I'm BAAAAAAAAAAACK! Sorry for the long wait fellow writers—college work. But I promised to finish the story ASAP. So now, prepare for yet another royal-beatdown-filled plot-twister of Mortal Kartoons as a certain well-favored female Xiaolin monk plays the role of Kitana, and we finally introduce another memorable MK character portrayed by a cartoon villainess everyone loves to hate!

P.S.: To add to the mild humor from the Mortal Kombat series, I've added another cameo cartoon character to the roster for parody purposes, so be on the lookout. :)

Mortal Kombat II
CHAPTER 9: KIMIKO TOHOMIKO

"Kimiko!" barked Aku.

The blue-clad princess faced her emperor "father" with nervousness.

"How is it the Earthrealm ninjas brazenly appear before me when my daughter, Princess of Outworld, was sent to intercept them?" inquired the Outworld emperor icily.

"Father, I—" implored Kimiko before being cut off.

"BEGONE!"

And with that, the wilted-looking princess took her leave.

"Continue!" curtly ordered Aku.

"The next challenge will be Cornelius Fillmore versus Reiko!" continued Walter.

While the sorcerer spoke to the Coliseum audience, Samurai Jack turned to his two allies. "Kimiko's faith is a slender reed, bent before the storm. If it can be uprooted altogether . . ." Thinking, the Thunder God walked out of the Coliseum.

Danny and Ron just stood there before the latter shrugged. ". . . Sure, let's go ruin someone else's life."

As the cocky actor left to catch up with the Thunder God, Danny was crestfallen about his friend's upcoming fate of being executed by their former Lin Kuei brethren . . . or worse. First Raimundo Pedrosa, now Foghorn Leghorn—Danny had lost his closest friends because of the Cyber Initiative. He could stand in place and do nothing about it—but in order to help his old friends, the Lin Kuei Enera had to help his new friends, deciding to follow suit.

"Is that how you show your loyalty, Mary Melody?" scolded Kimiko, using her bodyguard/friend's full name in anger. The two girls were in the Wastelands of Outworld, where Mary followed the princess to. Apparently, however, Kimiko didn't want Mary around her—or anyone else for that matter.

"Kimiko, I—" Mary tried to explain, only to be cut off midsentence.

"You follow me when I clearly wish to be alone, then you upbraid me?" The princess' voice slowly grew louder as her temper grew higher. "I will not be scolded like some child!"

Mary finally spoke, in a firm yet gentle, caring voice. "You need to be careful. I have never seen your father that angry with you."

Raising her hand briefly, Kimiko turned and walked away from her bodyguard/friend.

However, Mary followed her, lecturing. "You are a princess. He expects more from you than now."

Turning around harshly, the princess snapped. "I know what he expects!"

Acknowledging the fact she couldn't get through to Kimiko's anger, Mary gave up. "We will talk later. When you are in more of a mind to listen."

Still giving Mary the stink-eye as she left, Kimiko shook her head briefly and sighed.

Behind the princess, a bolt of lightning came down with Samurai Jack, Ron Stoppable, and Danny Fenton appearing in its place.

Noticing the new development, the angered princess faced the three Earthrealm heroes.

"Princess Kimiko Tohomiko," began the Thunder God, I request an audience."

"Earthrealmers!" exclaimed Kimiko with a dangerous level of anger. "You dare approach me?"

"Hey listen, princess," shrugged Ron innocently, trying to reason, "we don't wanna fight."

Danny, on the other hand, squatted into a fighting position. "But we will if we must!"

"You will learn respect!" challenged the princess, the first to strike the duo. Kimiko first attacked Danny with her Square Wave Punch move, before turning to Ron. The cocky actor sent an energy ball at the princess, hitting her; but it turned to be a mistake on his part as she snarled. Using her fans and performing her Fan Lift move, Kimiko suspended Ron in the air before executing her Pretty Kick move, incapacitating the latter. When she was distracted, Danny formed a smoke cloud under Kimiko and sent her falling back to the ground. Nevertheless, the princess knew what the Lin Kuei Enera had planned and blocked his attack before performing her Square Wave Punch move again and finished the fight with a low spin attack, knocking him to the ground.

Still in her fighting stance, the princess looked down at her two defeated opponents with the stink-eye. "Aku wants death to follow Kombat. I will give it to him."

Samurai Jack walked over to Kimiko. "Perhaps Omi was wrong about you. Or perhaps he sensed, as I do, that there is conflict within you."

Kimiko just stood there in her fighting stance, but the words from the Thunder God left her confused as she watched Samurai Jack help his two allies up.

After the assistance, Ron just looked at the Thunder God blankly. "Thanks." A cracking sound could be heard in his arm joint.

"Ow. You couldn't've seen that in one o' your hot flashes?" asked the cocky actor, thumbing in the princess' direction before walking away.

Samurai Jack then redirected his attention on the confused Kimiko. "Something whispers to you that the circumstances should be different. That you should be different. You are much more like Jasmine than Ak—"

Before he could finish his statement, the Thunder God had another vision, now showing the aforementioned Edenian queen.

As the vision ended, Samurai Jack blinked in confusion. "But . . . she is dead. . . ."

"My mother is dead, yes. Why do you—" started a still-confused Kimiko.

"You need answers, Kimiko. I can help you find them, if you will trust in me. Go to Walter Wolf's Flesh Pits. Much will be revealed there."

"The Flesh Pits? But I am forbidden to—"

"Yes. You are. And why is that?"

The princess never considered "why" she was forbidden, only obeying Aku and Walter. "I . . . I don't know. Tell me—"

"You must discover your true path. Alone." With that, the Thunder God and his two allies departed in a lightning bolt, leaving Kimiko more confused than ever. . . .

. . . But she knew what she must do.

As Kimiko walked through the Living Forest to her destination, she felt a presence. Anger rising in her again, the princess spoke in a bland yet irritated tone. "Show yourself, Mary. I know you're following me. Again."

Appearing from off-screen, Mary corrected. "Following you still." The green-clad bodyguard then became serious yet apologetic. "I know where you're going. I am ordered to prevent you from going there."

"And why is that?" queried Kimiko suspiciously with a squinted eye.

Mary shrugged, an imploring look on her face. "I do not question the Emperor's commands. Kimiko, please. Turn back."

"I cannot. The path might lead me to the truth. I'm sorry, Mary . . ." The princess' sorrowed look turned into a glare as she reluctantly stood ready to fight, ". . . but I will not allow you to stop me."

After a few minutes of fighting, blocking one's attack from the other (and their respective weapons), Kimiko finally defeated Mary with a low spin attack like she did to Danny earlier.

The princess looked down at her incapacitated bodyguard/friend apologetically, yet determined. "I tried to warn you. . . . It is something I have to do."

And with that, Kimiko walked off back to the palace.

Walking down the stairs, Kimiko found herself going into the Flesh Pits. Apprehensive at first, the princess summoned the courage to continue all the way down.

The Flesh Pits was a dark, creepy place filled with red melting candles, operating tables, grisly-looking operating tools, shelves laden with organ-filled jars, and canisters filled with a clear green liquid, a skeleton each eerily floating in about half of them. And the smell . . . (INSERT SHUDDER)

Slowly walking along, Kimiko felt chilled as she looked around at the ghastly surroundings. It was then she came across one canister that was not containing a skeleton. No, in that canister was a perfectly-intact-looking body, solidly wrapped in white cloth wraps. The head had red hair in a ponytail and the body looked to be of a female Edenian, yet it had the teeth of a Tarkatan.

The princess just stared at the body in silent fear. "What in the name of . . ." As she trailed off, Kimiko then walked away from the body, only to find another body on one of the slabs that was a complete copy from the red ponytail to the white cloth wraps to the ghastly Tarkatan maw. Only difference was that the body had a sai tucked between the wraps, one on each hip. As she cautiously walked to the table and looked even closer at the body's face, the princess almost found herself at a loss for words. "What kind of creature is . . . or was . . . she? . . ."

Suddenly, the body's Tarkatan eyes popped open. It was alive!

Jumping away in surprise with a squeak, Kimiko's own eyes grew wide with horror.

"Sister!" happily, yet eerily, cackled the mutant in an almost-Kimiko-esque voice, climbing off the slab while the princess backed away from her even more as the scary new development approached her. "So pretty, so fair. . . . So sad and alone. . . ."

Even though her veil covered her mouth, a still wide-eyed Kimiko gritted her teeth while trembling in equal horror.

Literally reaching out to the princess, the red-haired, Tarkatan-eyed mutant cackled again. "Come! Let us be a family!"

Finally snapping out of and swallowing her fear, Kimiko took out her fans and glared at that thing claiming to be her sister. "You are not my family! You are a monstrosity!"

As the mutant scowled back with a savage snarl, she jumped at Kimiko. Fortunately, the princess reacted quickly with her Square Boost move, followed by her Fan Lift move and Pretty Kick move.

"RAWR!" barked the mutant again as she tossed both sais at Kimiko, who quickly deflected them with her fans.

Tucking herself into a ball, the mutant performed a Ball Roll move; the attack was also in vain as Kimiko jumping out of the way. The princess saw the opportunity to toss each of her two fans at her adversary, smacking the latter in the face each time. It was soon followed up with her Fake-Out Kick move and another Square Boost move.

As the mutant jumped back up with an even deeper murderous look in her eye, Kimiko tossed her fans again and left the mutant dazed. As her fans came back to her, the princess disappeared in a cloud and reappeared behind her assailant; with her fans folded up, Kimiko smacked the mutant in the back of the latter's head with them, which elicited a short scream of pain; she then teleported in front of the mutant and poked the latter in the eyes with her fans like fingers. The last attack left the mutant screaming in agony as she covered up her irritated eyes.

It was then that a Sloth named Flash from Zootopia appeared under the screen, much to the two girls' combined surprise and confusion, slowly laughing. "HA. . . . HA. . . . HA." He then disappeared off-screen.

Confused from the awkward moment, Kimiko then smacked the mutant in the face with either of her fans, finally ending the fight. Going by the script again, Kimiko looked down at the unconscious mutant, scowling and getting back into her fighting stance. "Farewell, 'sister'!"

Suddenly, Walter appeared with a disapproving tut-tut shake of his head and a sinister smirk. "It is no way to treat your sibling."

"Despicable swine!" growled Kimiko as she gave the greedy rejuvenated sorcerer the stink-eye. Do you think my father will stand for . . . such . . . abominations you have created here!?"

"I am merely perfecting you, princess. As difficult as it might be."

"Silence!" The princess then crouched back into her fighting stance. "I will drag you before Aku by your mangy tail!"

After dodging Walter's flaming skulls, Kimiko tossed her fans at the sorcerer, only to be deflected by his armguards. However, that didn't deter the princess as she performed her Square Boost move, and defeated Walter the same way she defeated the nightmarish abomination from earlier, the latter howling in pain before being kicked in the face.

And just like earlier, Flash appeared from the bottom of the screen and laughed slowly as a Sloth could. "HA. . . . HA. . . . HA."

After Flash disappeared off-screen again, Kimiko was temporarily confused at the new development (and new character appearance). "How come his name wasn't on the roster?"

Kimiko then redirected her attention back on the defeated Walter.

"Get up!" angrily hissed the princess.

When Walter didn't listen, Kimiko picked him up by the shirt. "You will stand before my father and confess your deeds."

Ignoring the sorcerer's smirk, the princess spun him around and forced him up the stairs out of the Flesh Pits.

As the two Kombatants entered Aku's Throne Room, along with two Tarkatan, they all stood before the Emperor. (Well, technically Walter was on his knees.)

"I would not disturb you, Father," began Kimiko, "if the matter were not of utmost importance. I felt you should know what Walter Wolf has been doing as of late." She then pointed coldly at a still-smirking Walter. "That conjuror has created horrid abominations with my blood—crossbred with Tarkatan blood. One was alive—and attacked me."

As he stood up out of his throne and walked up to Kimiko and Walter, Aku was silent as he looked at the princess, then at the sorcerer. Grumbling shrewdly, Aku then smirked at Walter in approval. "Well done, sorcerer."

Smirking with a single nod of his head, Walter stood up.

Kimiko was stunned, baffled, confused. How could her father "praise" such doings?

"You know? . . . You . . . you approve?" Kimiko stammered briefly, taken aback. She then walked up into the Emperor's face, angrily. "How could you? My own father!"

"I am your emperor!" snapped Aku, his temper sending the offended princess back a step. Soon however, the evil Emperor spoke sinisterly. "Your father was Aladdin, a weakling Edenian king. I annihilated him while merging his realm with Outworld and took his queen as my wife. If only I had not allowed Jasmine to convince me of your worth. . . ." He then briefly looked back at Walter. "But now I have a true daughter!"

Clenching her fists, Kimiko scowled from the betrayal. "Samurai Jack was right. You have lied to me my entire life."

Aku then motioned to the two Tarkatan. "Escort her to the Tower. I will make an example of her." As the two Tarkatan grabbed Kimiko by the arms and dragged her away, the Emperor then turned to Walter again. "Return to the Flesh Pits. Bring me my daughter . . . Vicky."

Unbeknownst to the two Tarkatan, or the princess for that matter, Mary Melody was hiding as she heard everything that was going on. She was shocked by the new turn of events. "I have failed you, Kimiko. . . . Now I will make amends."

The plot thickens even more! What has become of Foghorn Leghorn and Boog from the last chapter? What will become of Kimiko Tohomiko? Will Vicky make another appearance? And what will Mary Melody do for her friend?

(Okay, again I know we MK fans know the answers already, but again I write it for dramatic purposes.)

Also, what are your thoughts of me adding Flash the Sloth from Zootopia? Anybody get the parody/inside joke? ;)

In any case, stay tuned!
