CHAPTER 7: DANNY FENTON
The Wastelands of Outworld used to be the beautiful Realm of Edenia once ruled by King Aladdin and Queen Jasmine. But ever since Emperor Aku encroached and plundered Edenia, it was now a bleak, ruined, brutal, nightmarish place riddled with the bones of all of Aku's enemies. It would be here that we see two figures: a masked blue-clad white-feathered Rooster with a scar over his right eye and a weight problem, and another masked figure that looked to be the same age as Kim, Ron, and Raimundo dressed in a gray/silver ninja suit with glowing green eyes and white hair—these two figures respectively went by the names of Foghorn Leghorn and Danny Fenton.
Danny looked at his friend. "We should stay together, Foghorn. Assuming your brother's same wardrobe will certainly draw attention. Not all of it welcome."
"You are right, Danny," said Foghorn, "but assuming—I say, assuming Steelbeak's costume—wardrobe, that is—is the best way to honor him. Honor, that is, son."
"First of all, why do you call everyone 'son' and 'daughter' anyway, Foggy? I don't get it."
The talkative Lin Kuei shrugged. "Just a habit, I suppose, Danny."
". . . All right, let us proceed then, Foghorn."
"Indeed. But remember that we're Lin Kuei, son—LIN KUEI, that is. In other—I say, in other words, we aren't plant seeds, pro or otherwise. Huh, that's a joke son—PRO-SEED. I keep—I say, I keeping throwin' them and you keep missin' them, son."
Danny rolled his eyes at that joke as Foghorn laughed at it.
Foghorn then looked at the readers. "Nice boy—'bout as slow as a molasses-covered Turtle in December, though."
Now Danny had been best friends with "Foggy" for as long as he could remember, but sometimes . . .
Foghorn then became serious. "But no time—I say, no time for jokes, Danny. We should separate—split up, that is. Our fellow Lin Kuei will not be far behind once our absence is discovered. Discovered, that is."
Danny sighed. "If only they had been more forthcoming with the details of your brother's demise. We will find Walter Wolf. He will tell us all he knows."
Foghorn glared. "If he killed Steelbeak, he will die, son." He then directed his attention to Danny, bowing his head and placing a fist on his chest. "Be stealthful as the night."
Danny bowed his head and placed a fist on his chest as well. "And deadly as the dawn."
With that said, Foghorn Leghorn walked off to find out the death of his brother. As for Danny Fenton, he just stood there looking pensive before being interrupted by a female voice. As the gray-clad Lin Kuei assassin turned around, he noticed the princess Kimiko.
"The emperor was wise to send me here—" said Kimiko as she took out her fans—"the Lin Kuei do walk uninvited in his realm."
"Wise though your emperor might be," slyly commented Danny, "he was foolish to send his housemaid to interfere with Lin Kuei business."
"I am Kimiko Tohomiko, Princess of Outworld! And I deal harshly with sharp-tongued intruders!"
The Lin Kuei assassin and the princess brawled for about one and a half minutes, with Danny blocking Kimiko's fists with open hands and her fans with his armguards. It wasn't until he threw a smoke cloud at the princess' feet, teleporting her above his head. Danny then grabbed Kimiko and slammed her to the ground before saying, "Stay down."
Looking down at the blue-clad princess, the gray-clad ninja stated, "Where there is smoke, there is fire—and I am the smoke." By the look in his eyes and the sound of his voice, Danny smiled slyly. "Sleep well, princess."
Danny then walked off elsewhere.
Deep in the Living Forest, Danny watched as Yosemite Sam shot a bazooka, with Walter Wolf standing next to him looking over the weapon cache the Black Dragon Clan leader had brought to Outworld.
Sam chuckled evilly. "With a whole dern army totin' these, ain't no one in Outworld 'r Earthrealm could stands up ta ya, partner." With that said, he shot the bazooka again.
Walter smirked shrewdly as he picked up a bazooka. "Well done. You may tell your fellow Black Dragon Clan I am very interested in your merchandise."
After watching Sam fire off another round from the bazooka, Danny came out of the shadows to interfere in what the sorcerer and criminal had planned.
"Walter Wolf!" exclaimed Danny angrily.
As he and Walter glared at the Lin Kuei ninja, Sam propped his bazooka against one of the crates. "I'll take care of this shoat. No charge, partner."
Danny braced for a fight as Yosemite Sam walked up to him and put up his fists.
"One dead Lin Kuei polecat—in a dag-blasted tick!" exclaimed the criminal.
And in a blink of an eye, Sam pulled out his daggers and threw them at Danny. But the Lin Kuei Enera turned into a cloud of smoke with the daggers passing right through him. The smoke cloud then passed right by a dumbfounded Sam before Danny turned back to his original form and threw a smoke cloud right at his feet.
As Yosemite Sam fell back to the ground, Danny punched him in the face, ran behind him, and delivered a German Suplex (which was much easier and quicker than it looked considering Sam's short stature), slamming him to the ground. Turning around toward the criminal, the Lin Kuei Enera kicked him in the face, rendering him unconscious with a boot print and an dumb-looking smile on his face—with his tongue lolled out and tiny Birds and stars flying above his head before the red laser in his metal face plate popped out of place on the end of a spring, which looked like a red lightbulb.
Danny then pointed at his defeated enemy. "Stay down. I would have words with your associate." He then turned toward Walter. "Tell me what you know of Steelbeak's death."
It was then that a snarling Randall Boggs appeared in thin air before Walter assumed the form of Steelbeak.
"What?" asked Danny.
"Despite his failure at my tournament," said Walter in Steelbeak's voice, "I'll wager he was more powerful than you, Lin Kuei."
"Assuming his form will not give you his skill, shapeshifter."
"Let's see if smoke can freeze."
And with that, Danny fought off Randall and Walter. He first defeated Randall by performing the same move he executed on Yosemite not too long ago; then defeated Walter by performing his teleport—first by punching him from behind, and then the front.
"Now answer me!" commanded Danny as Walter transformed back into his original (rejuvenated) form. "What do you know of Steelbeak!?"
All of a sudden, something invisible hit Danny in the face.
"What?" asked a confused Danny. He knew it wasn't Randall since the Zaterran was still unconscious.
"Danny Fenton . . ." said a Southern-accented metallic voice before Danny got struck in the gut, followed by two more strikes—one in the face again, and another in the gut, forcing him to nearly trip over his own two feet.
With a sly smirk, Walter took advantage of that by teleporting Randall, Sam, and himself out of the Living Forest.
As Danny regained his bearings, Hannibal Roy Bean appeared in thin air. "You disobeyed the directive to remain at the Lin Kuei temple."
"Hannibal!?" asked Danny in surprise.
"You will return with us to begin your transformation."
"You actually did it . . . you're a Cyborg!"
Hannibal put a fist against his chest. "We are the Lin Kuei. More stealthful than the night . . . more deadly than the dawn!"
As he watched Hannibal teleport underground, Danny knew exactly what to do. He turned into a cloud of smoke again, to which the red Cyborg went right through before the Lin Kuei Enera turned back into his original form and teleported, hitting his enemy from behind and in front; which was followed by a smoke cloud from under Hannibal, to which Danny jumped up and slammed him into the ground and ending the skirmish.
"I will never submit!" the Lin Kuei Enera sternly articulated. As Danny started walking away from his nemesis, he was surrounded by a handful of identical gray Cyborgs before one of them pulsed electricity through him.
And speaking of electricity, it was right at that moment that Samurai Jack and Ron Stoppable appeared out of the Thunder God's bolt of lightning and into the Living Forest.
Samurai Jack mused over something. "There is great energy nearby."
"Um . . ." said Ron, tapping the Thunder God's shoulder, ". . . SJ-dude."
A short distance away, the two heroes saw Danny being tortured by the Cyborg assassins. It was at that moment Samurai Jack foreseen a vision showing the silhouette of a ninja turning into a Cyborg.
As the vision ended, Samurai Jack boldly stated, "They must not take him." And with that, the Thunder God struck his lightning at the Cyborgs and short-circuited them. Unbeknownst to anyone was that it gave Hannibal a chance to escape.
Danny just stood there, slightly dumbfounded at the events that had just happened. He then saw the Thunder God and the cocky actor approach him before putting a fist to his chest and getting down on one knee like a knight with a bow. "Thank you, Samurai Jack. I am called Danny Fenton." The Lin Kuei Enera then stood back up. "Why are you here in Outworld?"
The Thunder God answered, "To participate in a tournament and save Earthrealm. Join us, Danny Fenton."
"Forgive me, but if Hannibal was searching for me, he his hunting Foghorn Leghorn as well."
"Call me 'crazy' with a K, but did he say his friend's name is 'Foghorn,' actually?" asked Ron in confusion.
Danny continued. "The Grandmaster intends to turn every Lin Kuei into a Cyborg. My friend is in danger."
"The tournament—" stated Samurai Jack—"I have a feeling that your friend will be there."
"Then let us go. Foggy's soul depends on it."
