Chapter 11
Andy stormed out of the hospital and walked towards her apartment. Tears streamed down her face and she thought about what happened.
'She said she loved me and didn't mean it. That's just fucking great. I was so stupid to fall in love with her. God damn it, I knew it.' Andy thought to herself. She hailed a cab she wanted to be home in bed and cry until it didn't hurt anymore.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Miranda sat on her bed shaking her head. She was so stupid. Why did she have to say those words? And then to accidentally take them back, she was so incredibly stupid.
She banged her fists against her head. The feelings were true though, so she knew she had to fix it.
She grabbed her cell. "Please pick up...please..." She breathed while she tried to call Andrea but of course the brunette answer. She threw her phone down on the bed and sighed.
Andy arrived home, closed the door and slid down onto the floor.
Andy thought of all that had happened. This simply couldn't be the end. She should have stayed. What if something happened to Miranda and she wasn't there?
She decided to call Miranda. When she got her phone out she saw a missed call from her.
'Maybe this doesn't have to be the end after all.' Andy thought. She pressed the call button.
"Andrea?" Miranda exhaled deeply, her relief evident.
"Miranda, I am so sorry, I shouldn't have left like that and..." Andy faltered.
Miranda cut her off. "Andrea, open your door. Please."
"Wh...What?" Andy got up from the floor and opened the door.
Miranda stood there crying. "I love you so much, darling. Please, forgive me, Andrea."
Andy pulled her inside. Miranda dropped her things and hugged Andy tightly. "Don't cry, sweetheart. God, I love you too. I can't believe you discharged yourself from the hospital."
"I didn't mean to hurt you. I am in love with you and I was just scared..." Miranda whispered hoarsely.
"Shh, it's okay Miranda. I love you and nothing will change that. I'm so glad you are here. Are you feeling okay?"
"I am fine. I am just tired. Could we lie down?" Miranda asked.
"Of course, let's get ready for bed. Can I lie with you and just hold you?" Andy was hesitant.
"I would be very disappointed if you weren't by my side tonight," Miranda said, finally getting some control over her tears and smiling slightly at Andy.
Andy showed Miranda the bedroom and guided her through to the bathroom. While Miranda changed, Andy got some water and changed into her own pyjamas. She slid under the covers and waited for Miranda. Finally, Miranda emerged from the bathroom. "Hi, babe." Andy beamed at her. She was so happy that Miranda had come to her and they were able to spend some time alone together.
Miranda just smiled at her and slid into the bed next to her. She lay on her back and closed her eyes.
Andy propped herself up on her elbow and looked down on her girlfriend. Lifting her arm, she caressed Miranda's cheek and brushed her famous forelock out of her eyes.
Miranda smiled while Andy did what she wanted but didn't open her eyes.
"I am glad you came here, Miranda. I will take good care of you. So...uhm you love me?"
Miranda looked at her and a single tear rolled down her cheek. "I do Andrea. I really love you. So much. I've never felt anything like this. It's so different, you are so different."
Andy leaned down and kissed Miranda softly on her lips. "I can't believe it. I never thought I would ever hear these words out of your mouth." She chuckled at her.
Miranda turned on her side and looked up at her. "So?" Miranda asked and raised an eyebrow.
Andy acted all innocent as if she didn't know what Miranda wanted to hear. "So, what? Oh, of course..." She smirked at Miranda.
Miranda tried to give her the worst glare but it wouldn't work anymore with her love.
"Miranda, I love you more than anything," Andy stated lying down on her side to gaze into the editor's eyes, all the while tracing her face with her fingers. "I am so lucky you are here with me. I want to hold you forever and never let go." She whispered at her.
Miranda closed her eyes and held back more tears. "That sounds absolutely wonderful." She husked. They lay there in silence when Miranda broke it once more. "You may start now, Andrea."
Andy burst out laughing and embraced the editor who just smiled and enjoyed that moment.
They snuggled together and talked some more until they started to yawn. Settling down further, they soon fell asleep.
Andy woke up in the middle of the night and her arm was asleep where it lay under Miranda's neck. She took it away carefully not wanting to wake Miranda. When she managed to finally free herself, she was happy to see that Miranda hadn't even stirred.
Andy slid from the bed and went to the bathroom. Finishing up quickly, she slid back into bed next to her love again and couldn't resist caressing her check.
When Miranda stirred, she pulled her hand away quickly but Miranda grabbed her and pulled it back. "Don't stop. Please. I love when you touch me."
Andy kept caressing her and Miranda turned on her back and enjoyed the gentle touch. Miranda took her hand and guided further down onto her collarbone. Since it was dark all Andy could do was feel. She stopped in surprise when she came to the swell of Miranda's breast.
Andy heard Miranda's breath speeding up.
"Please, don't stop." The editor requested again.
Andy kept going, sliding her hands further down and over Miranda's breast. She massaged it very slowly and gently and it aroused her greatly.
Miranda was panting. Andy couldn't control herself anymore. Pulling the covers away, she straddled Miranda's hips.
"Oh Andrea, I want you. Please, can we..." Miranda bit her lip.
Andy bent down and hesitated over Miranda's lips, her hands still kneading her breasts. "Yes, we can and we will because ever since I laid eyes on you, I've wanted to ravish you. Are you really feeling up to it tonight?" She whispered.
"Oh God, yes. I am so ready for this, my darling. Please." Miranda pleaded.
It was all Andrea needed to hear. She captured Miranda's lips in a heated and passionate kiss.
