her face, and remembered the terrible treatment that her naka- former nakama had gave her.
"Lucy? Are you okay?" Wendy asked as she started to unravel the bandages so she could heal the burns.
"Well, the pain is still pretty intense."
"You know what I mean." Wendy gave her a sympathetic look and Lucy sighed.
"I feel like crap. I don't get it! Neither me or my spirits have come within 5 feet of Lisanna the past month, so how could I have hurt her!" She ranted. She didn't get it. Had Lisanna… set her up? "Anyways, I wanted to ask you… can you not heal the place where Natsu first burned me? I want to remember… to never trust him again."
"Are you sure Lucy? It will hurt and it won't be pretty."
"I'm sure, Wendy." She attempted at nodding but stopped as she felt her neck sting.
She stared at the ceiling as a cool feeling crept up her spine and soothed the pain that burned over her skin.
"Wendy, I don't know if I can stand it any more. I feel like they're all staring at me, pointing at me… laughing at me. I just can't… I can't…" a tear ran down Lucy's face as Wendy finished her healing.
"I know, Lucy, I-" Wendy started, but never had the chance to finish because of a certain rain women.
"Lucy should not cry. Chin up. Juvia doesn't like seeing love-rival cry." Juvia told lucy while magically making the tears on Lucy's cheeks rise into the air and splatter on the ground. "If Lucy can't take it, Lucy should leave." Juvia stated in a matter of fact tone.
"Juvia! Don't tell Lucy to leave!" Wendy cried out. She stood up and glared up at Juvia. "She doesn't need another friend betraying her."
"No, no! Juvia isn't telling Lucy to leave. Juvia is saying that if Lucy wants it, Juvia will leave the guild with Lucy so she can be free." Juvia said. Wendy stopped in her tracks and looked at her, confused.
"You would really leave Fairy Tail?" Wendy asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yes, because Juvia cares."
"Then I will go as well. Lucy, what do you think? I think the guild deserves it after what they have put you through." Wendy said and looked at Lucy questionaly. She really hoped Lucy would say yes, but then again, Lucy was so devoted to Fairy Tail.
"I…I don't know. I don't want to force you two to leave…" Lucy began. She knew both of her friends loved Fairy Tail like family, and that they must care immensely for her to be willing to leave. She knew she was lucky to have such strong, caring friends.
"It's ok, Lucy. I've actually been wanting to leave recently… there has been something I needed to confirm for awhile. But I didn't want to leave with such selfish reasons." Wendy stated. It was true. Wendy had been having strange dreams the past month. In every dream, near the end, two eyes would show up. The eyes were grey, with rings that were gold. Slowly, a face would also begin to show, but she had always woken up before it was clear. She had wanted to tell someone at the guild, but whenever she tried, she backed down at the last moment because it sounded silly.
"Wendy, are you sure you aren't making that up to make my decision easier?" Lucy asked, giving Wendy a look.
"No! I'm serious." Wendy shook her head.
"Juvia?" Lucy looked at Juvia. She thought it would hurt Juvia if she had to leave her beloved Gray-sama.
"Juvia knows what Lucy is thinking. But Juvia also knows that Gray-sama will… will ne-never return Juvia's f-feelings." Juvia sniffled. She had known for a while her attempts were useless. But she had never admitted it to herself, it was to hard.
"Oh, Juvia. It's ok." Lucy said, raising her back so she could hug the girl who was sitting on her bed.
"Yeah, Juvia. There are plenty fish in the sea." Wendy said softly, joining the hug. Juvia sobbed in the way only Juvia can onto the shoulders of her best friends. Wendy felt something tug on her hair, and she looked to see Juvia's hand holding her hair as she sobbed. Lucy's panic level soared as she felt the air fly out of her lungs.
"J-Juvia. You're k-killing m-me!" Lucy gasped out and clawed at Juvia's hand. Juvia felt the nails tearing at her skin and quickly whipped her hand away, resulting in Lucy's face being slapped by the water mage. Juvia's eyes widened as she stared at the hand mark on Lucy's cheek.
"Juvia is so sorry! Please forgive her!" Juvia sprang off the bed and bowed down, with her head touching the floor. Wendy looked upon the scene with amusement. And when she couldn't hold it it anymore, she burst out laughing. Lucy looked down at the awkward position Juvia was in, with her hat falling off her head, and an eruption of laughter sprang from her throat.
Juvia didn't know what was so funny.
After the laughing spree, the three girls lay down on the bed together, and stared at the ceiling of Wendy's apartment. An air of melancholy had surrounded the three as they thought of the guild they had been a part of for so long. The guild that once was so loving, lively, cheerful. It was still two of those things: lively and cheerful. But no longer was that guild loving. No, now it was cold. Fairy Tail had changed, and not for the better. All three of them knew it, but none of them said it out loud.
The Next Day, Wendy's P.O.V
I turned to the street that houses the guild that I love, but love guiltily. I know I should hate them for what they have done to Lucy… but I don't. These guild mates who abused and ignored Lucy, are the same guild mates who saved me, accepted me.
As I open the doors, an aura of hatred knocks into my chest. I step into the guild and close the doors carefully behind me as my face took a curious expression. Why do I feel so much hatred around me? I've never felt this before within the guild. I look up to see Team Natsu on the stage at the front of the guild, and words of betrayal reach my ears.
"Every one!" Natsu announces. "I have sorrowful news. Lucy, your guild mate, your friend, has assaulted a member of our guild in cold blood. Lucy attacked Lisanna when she was alone two days ago. You may have witnessed the… scene yesterday, but you have to know that Lucy deserved that treatment. She seriously injured Lisanna, but luckily, she managed to escape and get to Wendy. Wendy healed her injuries, and Lisanna reported this terrible crime to us." I heard my guild mates whisper terrible things about Lucy, why-
Wait. Lisanna never came to me to heal her injuries, why is he lying?
"WAIT!" I screamed. My friend's faces turned to me, some shocked that I had raised my voice. "I never treated Lisanna's injuries! She never came to me!" I yelled in Natsu's direction. A look of confusion passed over his face as he turned to Lisanna, but as soon as he saw her, a look of determination settled on his face.
"SEE! She has brainwashed Wendy into siding with her! Who would you rather believe, an innocent friend who you have known for years, or Lucy, who wouldn't even tell us who her parent were? What else is she keeping from us?" He screamed over the crowd. Apparently, they trusted Lisanna more. They started nodding, though I saw some reluctant faces. Levy, Cana, and Asuka all looked reluctant to agree. I looked hopefully at them, but slowly, each of them gave in a joined the chant.
"Kick her out! Kick her out!" The noise thundered around the hall.
"Charle!" I screamed, and the white exceed appeared behind me. "Come on. We need to go to master's office." I ran up the stairs and harshly opened the door to find a drunk master passed out on his desk. I rolled my eyes and ran towards him, quickly making him sober enough to wake up.
"What's all the commotion, child? Kick who out?" He asked frantically.
"Their talking about Lucy! I need to get her out of here or they'll-"
"What will they do? What are you talking about, child?" Master asked, his eyes filling with panic.
"I don't have time to explain! Please, remove my guild mark. Lucy's too-"
"Master!" Juvia burst into the door. "Master, please remove Juvia's guild mark as well. Juvia needs to get Lucy out of here!" She said frantically.
Master nodded, though a sorrowful aura appeared around him. He quickly erased our marks and started chanting. He knew that Lucy's would have to be removed as quickly as possible, for the guild below was getting energetic. When master was done, he looked up at us.
"Leave now, girls, before it's too late."
Me and Juvia ran out of the guild, never looking back
Ok, I know it's not 3,000 words. But I needed to post quickly or I never would've. Anyways, now I will respond to the reviews I got.
Guest,
Thank you so much for your support! I really like this topic and I love reading it so I thought, why not write one myself!
Guest (Shy Guy),
So many thanks! I am only beginning to write stories so I guess I can only get better! I hope…
Flamexofxchaos,
Thanks for the warning, and taking the time to read! Have you had an experience with DoomMarin54?
Anyways, thanks so much for the support. Lucy, Wendy and Juvia will probably join Crime Sorciere because no one seems to be voting on my poll. Right now it's a tie between Mermaid Heel, Crime Sorciere, Betrayed Angels (made up) and Lucy's own guild. If you don't like those options, better vote! Anyways, I really hope you guys will P.M me about what magic Lucy will use. I need the information soon and only two people have talked to me so far. (Thanks Flamexofxchaos, Tillybananalover)
Please review! I know it's not publish-worthy but maybe someday.
