"Well, let's introduce each other, okay?"
"Of course, Yukimura-kun," Fuji said, a small smile on his face.
Suddenly Ryoma was aware how similar his companion and the leader of Rikkai were.
"Well, as you seem to already know, I'm Yukimura Seiichi."
The tensai tiled his head a bit, "Nice to meet you. I'm Fuji Syuusuke."
Then Fuji glanced at him,"Come on, Ryo-chan, be nice."
The fifteen year old scoffed, "Echizen Ryoma."
Yukimura, once again, chuckled, "Might I ask you what exactly leads you to Rikkai?"
"Oh? I'm sure you know, Yukimura-kun."
"Ah, maybe I do," the leader said as he looked at Ryoma.
"Will you tell me, Echizen-kun?"
"Didn't Fuji-senpai already say," Ryoma sighed, looking back at Yukimura, "you already know. So get to the point."
A sigh left the blue haired boy's mouth.
"You're not funny."
"Thanks, I try my best to be not funny," Ryoma muttered.
"Well then, I'll get to the point. You want to join Rikkai, right?"
Ryoma nodded in wary.
"I approve, but Fuji-kun... You still need to get your punishment for last time."
"Punish... ment?" The fifteen year old boy looked at his senpai.
Yukimura smiled coldly, as he noticed how the tensai seemed to try and shield the little boy.
"I have something." Yukimura walked to Ryoma, laying on his cheek.
Suddenly Fuji opened his eyes in alert.
"Echizen Ryoma, I've decided. You're going to be my personal butler, bodyguard or whatever you want to call it."
"You," Fuji hissed, trying not to attack Rikkai's leader, "you can't do th-"
"Okay."
Both looked at Ryoma. Yukimura surprised, having not excepted for Ryoma to accept that so easily and Fuji horrified, not wanting to believe that Ryoma would accept this.
"What are you saying, Ryoma..."
"I'm going to accept."
"Y-you...!" With that Fuji turned around and left the room.
Yukimura, "Ah, I guess I need to apologize. I didn't mean to be that harsh."
Ryoma scoffed, "Mean? Harsh?"
"Hm?" Yukimura looked at him.
"Please, you were worse."
"Maybe," he muttered, searching something in his pocket, "... found it!"
Suddenly he took Ryoma's hand and laid a earring in it. The earring's shape was a moon.
"... Why?"
"Wear it, it'll help us a lot in future."
Ryoma looked at his leader to see that he had a sun shaped earring.
As both were wearing their earrings, Ryoma asked the question that wouldn't leave his mind.
"For what the earrings? And is there a reason for the shapes?"
"They have mind link magic on them."
Ah, that explained everything. So they would able to communicate in mind in future.
"And as for the shape... I'll give you one day."
"One day?"
"Yes, one day to find out. Will you manage it, Ryoma-kun?"
"Of course, Yukimura-sama."
Fuji was walking around the corridors, huffing in annoyance.
"How could he just accept?!"
"That's not how I expected to meet you after such a lot time," a voice said.
The tensai turned around to see Rikkai's data ability user.
"But then again, I didn't except to meet Echizen as well."
"Renji..."
"It's been some years, Fuji Syuusuke," Yanagi spoke up, "Some years since you..."
Fuji looked to the side, not daring to look at Yanagi.
"... Since you left Rikkaidai."
Ryoma got down, looking around the shop.
"Do you like it here?"
He turned around to see the boy with pink hair, "I guess, it seems nice."
The pink haired boy grinned, "Good to hear! I'm Marui Bunta, call me Bunta."
"Echizen Ryoma. Please call me as well by my first name."
"Okay, Ryoma. Wanna something to drink?"
"... Do you have Ponta?"
Marui winced, "Sorry out of it at the moment."
"... It's okay."
"Hm... Wanna a milkshake? They're pretty sweet."
Ryoma thought for a moment, but nodded then.
"Okay! Which flavor?"
For some reason Ryoma couldn't help but say one thing in that moment.
"Surprise me."
Bunta's eyes seemed to sparkle, "I will!"
"... Is something, Seiichi?"
Sanada and Yukimura were currently playing chess and Yukimura kept starring at the black queen and one of the black rider with a smirk on his face.
*He caught one. Well, two if you count Syuusuke as well.*
"Mhm, nothing, Genichirou, nothing."
"... I know," Fuji said, still avoiding Yanagi's gaze.
"Why did you abandon Rikkai... No, wrong question," Yanagi shook his head, "why did you run away from Rikkai?"
"Because...," Fuji now looked at Yanagi, opening his eyes.
"... Because you took him away."
The data user frowned, "Fuji, we already told you, we didn-"
"Liar! And now you're planning to take Ryoma as well!"
"Fuji... Echizen-kun accepted the position out of free will."
"He didn't! I'm sure... he... didn't..."
Why are you so stubborn, tensai?
"Here, your milkshake~"
Marui grinned at him, "Tell me how it tastes, 'kay?"
Ryoma nodded, as he took a sip, his eyes widening, "This is... caramel?"
"Yup, your eyes' color reminded me of it. And how is it?" Asked an excited Marui, only to blink in shock.
Ryoma smiled.
"It's acceptable." With that he took another sip.
Then Marui grinned once again, "I'm happy to hear that."
Akaya inhaled, once he heard the words Yanagi muttered.
Fuji Syuusuke, Seigaku's popular tensai was once a member of Rikkaidai?
Impossible.
Shouldn't have Akaya known of this then? But... But then again, he still didn't know a lot about the Rikkai members he admired so much and maybe, maybe it was time to try and find out.
And what did the tensai mean with they took him away and they would take Echizen as well?
"Akaya, I know you're here."
The boy flinched, "Sorry, Y-Yanagi-senpai." He bowed, stumbling a bit, before he ran away.
"You won again."
"Of course," Yukimura smiled, his eyes leaving the chess board to look at his companion, "I win always after all."
And because of this I will win our game, Ryoma-kun.
"Hm, why did you accept the position, Ryoma?"
"Because it would mean that I get life-threatening missions."
"And you want that," Yukimura glanced at Ryoma, "despite that you don't possess an ability?"
The boy's smirk was answer enough.
Preview:
"Why are you even here?"
Fuji looked up to see Niou, who scoffed at the sight of him. Ah, so he was still mad.
"Is it because of that boy? Echizen something?"
At the mention of Ryoma Fuji looked away. He still didn't apologize...
"Just met him. He was annoying, so I punched him."
