So far, no one has figured out who the mystery person is...
Should I give out hints?
Okay...
Hint 1:... You'll have to read this chapter first before I give out the hint!
(I'm such a tease!)
Disclaimer: I dont own pokémon...
-Isabelle's POV-
I grunted as a gust of wind blew onto my hair, pushing it back to my face.
Right now, I am in an isolated place, in the middle of the night.
I know, I know.
It's very dangerous so why the heck did I sneak out of the dormitory?
Well, one thing is that I need to clear my head from everything that had occurred to me. I mean, Logan has revealed his abilities although in a discreet way that even May couldn't pin point but she did pinpoint it!
I sighed.
But before I could even relax myself, I heard it.
I heard the rustles of leaves and the breaking of twigs.
If someone is trying to sneak up on me, they weren't doing a very good job! Can't they at least make it harder?
"What on earth are you doing out here in the middle of the night, freak?"
I jumped back to back flip the person who had startled me.
My eyes widened when I saw the familiar mop of green.
Only two persons had green hair in our school.
Me... And Drew.
Oops?
He groaned as he tried to sit up. "What the heck was that for, idiot?" He asked as he glared at me. "I have you know that you don't have the rights to back flip me... Or touch me for that matter." He said.
I sighed. "Why on earth would you sneak up on me like that?" I shot back at him.
It's not my fault that he decided to sneak up on me. Nor my fault for having such quick reflexes.
"I wasn't planning to. Nor do I have plans on talking with a walking disaster. I'm out." He said as he went back where he had been.
I heard him mumbling about 'stupid girl', 'dangerous', 'trying to keep from disaster'.
I almost froze on the spot.
Had Drew woke up just to follow me? To keep me safe?
I hugged my arms and keep the smile from creeping upon my face. I know Drew had come just for checking up on me. I could feel his aura.
And I also know that he is still out there.
I was about to ignore him when I felt that strange creeps.
No...
I ran towards the place where Drew was hidden and grabbed his hand.
"What the? Didn't I tell you not to-"
"Just shut up and run." I said with great urgency, hoping that would actually shut him up and let me do the running.
After a few minutes, I heard the rustles again. I know that it wasn't Drew who did that awhile ago.
It's someone- or should I say, something else.
"What's going on?" Drew asked.
I groaned. Why did I must have this kind of company?
"They're after us." I explained. "So whatever happens, just please. Let me handle it." I said.
He scoffed. " Let you handle stuff?" He mocked. "Oh sure. Let the weak girl handle everything. Afterall, it's not like I don't value my existence!" He almost shouted, sarcastically.
I ignored him and shoved him in the bush.
"Who's after us anyway?" He shouted.
I glance around only to see shadows with malicious faces.
My eyes widened. It can't be.
Professor said that they are too weakened to be summoned upon.
"Isabelle?"
If we weren't in a serious situation, I would have jumped up and down and hugged him for muttering my name. But this isn't the time.
"Shadows." I mumbled.
Running won't solve anything.
And since the guardian who possessed the ability to run at the speed of light hasn't used his ability yet, I am stuck at running in a moderate speed.
The only abilities I've gotten so far were mine, May's, and...
"Logan!" I gleefully shouted.
"Last time I checked, Logan wasn't here to help us you know!" Drew said in a sarcastic tone.
I sighed.
Powers of Illusion.
In order to create such illusion, you have to put yourself in the situation in demand...
Well, I'm in luck. This is a situation, and right now, I am demanding it.
Illusion can only be conjured by two guardians. Both protect Johto region.
To control illusion, the conjurer has to start believing it in order to work perfectly in defense and offense.
I took a deep breath. Let's do this.
My necklace had glowed green, the same time Drew's necklace lit up.
Different lights shown upon where I stood and directed it slowly to the shadows.
See the world in the eyes of danger, see it from another perspective.
Destroy them. Kill them all.
Let the Darkness rise and reign these lands again!
No...
Kill that guardian. Kill her.
Better yet, let her kill herself.
I looked around only to see a rock.
I can do this. I could just kill myself and get this ordeal done. No more bullying, no more hiding, no more complications.
And when I die, no one will grieve. No one will notice.
They will move on and I will be forgotten.
As always.
I picked up the rock.
"Isabelle what on earth are you doing?" A distant voice asked me.
It's as if... It's from another world. A mystery.
Kill yourself, guardian. And let us kill the boy who made your life harder than it's suppose to be.
Leave his fate into our hands and you shall be spared.
But be warned. Once the conjurer had believed the illusions he/ she had created, a great danger will rise. A risk that is willing to take, and a life that must perish.
Lose track of reality and the conjurer... Will die!
Images were swirling inside my head. I... Couldn't take it anymore!
Before I could even do anything, blackness consumed me.
-Drew's POV-
I had followed that loser into the clearing of the school.
Well, I just had to! Who in their right mind would go into the clearing at 12:00 in the morning? Definitely, that girl.
She hadn't even considered going to the library or the gardens or some place where normal people would go when they couldn't fall asleep.
So when Isabelle had back flipped me, that's where I flipped.
This girl is really weird...yet I had the urge to stand up and protect her from harm.
It's not like she's my dead sister, right?
"Shadows." She mumbled.
What on earth is she trying to do? Does she still believe in the boogeyman?
That stuff is for kids!
And as you see, I am nit just freaking out because of the turn of events, but I am also freaking out for her.
But Drew Hayden doesn't freak out.
Especially when his necklace is starting to glow.
I looked around for the green haired teenage weird girl, only to have her passed out.
No.
I ignored my conscience's pleas to stay in the bushes like a normal person would do and stepped up to Isabelle.
"You are such an idiot." I turned around only to see the shadows and for the first time in forever- I was wrong about what I thought of them. She's right, they're dangerous.
(Don't tell Isabelle I said that!)
They readied themselves to attack and that only made me angrier.
"Enough of this nonsense!" I told them, lights were getting stronger and stronger. "You want a piece of me? I'll give you a piece of me!"
They lunged at me but they had just phased through me while I got a hold of their tails, strength is pouring out on me.
"This is for what you've done to Isabelle." I mumbled as my grip tightened until they had vanished.
The lights died and so is our necklaces' lights.
The sun is almost rising but wasn't visible yet so I think, we are in trouble... Again.
She grunted as she woke up and stared at me.
"Thanks for passing out on me." I told her, my tone is dripping with sarcasm but in all honesty, I was furious for making me worry for her.
(Again, don't tell her I said that.)
I could tell that her mond is working overdrive and I don't even know how on earth did I do that.
I mean, grab the shadows until they disappear? That is by far the most ridiculous thing I've ever done!
"Sorry."
I was so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't heard her apologize to me.
Wait, apologize?
I turned back to her only to see her breathing heavily.
I ignored it and looked at her, casting my smug form on her.
"Now this is a scandal! The ice loser is now saying sorry to the Prince of Hearthrobs?" I told her.
She narrowed her eyes at me. "Just accept it." She said through gritted teeth before walking out on me.
"I know that you had saved my life so it's only appropriate to apologize." she said.
Even at distance, I can still hear her voice... In my head.
"And for the record..." She trailed off. I can imagine her smirking. What's worse is that I could imagine her almost looking like me when in reality, she isn't anything like me! (That one is a lie but still. I'm handsome, she's not.)
"I can hear your thoughts."
I swear, that girl would be the death of me.
Nothing amuses me like an old unknown sibling relationship!
Since most of my readers almost know what is the relationship between Isabelle and Drew, I decided to use it for my advantage! However, for those who are new here then it's okay! Nothing like a good ole' spoilers!
Did I miss anything?
Oh yeah, the hint!
So hint 1: The mystery person is... A GIRL!
Bwahaha! Okay so that's all you've got for today.
Another thing to guess...
What do you think is Drew's power?
Dun. Dun. Dun.
There you have it! Two mysteries to solve!
If you guys have any questions, ask me anything! I'll be able to answer it... (Except if you are trying to coax me into telling you who the heck is the mystery person or what is Drew's power)
~Ruefully yours...
