The Advent91: It's been awhile but the chapter is finally done and ready to go. All I can say is I hope you like it. Have a "nice" read!
VECTOR was now at the location near the intersection turn of Raccoon Street from Warren Street standing upon what looked to be a large rectangular transport of an eighteen wheel truck, and it was one that was tipped over on its side near the left side of the street. VECTOR was in fact within at this very moment in his Stealth looking transparent looking upon the minimal zombie infested streets at the moment, and if you were thinking that he was wasting time standing up here he was actually looking for any clues left behind by Naruto. If Naruto did leave something behind or mistakenly dropped something he can predict a direction the boy went and pursue after him, and he preferred finding clues from a high point of view.
"Where are you going?" VECTOR wonders aloud.
He reached his hand up to where his ear was located contacting the rest of Wolfpack.
"This is VECTOR to Wolfmother come in?"
"This is LUPO, what do you have to report?"
"Had a little run in with the target…"
"Do you have him?"
"I don't but the target is safe for now."
"What do you mean safe for now and what do you mean you don't have him?! What happened, VECTOR?"
"It was either Nine dead or taking care of that B.O.W. that was chasing after him."
"You killed it?"
"Should be lying dead near the intersection of Fuston and Warren Street north of City Hall."
"Where are you?"
"I am located near the intersection of Raccoon and Warren Street."
"This is SPECTRE, I am nearing your location now VECTOR."
"Right…"
"However I don't see any sign of the creature here?"
"What?"
"Are you sure it was dead?"
"I shot it in the HEAD!"
"Seems that not even a head shot can take it down then, huh?" SPETRE asked.
"I guess not." VECTOR said.
He brought down his Stealth functions as SPECTRE jogged toward his location on the street coming to a stop looking up to VECTOR.
"That thing is after the target and if it gets to him and kills him in the process then we will never get out of Raccoon City."
"What happened, VECTOR?"
"Were you not listening moments ago?"
"Yes, you saved him and bought him time to escape the creature that is still running about god knows where."
"Would you rather us come to Umbrella empty handed then?"
"I never said your decision in giving the boy time to escape was the wrong one."
SPECTRE looked off to his right seeing a zombie walking his direction and so he simply aimed his sniper rifle without looking through the scope firing off a single shot that blows up the zombie's head.
"Tell that to LUPO," VECTOR said as he continued to search for any sign of a clue. "She is not going to like that Nine got away again and especially not Command."
"Where do you think Nine went?"
"Not too sure but I am predicting somewhere east of here within the city. He may be heading toward the park but going someplace like that is not the smartest idea but he doesn't know that. There is also the Raccoon City College…maybe he would go there to find help from others but then again I could be wrong about that. I am pretty sure he is not going to put himself in a situation like back at the Raccoon City High School…"
"VECTOR, what happened?" LUPO demanded.
Both VECTOR and SPECTRE look off to the direction of the approaching LUPO, FOUR EYES, and BERTHA in a jog until coming to a stop looking up to the masked man that not even they themselves knew what his face looked like.
"That thing we fought off not too long ago that emerged from the sewers was after the target so I distracted it giving him enough time to get away."
"YOU WHAT?!"
"It was either that or us remaining in this hell hole. Which would you have preferred?"
"This is bullshit!" LUPO said turning away.
"Every time we get close and every time we are that much closer to getting our extraction for some reason or somehow the boy keeps getting away from us?"
"So where did he go?" BETHA asked.
"East…" VECTOR simply answered.
"Wolfpack, this is Command, come in?" U.S.S. Command contacted.
"This is Wolfpack we read you." LUPO responded.
"Report your progress."
"Command, we may have the target cornered. He is heading east into the city." VECTOR said.
"You haven't captured him yet?"
"Not yet but if we deploy reinforcements within the east portion of the city it will not only be that much more difficult for the target to escape us but chances of capture are high and besides it is not easy chasing this brat through a city of infested zombies and deployed B.O.W.'s. In fact we ran into that thing again. It was tracking the target possibly to kill him but VECTOR reports he killed it."
"SPECTRE tells me he saw no body." VECTOR said.
"It's alive then?" LUPO asked.
"Afraid so…" SPECTRE confirmed having not seen the body of the Lady Licker.
"This is not good for you or the corporation Wolfpack if that creature kills Nine then not only will you not get your extraction but Umbrella will lose a valuable specimen." U.S.S. Command said.
"So what do we do then? Do we continue pursuit of the target or perhaps do we hunt down that creature and take it out of the picture somehow?" FOUR EYES asked. "Nine isn't going anywhere."
"Do we have any remaining U.S.S. forces within the city?" LUPO asked.
"You're the only one, Wolfpack."
"What about U.B.C.S., we can use them." BERTHA said.
"You are suggesting using the U.B.C.S. to track the subject while you track and kill the creature?"
"More like the other way around." LUPO said.
"I see…Very well Wolfpack we will fulfill your request. U.B.C.S. forces will be deployed within the city focusing within the eastern part of the city-," Wolfpack began walking away in the same direction together with VECTOR simply walking to the edge leaping off and landing upon the street to joining his comrades now walking side by side with them, and toward a horde of zombies that turn their direction. "-and they will search and destroy the creature." Wolfpack all aim their weapons upon the zombies that start walking their way with some Crimson Heads running toward them. "Find SUBJECT 9."
"Roger that command." LUPO said.
The loud echoes of gunshots are heard aloud in the airs of Raccoon City.
Naruto barely crosses over Raccoon Street once again now on Ivy Street that much closer to French Street and his goal being the Arcade, but he came to a stop looking over his shoulder hearing the gunshots that were from Wolfpack with a strong feeling telling him so. Naruto was now upon the sidewalk of Ivy Street but looking ahead he can see cars crashed together blocking the road as well as what looked to be a bus on the other side tipped over, a police care within the pile still blaring it lights with an occasional single second of the alarm going off. Naruto knew he can just go right over it because for one it did not look that hard unlike video games that he played when all that was blocking entry into an area was something so easy to go over yet you couldn't do, only in the world of video games. Naruto lightly jogged over to the area climbing up one care and then from standing upon the roof of that car leaps up grasping the edge of the tipped over bus above him pulling himself up, and when he did he was crouched looking upon the blocked off street seeing a great number of zombies walking about. From here he looked down to his right down French Street seeing the Arcade but it was near the very end of the street and these numbers were too much. Now Naruto may have benefits with him being infected by a viral strain but just because he was somewhat super human does not mean that he was unbeatable or in this case uneatable.
In a survival horror situation when you see something like this being greatly outnumbered you will either do the following…
Be an idiot and try to take on all the numbers with some miracle that you will make it unless you had the assistance of friends and allies and were well armed. For this instance like Wolfpack or Naruto but it is questionable if he would even be able to handle this many numbers by himself.
Do the smart thing and find a way around. Duh!
Thankfully for our hero, Naruto is not an idiot as he was going to take the B course and find a way around. If you don't do this then you are a fucking idiot and don't know how to survive. The best part was since Naruto was upon a high point looking to his upper right he can see that he was high enough to leap up to an open window into the building to his right. Naruto leaped up to the open window grasping onto its ledge to climbing up and into a living room but as soon as he did a man and woman that was inside this very room turn to the crouched Naruto's direction, with the man having a shotgun aimed at him.
"Put your hands up!" The man demanded with Naruto just staring up at him with wide eyes seeing a shotgun in front of his face. "NOW!"
Naruto slowly brought his hands up while at the same time standing tall.
"Who are you shithead?"
"Look pal I am just trying survive here. I am NOT one of those things. So why don't we just put the gun down and-,"
"Fuck you!"
"Josh, stop he's just a child!"
"Don't you see that he can be one of those things Marie?"
"Yeah and apparently we are able to climb and talk while being smart enough to listen to a single command such as put your hands in the air when we see a shotgun in front of our faces. Oh yeah I am definitely one of them…"
Naruto dropped his hands.
"Put your hands back up!"
"No," Naruto said shaking his head left and right once getting a confused look from Josh.
"But I have shotgun?" Josh said as he looked down at his weapon.
"I don't care."
Naruto takes advantage snatching his hands forward pulling the shotgun away twirling it around to him now aiming the shotgun at Josh's face that had his hands up in the air.
"If you have the gun pointed at someone you better be ready to pull the trigger." Naruto then threw the gun back into the man's arms to quickly pulling out aiming his Samurai Edge. "Be thankful that I don't shoot you where you stand if you weren't one of those things."
Naruto then made his way to the door while keeping his aim upon Josh and as he approached the locked door exiting the room but as he did Marie whispered to him…
"Don't their out there!"
Naruto gently placed his back against the door while keeping his aim upon Josh and angled his head to press his left ear against the door while keeping his eyes upon Josh, and what he hears on the other side is soft multiple moans of zombies slowly moving about at a really slow pace.
"There has to be another way around this somehow?"
"That or you can just go out the window you came through."
Naruto gave Josh that ugly sort of look basically telling him to get the hell out jumping back down into those zombie infested streets. He was not going to do that but walking back over to the window he came through while keeping his aim on Josh he looked back out upon the streets seeing zombie's slowly coming into the area. Looks like he was stuck but he knew that he couldn't afford to stay stuck in this room with these two. He looked back around the room and spotted something of interest and it was a pair of pick axes one would use for mountain climbing, and they could be of use to him. He made his way over to them silently picking them up and decided that he was going to take them since they apparently had no use for them whatsoever, and he had an idea how to get out of this current situation.
Naruto made his way back to the very windows he entered through putting his gun away at the same time now equipping the pick axes.
"What are you doing?" Josh asked.
"Leaving."
Naruto steps his foot out upon the window ledge once again looking down upon the now infested zombie street, and hammers his right pick axe into the building wall to hammering his left one higher. He now began to climb up the side of the building wall leaving behind both Josh and Marie who look out the window watching Naruto continue to climb up.
"Hold it!"
Naruto keeps his grasp around the right pick axe still nailed into the brick walls as he looks down over his left shoulder down, and he was right now looking down toward the aimed barrel of Josh's shotgun.
"Just where do you think you're going?"
"Are you going to pull the trigger?" Naruto asked as he looked down upon Josh.
Suddenly the couple's room door is broken down by a Crimson Head followed by other zombies hoarding within the room attracting the attention of Josh and Marie. Naruto could only watch and listen to loud gunshots and screams of Marie to sighting Josh leaning upon the window ledge with the Crimson Head feasting upon his neck. Naruto could only close his eyes looking away from the scene as he listened to the zombies feeding upon the two, but he continued his climb up to the roof of the building.
Meanwhile in a different location in the city mainly within the closed and sealed off Arcade, Kushina was pacing back and forth obviously worried sick for her son who was still out there. Walking out from around a pair of set up arcade games was Kurama…
"Kushina?"
"I can't take it anymore I'm going out there!"
Kurama galloped over blocking her path.
"No, Kushina, you know what is out there."
"I know what is out there but Naruto-,"
"Is fine, Kushina, he will be ok."
"How are you so sure? How do you know that he hasn't been taken by those bastards or is in trouble with those monsters out there?"
"You're son managed to survive this long all on his own against all odds. He has come across the very monsters you would believe to only exist in your nightmares, and he fought through it all rescuing you, and me. Naruto will arrive. I know that you are scared for him but you need to believe in him he needs our support."
Kushina hangs her head.
"I already lost Minato…I don't want to lose Naruto."
"You won't." Kurama said to sitting down.
"Kurama, how are you so calm?"
"Calm?"
"Yes?"
"Kushina, I am scared as much as you are right now just as Naruto is right now."
"I didn't think you were afraid of anything. Ever since you were a little pup you have always been by Naruto's side playing and protecting him. Why I even remember when that one Inazuka boy started to pick on Naruto and right when he pushed him there you came running along making his backside your chew toy." Kushina recalled with a chuckle following afterwards.
"He had it coming."
"I was afraid that his mother was going to be so mad that she was going to demand you be put down but I was quite surprised when she said what comes around goes around."
"He didn't pick on Naruto since."
"Then shortly after that day…the attack. My god was Umbrella really behind the entire thing?"
"I don't know but the one that calls himself VECTOR says so."
"That one really seems to have it out for Naruto don't you think?"
"He does?"
"Did Naruto wrong him in some way?"
"I doubt it."
"Then why is he so desperate to catch Naruto?"
"There is more to that man then meets the eye but one thing is for sure."
"What?"
"Naruto is going to have to face him sooner or later and only one of them will be left standing."
"If and whenever that time comes then we will both be there with him."
"Yes we will."
Naruto had reached the rooftop of the building he was climbing upon with the use of the pick axes but before he pulls himself up and over he lets himself hang as he hears the snarling of a zombie above, and it reveals itself as it walks to the ledge Naruto was hanging from looking out in the distance not seeing or hearing Naruto just below. Too bad it didn't see the pick axe Naruto swung up and stabs into its chest before pulling back throwing it up and over the ledge falling to street level going splat as Naruto looked over his right shoulder smirking before climbing upon the ledge of the rooftop. It was all clear as Naruto was upon one knee atop this roofs ledge seeing no zombie or B.O.W. in sight so he took to checking his inventory. For his rifle he only had two rounds of magazine left, four rounds for his MK and two left for his Samurai Edge so he was going to have to use what he had left wisely until he came by more ammo, but at least he still had his blades as well as his supernatural abilities.
"Damn it all…" Naruto cursed as he stepped off the ledge.
From where he was at he was not that far away from the Arcade but still had some ways to go before reaching it. Now what route was he going to take? Was he obviously not going to go downstairs through the building he climbed his way up but for sure by now it was infested with zombies? He jogged his way to the other side looking over to the next building and he could just tell by looking at the gap that there was no way he was going to make the jump, but then he noticed that open window that looked to be four floors down. Looking around there did not look to be a way for him to get down there by any safe path or means. The only option that came to his head was to jump DOWN for it and to be completely honest with himself he didn't want to go doing that again.
However he may have no choice but to risk the jump as he heard door assessing to the stairs down through the building from the roof being rammed against. Naruto was reaching for his MK but the door is tacked down by a group of CRIMSON HEADS that when they set their sights upon Naruto they immediately rush him, but Naruto was quick enough to pull out both his pistols firing careful shots in their heads, bodies of Crimson Heads falling down one by one. His pistols finally went CHINK signaling they were empty making him inwardly curse as he looked over his shoulder upon the open window across and below. He had no choice. Naruto quickly holsters his guns before quickly turning around removing his pick axes, leaping upon the ledge, and jumps off falling with some Crimson Heads falling over the ledge as well to ground level. Naruto in the meantime falls rearing his right pick axe back and with a roar hammers it upon a ledge going around the floor of the building now swinging back and forth before hooking his left pick axe upon the ledge pulling himself up grunting.
Naruto was careful pulling climbing upon the ledge carefully turning himself around with his back against the wall and began shimmering his way to the open window, and when he reached it he did not go inside but instead he takes a peek inside with an axe at the ready. It was a good thing that he was ready because a zombie came lunging at him evading its grab just in time before swinging the axe down through the back of its skull, and pulling him out through the window letting the surely dead zombie fall into the alley below.
"Holy shit that scared me…" He said as he climbed his way inside the room.
The room he climbed inside was a bathroom and when he looks to his right he looks away with closed eyes at what he saw.
"Jesus," Naruto said looking back out of the corner of his right eye, and it was a look with sorrow in his eyes. "How could have…?"
Within the tub were three carcasses and they looked like they were all burnt to a crisp with one being clearly an adult male, the other female, but it was the last one that was disturbing to Naruto seeing that it was the size of a small child. Naruto closed his eyes again refusing to look upon the sight as he just stood there.
"Oh my god...How could they go through with this?"
He opened his eyes slowly looking back upon the gruesome scene. He had already seen plenty of death as well as having brought it upon others, the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service and the Umbrella Security Service, and not to mention his own father. Clearly seeing these dead individuals indicated that there were survivors of course within the city having just left two of them. That woman's boyfriend willing to kill him knowing full well he was not turned as well as not wanting to let him go peacefully, and now seeing this scene showing that this couple committed suicide along with their daughter or son. That is when Naruto noticed how the child sized carcass looked to be forcefully held against the male body who had his mouth open as if screaming aloud. Then looking closer within the tube Naruto noticed the burnt handgun and when he took a step closer his foot made something cling along the floor, and when he looked down he saw it was bullet casing, and few matches scattered about.
"A single bullet was fired." Naruto told himself as he looked upon the room not sighting a bullet hole. "Where did it impact?"
He looked back upon the scene and then took notice how the woman sitting upon the other end of the tube had her head leaned back, and with closer inspection Naruto sighted the hole within her forehead.
"You son of a bitch," Naruto said turning his sight upon the dead male's corpse. "He forced them. The girl or boy clearly was trying to break free but the man refused to let him or her go. As for the gun it was clear that he held them at gun point or more like his girlfriend or wife. She most likely tried to stop him but he shot her and then lit them on fire as he and his child burned alive."
With everything that has happened to the city over the course of the week Naruto concluded what was happening to the few remainders of Raccoon City society…
"They've gone insane."
He walked away from the scene heading to the bathroom door slowly parting it open since it was open by just a little. The creaking the door made was not welcoming to Naruto because he did not want to make any noise to attract anything to him. He now found himself in a living room proceeding toward the front door. Grabbing the knob and slowly as well as quietly as he could he parted the door open to peeking his head out looking down the dark halls to his left and right he saw not an undead, Bio Organic Weapon, U.B.C.S., or U.S.S. in sight. As much as it sounded unwise he had no choice but to return to ground level but he would play it smart looking for a back door leading into an alley. He precedes going down the hall to his left walking in a slow pace to make less noise as possible in the possibility of any zombies being behind any door. Think about it next thing you know a group of zombies coming crashing through a door all because of one creek. It's not that Naruto did not have the weapons or skill to defend himself it's just that he was being cautious and smart, and would rather much like to preserve ammo as much as he could.
That's when Naruto heard a loud noise from behind causing him to jolt his vision looking over his left shoulder with wide eyes. He was wondering what had made that loud noise assuming it to be a zombie but then heard what sounded like a pair of footsteps becoming louder and louder closing in on his position, and he then assumed that it must be Wolf Pack as he quickly ran to the end of the hall he was proceeding down to rounding around back against the wall peeking around the corner down the hall he just came. That is when he saw the door at the very end of the hall echo aloud accompanied by a grunt that sounded human that was attempting to kick the looked door down, and the while Naruto reaching for his rifle preparing for a gunfight. The door is knocked down off its hinges landing upon the floor and entering into the hall was a pair of five armed men but to Naruto's surprise they were not of Umbrella affiliation.
In fact they looked to be normal people armed with weapons wearing gas masks on their faces and only three of them were armed with automatics, and the rest were armed with melee type weapons with one holding a machete and an axe.
"Survivors…" Naruto thought.
"Are you sure you saw something from down there?" Survivor 1 asked.
"I am pretty fucking sure what I saw." Survivor 2 said.
"What exactly did you see?" Survivor 3 asked sounding like a woman.
"I saw some guy going through a window entering within this floor and I swear to you that he was armed to the teeth. Rifle, knife, pistol, hell he even had a god damn sword on his back! Think of how much that would aid our survival with all that gear he has? And don't tell me that you four didn't hear those gunshots moments ago."
"So then what do we do the usually we've been doing so far? Find the poor bastard, take him out, and take his gear?" Survivor 4 asked.
"What do you think?" Survivor 1 said.
"Pretty stupid question you asked there man." Survivor 5 said to 4.
"Fuck you."
"Bandits…" Naruto thought.
"Think he is still around up here somewhere?" Bandit 2 asked.
It was then Naruto had made a mistake as he foot slipped pushing a bottle rolling across the floor clanking against the wall opposite of him causing him to curse under his breath, and at the same time the rest of the bandits look toward his general direction.
"Oh yes he is...Find him and kill him. One of you stays here at the door. This is the only exit off this floor."
"You got it." Bandit 3 said being one of the three armed with a rifle.
"The rest of you follow me." Bandit 1 said as he aimed his rifle with Bandit's 2, 4, and 5 following close behind.
Naruto knew he had to move immediately and somehow get past that bandit guarding the only exit off this floor because since the power was out throughout the entire city elevators were out of the question. He slowly slid himself up against the wall while grabbing both pick axes armed within both hands and moved away as quiet as if he were a vampire, and with the bandit's seconds before reaching his position. Naruto would not have time to reach the end of the hallway he was going down so he reached for the closest door knob turning it, to his luck being unlocked, and proceeds inside to lightly closing it behind him just before the bandits round the corner he was hiding behind.
"He is close by." Bandit 1 said.
In the current room Naruto was in he was looking around for some kind of exit of any kind with not a single one present so it looked like he was trapped. What was he supposed to do now kill them? As soon as that thought crossed his mind he did not want to because they were not of Umbrella only trying to survive, but then there was the whole killing him scenario taking his gear without the thought of asking for his aid, and their intentions are very clear too. He did not want to kill them but this was survival of the fittest out here within this hell. It was to kill or to be killed so he made his decision almost immediately but was brought out of his train of thought when the door was pushed open rather loudly!
It was Bandit 4 that entered the room jogging in with an axe in hand looking around and where was Naruto? He was currently hidden behind a vertical mirror just standing behind it remaining as quiet as possible not even taking a breath through the nostrils of his nose. It was then that Naruto decided to take a peek but the thing was he did not want to risk being sighted by someone that was so close. He slowly reached down for his blade taking it out slowly to bringing it to stick out from behind his cover and decided to use the reflection of what the blade cast, and as he angled it he caught sight of the Bandit armed with nothing but an axe moving about the room. Since the man was armed with an axe, Naruto was pretty sure he can take him he just had to wait for the right opportunity to strike.
Naruto has survived against the horrid of monsters one would not want to see and has even dealt with the forces of Umbrella, and even fought the greatest Bio Organic Weapon of the corporation being the Nemesis. If Naruto was able to survive against all of that then surely he should against this. It was now just how Naruto was going to strike and how he was going to take him down without the others being alerted, and when taking sight of an open window not far from his and the bandits position he got a cruel idea. He felt sorry for the poor bastard…
Bandit 4 made one more round to look about the apartment building he was in for some reason bringing his attention focused on the bathroom, but he should have focused his attention in what quietly but quickly closed in on him from behind the mirror armed with his knife. It was then that Bandit 4's senses told him to turn around only when he did he had his throat slashed as a teenager slashed his knife up to his upper right with blood seeping off it to just angrily looking him in the eyes…and with cold eyes. Bandit 4 drops his axe to which Naruto caught with his other free hand to keep from making any noise as he brought his hands up to stop the blood from pouring gasping for air taking steps away from the boy. Naruto gently laid the axe down upon the floor to walking sheathing his knife and walking toward the turned back of the bandit who ironically was heading in the direction of the open window, and before the bandit knew it the back of his shirt was grasped by Naruto who forced him forward to throwing him OUT THE WINDOW! Soon a sound was heard from outside seconds later…
SPLAT!
If one were to look out the window Naruto just threw him out of they would see the body of the bandit flat on the ground front first with a pool of blood around his form, and total of three zombies slowly making their way toward the body. That was one down and four more of them to go. Naruto quickly moved toward the door taking a peek back out into the hall to his left and right seeing not another bandit in his field of vision, and he took the opportunity to move. He exited into the hall quickly and quietly as he can moving down the hall to his right passing some other closed off room doors, but he had to quickly roll to his left now crouched with his back behind a small piece of furniture that was within the hall. The bandit at the end of the hall which was actually Bandit 5 being the one armed with the machete, and because of how far he was from Naruto's position he didn't take notice of Naruto hiding behind his cover. It was either that or Naruto just got lucky as the bandit went back down his original direction to search another hall, and Naruto immediately takes the opportunity moving from around his cover down the hall crouched.
Naruto came to a stop putting his back to the corner taking a peek taking sight of the turned back of the fifth bandit of the group. It was then that the fifth bandit Naruto was currently creeping up toward slowly was called out to by the leader of the group being Bandit 1…
"Did you find him yet?" Bandit 1 asked aloud referring to Naruto.
"Still looking!"
"Where the fuck is Joseph?"
Naruto slowly stands up now right behind the fifth bandit slowly reaching his right hand toward the hilt of the machete that was being held within the bandit's right hand…
"You want me to find him?"
"Do so!"
"You got-," The fifth bandit's senses told him behind you.
He quickly turned but Naruto was clearly faster as instead of quickly snatching the machete out of his grasp he punches the bandits across his face with his left fist, and with that one second opened window was when Naruto reached his hands for the machete pulling it out of the bandit's grasp to swinging and slashing the bandits throat. Naruto did not finish there as the stubborn bandit looked to reach down for a blade so Naruto swings the blade down upon the top of the bandit's skull making him freeze, and Naruto releasing the blade letting the corpse hit the floor. However there was one problem, Naruto did not realize that he was standing in the middle of the open hall to his right totally exposed, and that is when footsteps from the very end rapidly approached looking down his direction taking sight of Naruto.
Bandit 1 having heard the thump nearby quickly raced down to his left and looked down one of the hallways of doors, and in the distance he took sight of a shadowed figure who just took out Bandit 5 who's killer turned his gaze his direction realizing he was spotted. The leader of the group of bandits howled aloud in anger aiming his rifle letting lose bullets down toward the shadowed figure…
"MOTHER FUCKEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
Naruto raced down the hall that was before him evading the bullets that flew past him and immediately draws his sword while doing so. It was two down with three of them to go…and they were armed with firearms.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
Bandit 1 raced down the hall to the murdered ally taking a knee next to his seeing the machete stabbed within his skull…
"What the fuck's going on?!" Bandit 2 asked aloud from within a different area of the floor.
"Thomas, the little fucker got Mark!"
"What do you mean got Mark?!" The revealed Thomas asked aloud a little nervous now.
"He's dead!"
"Are you serious?!"
"Where the fuck is Jose-," It was then Bandit 1 realized "YOU KILLED JOSHEPH TOO DIDN'T YOU?!" He yelled aloud in anger to Naruto who was somewhere waiting to strike.
"He got Joseph too?!" Thomas asked aloud.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP AND FIND AND KILL THE LITTLE FUCK!" Bandit 1 yelled aloud. "Sam, don't you leave your position he would have to go past you!"
"Ok!" The revealed Sam said aloud being Bandit 3 who was also on edge.
"You think you can hide forever?!" Bandit 1 asked aloud as he reloads his gun as the empty clip hits the floor with a thump. "I'll find you!"
The bandit known as Thomas was slowly stalking down the hallway of opened doors aiming down his rifle searching down every door, and even quickly turning around just in case obviously on edge. Whoever this guy was he beginning to think that they should have just left him be and not pursue him because within the short time he knew both Joseph and Mark those two were tough, no firearm needed seeing how long they survived without one. Thomas then heard something turning to his left looking down another hall of doors upon this floor and slowly approached down it, and then he hears what he thought was a knock to his right now aiming his weapon toward a closed door. He just stood there aiming his rifle deciding against shooting it up or even going inside because if the person they were looking for was in there he wasn't going in there by himself. Thomas took two more steps back while still aiming down his rifle…
"Rain!" Thomas called out to Bandit 1 revealing his name aloud. "I think I got him!"
It was not long Thomas saw Rain running from around the corner to his right coming to a stop beside him aiming his rifle upon the door as well.
"He's there?"
"I heard something inside. It sounded like a knock?"
Suddenly a knock was heard but more like a loud single one causing them to jump back in fright pulling back the triggers of their rifles firing off bullets through the wooden door. When the stop firing it was quite until the door came falling forward with a body following landing before them, but it wasn't who they were looking for. It was just a zombie…
"You stupid ass we wasted near a whole damn clip on one of those fucking things, and just ONE!" Rain said in anger.
"We should just leave, Rain." Thomas said suddenly causing Rain to give him that look.
"What did you just say?"
"This guy has already taken two of us out without us even knowing. We should just call it quits, leave him along, and get the hell out of here before he gets us too."
Rain suddenly grabs the front of Thomas's collar bringing him closer to his gas mask covered face.
"We are NOT leaving. Not until I have that fucks head on a pike!" Rain then pushed Thomas back as he walks backwards away. "Next time you hear something you grow a pair and LOOK!"
"We should stick together!"
Rain seemed to ignore him as he rounded the corner he came around continuing on his own search for Naruto on the floor.
"Rain!"
Little did Thomas know was that if he just looked over his shoulder he would have seen the shadowed figure of the person they were looking for creep across. This cause Thomas to suddenly turn around aiming his rifle with trembling hands backing away…
"You stay away from me…"
Thomas cautiously moves forward and as he did he heard the sound of a door creeping open slightly ahead of him. When reaching the door he cautiously brought a hand forward parting the door open as it gave off a creak and boy doesn't everybody like that happening to them huh. He was inside of an apartment's living room and as he cautiously steps deeper into the room the front door he parted open suddenly creaks again causing him to freeze. Over his shoulder the door is pushed gently by none other than Naruto who was standing behind the door the entire time as the door lightly gives off a click sound signaling it closed without making much noise. Naruto just stood there stares at Thomas's turned back who was beginning to shake wondering what was behind him in the room with Naruto meanwhile holding one of his pick axes in one hand.
If you looked into Naruto's eyes you would think they were empty but you can see the conflict in his eyes. He did not want to kill but he had no choice. They were targeting him after his gear and he needed this to keep himself, Kurama, and his mother alive. He had no problem killing Umbrella forces since they were the ones responsible for all of this and so far was ruining his life that much more with every passing second. Naruto heard the wood below the man's feet cause a creek sound signaling movement and hearing this as well as predicting this guy was going to try turning around to shoot him as quickly as possible he was given a warning by Naruto.
"Don't try it…"
"….What the fuck are you?"
"….I don't know."
Thomas quickly turns with Naruto immediately rearing his pick axe over his right shoulder to throwing it forward and it was a direct hit into Thomas's forehead thus stabbing through the skull into the brain! The body of Thomas was standing for a couple of more second before the corpse falls upon his knees and finally forward upon the floor forming a pool of blood around the head. Naruto slowly walked forward to retrieve his axe and possibly grab some more gear with a single grenade catching his interest and with his hand clasping around the grenade suddenly the door behind him was kicked open!
Naruto looked over his shoulder seeing it was the one known as Rain taking aim to which Naruto curses running off jumping into the kitchen area shielding himself from the rapid gunfire.
"I got you now you little shit!"
"The son of a bitch used him as bait."
Naruto peeked from around the kitchen counter only to duck back as soon as bullets flew chipping away the pieces of tile.
"There is nowhere for you to run."
Naruto looked at the grenade he had in hand and then to the wall ahead of him knowing for sure that a empty hall was on the other side. He had an escape plan so Naruto pulls the pin of the grenade to letting it cook in his hand to then tossing the pin over the counter toward Rain's direction. Rain snatches a free hand forward slashing a shining piece of sliver from the air and when looking what was in the palm of his hand his eyes widen, and even more so when he saw a live grenade tossed from behind the counter toward the kitchen wall.
"Oh shit!"
Rain dives away just an the explosion takes place blowing pieces of tile and wood throughout the room as well as the hall upon the other side. Naruto took advantage running through the hole in the wall as Rain picked himself up yelling in frustration to chasing after Naruto but when emerging out into the hall looking both ways the boy was not in sight. Rain grunts in anger panning his direction left and right turning his form upon opposite directions but upon looking back down to his left he was met face to face with Naruto who yells aloud while swinging his sword to his left! Both Naruto and Rain stood still as Naruto eyed Rain through the eyes of the man's mask as he held his sword out to his left within both hands grasp. Rain's weapon drops from his hands as he slowly reaches a hand up to his neck to which a red line appeared and then blood began to seep down his neck as Naruto closed his eyes before seeing the man's head fall off his shoulders hitting the floor with a thud followed by the rest of his body.
Suddenly a single bullet goes flying over Naruto's shoulder barely making him snap his vision forward seeing the last remaining one of the group. It was the one called Sam being the only woman of the group. She had her weapon aimed upon him with Naruto just standing there looking her eye to eye in silence as he slowly lowers his sword…
"My god…you're just a boy."
Naruto didn't say anything but then he sees Sam begin to lower her weapon. It looks like she decided not to shoot him and Naruto was thankful for that. However that is when Naruto saw a Crimson Head step out of the shadows from behind Sam!
"LOOK OUT!" Naruto warned.
Sam was too late as the Crimson Head bites down upon her neck causing her to scream in pain and horror. Naruto acts face pulling out one of his hand guns taking careful aim firing off a single round spreading the brains of the Crimson Head out the back of its head. The Crimson Head's body falls dead as Sam drops herself sitting against the wall near the doorway exit off this floor.
"Shit…" Naruto cursed silently.
He walks forward slowly as Sam looks at her neck seeing how bad the bite was and that without a doubt her luck had come to an end. She was infected. She looked to Naruto who stood before her with guilt in his eyes…
"I guess this is the end of the road for me…"
Naruto didn't know what to say.
"I have killed in this city already for the sake of survival. I killed other men…grown men and even woman. However I would never think to shooting a boy…You should get out of here but before you do I need you to do something for me?"
Naruto was silent as Sam's eyes began to water as she begged please.
"Yes…?"
"I-I don't want to become one of those things…"
Naruto already knew where this was going and it was bringing his memories back to his father.
"Please…shoot me?"
Naruto was taking in breaths being the kind that you felt yourself about to choke at the same time. Now you would think this shouldn't be a problem to him because he's killed plenty already. Those were only undead and Umbrella forces but this was totally different. She was innocent…just like his dad. His father demanded he shoot him then so as to not hurt his child as well as to not turn. This woman asked for the sake of not turning into one of those creatures. Perhaps it was that terrifying theory that if she turned into one of those things then she would still be alive trapped inside forced to feast upon the living.
"What's your name…?" Sam asked.
"….Naruto."
"Naruto, please fulfill my request. Shoot me…?"
"…..Maybe there is some way…"
"There is no cure to this…Besides I have nothing left to lose now…I can be with my family."
There was that chocking feeling in his throat again. There was a continued silence between the two as Naruto brings up his gun taking aim for her head with Sam closing her eyes giving a small smile.
"Bless you...Naruto."
"For all it's worth...I'm sorry."
