Who Would Have Thought?

Summary: As a small child, Lucy only had a few, good friends. Her childhood was relatively normal and fun for a little girl. Or will old habits begin to surface once again?

Chapter 6 - Part 2

Why does all this embarrassing stuff always happen to me?

I mean I already embarrassed myself in front of the guys yesterday!

Now.. in front of my entire homeroom class!

Lucy groaned loudly as she trudged along down the hall as people around her were staring at her with much curiosity. "Why me..?"

The worse thing is that I didn't yell or anything!

In fact, I didn't even push him off of me!

Erza did it for me...

Why?

Why didn't I do or say anything?

"What's the matter, Lucy? Are you not feeling okay? You're looking a bit sweaty and nervous. Did Natsu do something else to you?" Erza, who was walking next to Lucy to their class, asked in concern. "Should I go find and punish him for his perverted actions towards you?"

Lucy stopped and shook her head. "No, I'm fine. Really! But thanks, Erza. For helping me back there."

Back in Lucy's homeroom, Erza had frightened off Natsu and all other male students looking to get in 'touch' with Lucy. After helping Lucy up to her feet, Erza and the rest of her friends checked up on her. Although her friends seemed genuinely worried, Levy had once again teased her about Natsu. However, Wendy happened to mention her crush Gajeel, who happened to be leaving the classroom with his friends, and that shut her right up.

In the midst of it all, Lucy had managed to regain her senses after her ordeal with Natsu groping her breasts in front of everyone, but she couldn't shake the feeling of him when he was laying on top of her and the touch he left behind. When Lucy assured her friends that she was alright, she explained to Erza that they have the same class together this first period. With only a few minutes left before the class started, Wendy and Levy went their separate ways leaving the two girls to walk to their class together.

"Hmm.. you're welcome, Lucy." Erza gave her a small smile. "You know, it was a surprise seeing you lying there on the floor, legs parted, mouth opened wide with shock, and frail arms lying by your side with Natsu on top of you and his hands holding onto your breasts as if for dear life! Despicable! I shall have to teach him a lesson later about boundaries."

"Gee.. thanks for the reminder.." Lucy's face was bright red, and she felt a bit uncomfortable, yet strangely aroused from Erza's detailed description.

What the hell is going on with me?

I can't possibly be feeling this way!

Especially towards Natsu of all people..

Erza stopped all of sudden and shook her head. "Ugh, what am I saying? Lucy, as your old childhood friend, I'm glad to see you back with us. We all missed you so much. I'm sorry, I didn't say this sooner. I was so caught up in teaching Natsu a lesson that it completely left my mind."

"Oh, it's okay, and I missed you too! We should catch up after school. Levy and Wendy said we should plan a get together or something. Would you like to join us?" Lucy snapped herself out of her thoughts and smiled reassuringly. "It wouldn't feel right without you there."

"Of course, I'll be happy to join you all." Erza went to hug her, but it proved to be a little difficult. Since the two girls have such big busts, their hug was quite uncomfortable. Their chests pushed against one another making it hard to give each other a proper hug.

"Uhhh.. this is a little uncomfortable." Lucy admitted with a nervous smile.

"Yeaaah, no more hugging." Erza said with the same nervous expression. "Handshake?"

"Handshake!" Lucy grabbed her hand and shook it proudly.

Erza nodded with a grin on her face. "Welcome back, Lucy."

"Thanks again. Hey, shouldn't we be getting to first period? I think the bell is about to ring."

"We're already here." Erza told her plainly as she pointed to the open classroom door beside them. Lucy's mind and thoughts had been so caught up with what happened with Natsu only a couple of minutes before and greeting Erza, that she failed to notice her surroundings.

"So we've been standing in front of the door this whole time?" Lucy sweat dropped with a dumbfounded look on her face. "With other students watching and listening to all of what we were just saying?"

Inside of the classroom, nearly all the male students were giving her weird looks, and most of the girls looked almost irritated by her presence.

Erza, unfazed by it all, folded her arms under her chest. "Probably so."

"Great..." Lucy silently cried under her nervous, smiling face.

Now, everyone will know what happened between me and Natsu today!

"Hey did you hear? Natsu was face down in that new blonde girl's chest!"

"Yoo, I need to tell you about how Natsu fell on the new girl and totally grabbed a hold of her big breasts!"

Or something crazy like that!

*Sighs*

Why me?

"Will you be joining us, young ladies?" A fairy tall, and slim man with thin optical glasses, short black hair, and beady green eyes asked both of the girls just as the bell rang. "School president Erza and you are?"

"Oh! I'm Lucy.. and new."

"Lucy... Lucy... oh, yes. The new student. The Heartfilia girl. Hurry, hurry, take your seat."

On her way to her seat, Lucy recognized two males that she had seen the day before. The blonde and the one with the black hair. However, they seemed to pay her no attention whatsoever. She shrugged and found an empty chair next to Erza.

First period was not too exciting as homeroom, but it wasn't boring either. The teacher was surprisingly upbeat and extremely knowledgeable in the school subject he was teaching. In no time at all, the class period was over, and Lucy was walking with Erza out the door. In her hand, she was checking for her next class period.

"Yes! I have music class next!" She cheered happily.

And then art after that!

At least I have something good going for me today.

Besides being reunited with some of my friends..

"Music?"

"Yes, I really love music. Especially playing the piano.." Lucy confessed with a smile on her face.

"That sounds great." Erza told her. "Too bad I have Geometry class or I would have loved to hear you play."

Lucy pouted. "You can.. you and everyone else can come over my house sometime! We have a ballroom with a grand piano imported from Hong Kong."

"Fantastic. Well, I'll see you later, Lucy. Stay safe." Erza warned with a hard smile.

Awkwardly, Lucy laughed as she waved goodbye to her friend. Now, she was all alone with other students coming and going all around her. "See ya.."

Now, I'm alone..

I really wish Levy or Wendy would pop up out of nowhere right about now.

Lucy sighed as she turned on her heels and began walking off toward her next class. As she walked, she took the time to take in the school body that was all around her. There were snobby, mean girls that seemed to be whispering about her, and mischievous guys that were watching her every move. The feeling of eyes on her made her extremely nervous.

Ughhh!

What are they staring so much for!?

"Lucy?"

"Huh?"

Loke?

Indeed, Loke had stopped in front of her in the middle of the hallway and gave her his famous, charming smile. "Lucy, it's nice to see you again after all these years."

"Loke?" Lucy started to smile as she went to hug him tightly. Even with people around them watching, she didn't care. He was her best friend when they were kids, and she missed talking to him a lot. He was there for when she needed him around, and now he was back in her life. "I missed you so much!"

"Hehe.. I missed you too, Lucy. Especially, your pretty smile." Loke complimented as he hugged her back.

"Ugh! Would you look at that!"

"Yeah! Now, she's got Loke all on her!"

"Geez, the new girl sure is getting around fast."

Lucy's eye twitched from the comments she heard from a group of girls watching the two in their embrace. "I.. get.. around!?"

"Don't worry about them." Loke told her when the hug stopped. "They're just jealous that you're way more pretty than them."

Lucy blushed slightly and smiled. "T-thanks.. hey, what's your next class right now?"

"Just music. What about you?"

"Great! I have it too! We can walk together and catch up a little." Lucy suggested, but then nervously grinned. "B-b-but only if you want to."

"Of course, I would." Loke readily agreed. "Let's go."

He's still the same polite boy I remember!

But a little more flirtatious..

"By the way, Lucy. You're uniform fits you quite well. I've never seen a body more curvy in a school uniform than yours."

Did I say a little?

I meant a lot more!

Lucy and Loke made it to their third period music class, and the room was just as she remembered. Classical instruments everywhere such as a grand, black piano, violins, and trumpets. They were all neatly packed away on one side of the room while black chairs were neatly placed on the other side in rows. At the front, there was a teacher's desk and a tall black stand with papers. On the wall, were musical notes, quotes by different, famous composers, and many other posters that were music related.

"This is amazing."

"I know right?" Loke shared her amazement. "The teacher is even more amazing. She's traveled the world with the most famous musical artists and has been to and participated in live concerts and operas!"

"Seriously?"

That's awesome!

Maybe she can teach me a few things.

Just as the bell rung, Loke took Lucy to a couple of seats by the classroom windows. As more and more students hurried into the classroom, Lucy started to wonder to herself. There were a lot more guys in the class than she thought it would be. In fact, over half of the students were male and the others were female. Once the teacher had came into the classroom, it became clear why most of the student body were boys. She was a tall and voluptuous character with long, shiny black hair, peach colored skin, a rather big bust, and plump, rosy lips. She wore a deep red shirt, black skirt, black stockings, heels, a long white coat over it, and thin, clear glasses.

"Welcome class! To another day to create and enjoy music! Oh, and I see we have another young mind among us today. My name is Miss Kui Myuta, but please call me Kui! I hope you will enjoy my class this school year.. so let's begin!"

All the males seemed to be rather entranced by the teacher's looks, even Loke. However, Lucy and the other girls were more interested in what she had to show and teach them. Kui not only had good looks, but she had vast knowledge in the subject of music and its history. Lucy learned more than she ever was taught back in Hong Kong. She rather enjoyed listening to her talk about her travels with the worlds most famous musical artist. She didn't even notice that the bell had rung, the teacher had dismissed class.

I can't wait to get my hands on that piano over there..

Then I'll get to show her what I can do, and maybe.. just maybe, she can help me improve my skills-

Loke noticed that Lucy was not getting up from her seat, so he tapped her on the shoulder to grab her attention. "Lucy, it's time for next period."

"Huh?" She was snapped out of her thoughts and brought back to reality.

"Class is over, Lucy. Wow, you seem to be really interested!"

"Duh! I love art, but it seems you had your mind on something other than art."

"Ahaha... of course, I wasn't! I was listening." Loke nervously laughed while Lucy gave him a hard glare.

He was probably just staring at her this whole time..

Just like the others... but at least he's more discreet about it.

"Oh yeah! Before I forget. I want to apologize for Natsu's behavior this morning. He was just a bit high strung.. from I guess seeing you after all this time. By the way, Gray really did trip him, so don't be mad at him for that." Loke just remembered what happened that morning and wanted to let Lucy know.

"No, i-it's okay. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm good. I understand.." Lucy said she turned before he could see the blush on her face. "Anyway, I should get going to my next period."

"What is it?"

"Art."

"Oh, I have stupid government class.. hey, you want me to walk you to your class?" Loke asked politely as they both stepped out into the hall together.

Lucy thought for a moment, but then shook her head. She'd rather not have any girls, who happen to really like him, angry at her for walking with him. "No.. no, that's fine. I know where it is. I wouldn't want you to be late for your own class. But thank you anyway."

"If you say so, Lucy." Loke nodded at her answer. "I'll see you again at lunch then."

"Yeah.. okay!" Lucy waved goodbye to him and went on her own way. "See ya until then."

Alone again...

With people staring... again.

Lucy groaned silently as she trudged along through the hallway. However, her mood picked back up once she thought about art class. It was her favorite besides music and the piano. "Ahh.. I can't wait.. I haven't drawn anything in forever!"

This time I'll take the elevator..

She happened to found one down the hallway, pressed the button, and then waited. After a few moments, the door finally opened, and she walked inside. Just as the doors were about to close, someone rushed inside at the last minute.

"Hey! Hold the the elevator!"

"Oh, I'm sorr-" Lucy gasped as soon as she recognized the voice.

Natsu!?'

What's he doing here?

He was breathing heavily and was bent over with a hand holding onto the elevator walls. After a few seconds, he regained his breath and then looked out of the elevator to see a black haired male that ran straight toward him. On closer inspection, Lucy realized it was, in fact, Gray. She also saw that he had a big red bruise on his forehead.

"YOU ASSHOLE! I'M GONNA GET YOU FOR THAT!"

Natsu only laughed and hit the elevator button to close the doors. "IT'S TOO LATE, ICE BOY! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR TRIPPING ME THIS MORNING!"

Fortunately for Natsu, the elevator doors closed before Gray could even reach them. "NATSUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

"Hahahahaha!" Natsu let out a loud laugh that filled the small space they were in. "Looks like he needs to run more laps before basketball practice if he think he's going to catch me anytime soon!"

Lucy, who was standing next to him that whole time, kept to herself as Natsu continued to laugh to himself at Gray's inability to catch him. Thankfully, the button he had pressed was the floor her classroom was on, so she didn't have to speak up or anything. As minutes went on by, Natsu had finally noticed the other person in the elevator with him. At first, his voice got caught in his throat as the sight of the blonde beauty came into his line of vision. However, after a few seconds of catching his breath, he spoke to her.

"Ohh! Ummm.. sorry about that."

"Uhh... it's okay.."

"Y-yeah.."

"Mhm.."

The rest of the elevator ride was awkward and silent. Lucy could swear he could hear her heart as it beat loudly in her chest. She was breathing shallowly, and her legs were trembling. Silently, she hoped that Natsu didn't notice at all.

Please...

PLEASE!

HURRY UP!

It seemed like an eternity before the elevator door opened.

Thank God!

Without thinking, Lucy rushed off of the elevator just as Natsu was about to speak to her again.

"Umm.."

Is she scared around me now?

Oh, great...

Natsu sighed sadly as he exited the elevator as well. He stared down at the floor and started to talk to himself. "Damn, Gray. Tripping me on her.. now.. she wont even look at me! Much less talk to me."

It's what I deserve after what I did to her, but...

I, at least, want to apologize.

"Oh shit!" He ran straight toward down the hall, turned the corner, and made it to his class. Little did he know, it was the same class Lucy had gone inside only minutes before.

"Nice of you to join us, Mr. Dragneel." Mr. Lato, a crisp young man with a shaved head, blue eyes, and a slick mustache, said as he saw Natsu rush into the room. He was wearing a messy white t-shirt, black paints, and plain tennis shoes. All of his clothing, including his hands and arms, were covered with paint splatter, charcoal, and other mediums of creating artwork.

"You know what happens when you're late to art class."

"Wait, I just had this jacket cleaned!"

Natsu waved his hands in front of himself just as Mr. Lato picked up cup of yellow paint. On the first day of class, Mr. Lato explained his own punishment for being tardy to his class instead of just receiving a late slip. In place of the slip, he would dose a big cup of paint at you as a creative alternative to assure that you would never want to be late to his class again. You would have to walk around school with your uniform covered in paint. It was a surprise that this was even allowed.

"Now, Natsu. Let's get it over with, shall we?" Mr. Lato took the paint from his desk, raised his hands in a pitcher's stance, and threw it directly toward Natsu who quickly ducked. The paint hit the wall behind him.

"HA! YOU MISSED!" Natsu laughed as a second cup of paint hit his face and slide down his jacket. "HEY!

How in the hell is he allowed to do this?

I know this school has some crazy teachers, but come on!

Students in the class began to laugh aloud as Mr. Lato smiled. "I always have an infinite supply of paint, Natsu. You know this. Now, please, find your seat, so we can get started."

"Yes, sir."

Natsu wipes the paint from his face and then removed his jacket. Luckily for him, no paint got on his white under shirt, so he was safe from embarrassment. He then slung his jacket over his back and walked to his seat. As he walked toward his usual seat, he got various calls from girls for him to sit with them, and some even offer him a handkerchief or two. Before he could deny them, he stopped in his tracks when he saw Lucy in the chair next to the seat he usually takes.

"Is there something wrong, Mr. Dragneel?" The teacher asked when he saw Natsu still standing. "Besides some paint still stuck on your face?"

"N-no."

Without even looking at or talking to her her, he took the seat next to her and class began. "Today, class. We have a new artist joining our art class, so today... we will be testing out our creative minds. It will give me a chance to assess your abilities since our first few days of class and also give me a chance to see the abilities of your new classmate. For the class, I want you to draw a simple piece of nature. A tree, flower, or anything you can think of. Remember to draw from simplest form to detailed form as we discussed in earlier classes. As a bonus, if you can shade it correctly, you will receive extra marks on your grade."

"Fantastic." Natsu sighed. He enjoyed drawing very much. Granted, he was no Picasso, but he did draw very well. Unfortunately, at the moment, his mind was a complete blank.

Great.. first I get hit with paint and now, I have to draw something? Well, what am I going to draw?

I can't concentrate!

Normally, I'm able to, but now since she's sitting right next to me... I just can't.

Next to him, Lucy was busily drawing a picture of a rose flower and hand holding it by its stem. The details that she put into amazed him beyond belief. She even added delicate shading to the drawing without getting smudges on the paper.

Whoa..

She can draw really good.

No wonder she's in this class.

"Are you having trouble coming up with something to draw, Natsu?" Mr. Lato, who stood behind him, questioned. "Need some help?"

"What? No.. No.. I'm just thinking.."

"Well, even though, the creative process takes time. Can you speed it up a little. There are only so many minutes left in this class, and I'm planning on putting this down as your first official grade for this year."

Great...

"Yes.. sir.."

"Good." The teacher smiled and walked to a student who has their hand raised. "Yes, do you have a question or need some help?"

"Hey, Natsuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~" A brown haired female, who was smiling and blushing, waved over to him. "I can give you more than enough inspiration if you know what I mean!"

"Ummm... that's nice, but-"

"What about me, Natsu-kun?" Another girl asked of him with an eager look on her face. "I'm almost done with my drawing, and I can help you, if you would like?"

Natsu laughed nervously at both the girls and slowly shook his head. "Haha... thanks, but no thanks."

"Aw, okay..." Both girls sadly return to their own work and left him alone.

For a good while, Natsu sat there thinking on what he should do, but he couldn't think straight. The only thing he could do to Lucy's drawing to see how she was doing with her work.

"What the-"

Now, she adding a calm background with tiny insects and rain droplets. It amazed him that she could draw so easily like it was nothing, and he was still sitting there thinking about what he could draw. He groaned and then looked back at his own blank sketchbook and started to tap his pencil. Without even thinking, he began to draw in his sketchbook, and he didn't realize what exactly he was drawing until the class bell rang.

"Time's up. Pass in your sketchbooks. I will grade, write some notes, and hand them back to you all tomorrow." Mr. Lato told everyone. "Have a good rest of the day!"

Natsu sighed and looked down at his work. His eyes grew wide once he saw what he'd done. He drew what Mr. Lato required of him, but there was extra. There was a big oak tree sitting in the middle of playground, and there was a young girl crying while she stood underneath it.

That... looks like Lucy.

What?

Why the hell did I draw this?

"Are you done, Natsu?" Mr. Lato asked as he peered over his shoulder.

Natsu quickly shut the notebook. "Umm.. yeah.."

Luckily for him, Lucy hadn't seen what he'd drawn. In fact, by the time he got up, she was gone and out of the door. Natsu groaned and smacked his fore head as he grabbed his paint stained jacket that hung from the back of his chair.

Looks like she can't stand to be next to me longer than she has to.

Great..

"HEY, NATSU!" Gray yelled as he stood at the door leading into the art class. The red bruise on his head was still visible. "I FINALLY GOT YOU NOW!"

~Elsewhere in the school: Lunch Time~

"Lu-chan? You look like a bright red tomato. Did everything go well in your classes?"

Lucy had joined Levy, Wendy, and Erza on their way to lunch. To them, she looked exactly how Levy had described her to be.

"Y-yeah, they were fine!"

"Then why do you look like that?" Wendy asked as she crossed her arms.

"Well..."

"LUCY! So the rumors were true!" A browned hair female shouted as she hugged both arms around the blonde from behind.

Lucy could smell a hint of alcohol on the girl's breath as she turned her head to see who it was. "Cana!? Wait... what rumor?"

Cana whispered deviously as she grabbed a hold of Lucy's breasts. "Hehe... that there was a busty, blonde, new student that came this morning.. aaaaaaaaaaand that Natsu had the first chance to touch her amazing chest.."

"Aaah! Cut it out!" Lucy slapped her hands away. "People are staring!"

"Hahaha! I'm sorry, it's just that you're sooooo cute! I can't believe you grew up so dramatically!" Cana apologized with a hard laugh.

"Funny, I could say the same thing about you." Lucy said referring to Cana's busty, and slightly sexual appearance. Her jacket was undone and a few buttons of her undershirt were undone as well. "And the fact I could smell alcohol on your breath-"

"QUIET!" Cana clamped a hand over Lucy's mouth. "It's the beginning of the school year, and I would rather not be expelled from school for intoxication."

"Are we going to lunch or what?" Wendy asked just as her stomach growled. They were only a few feet away from cafeteria door, and the aroma of delicious foods filled their nostrils. "My stomach is talking to me, and it's telling me to eat something. We have P.E. next, and I would rather not pass out from exhaustion."

"Yes, I agree." Erza crossed her arms with a determined look on her face. "They're serving strawberry cake today, and if they are all gone before I get a chance to have a slice, someone is going to pay for making us wait.."

Lucy and the girls, frightened by the look on Erza's face, laughed nervously. "H-hehe.. let's get going then!"

On the other hand, Cana just rolled her eyes. "I swear! You're going to turn into a big fat strawberry if you keep eating like that."

Erza scoffed at Cana's little comment and shook her head. She then pointed a finger right at her face. "And you're going to turn into an alcoholic if-"

"EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME!"

"GET BACK HERE!"

"H-huh?" She was knocked to the ground as Natsu, running away from Gray, ran past her and right into the cafeteria. Gray, as well, disregarded Erza and continued his pursuit after Natsu.

"Ummm.. Erza.. are you, alright?" Wendy asked as she carefully bent down to help her up.

Erza breathed hardly and clenched her teeth when she answered. "I'm.. FINE!"

Wendy jumped back in fright and hide behind Levy who hid behind Lucy was standing next to Cana with concerned looks on their faces.

"This can't be good.." Lucy muttered to herself as she and other students stood back as Erza used one hand to lift herself up.

"Grr..." Erza's face turned completely black with rage as she stood up. Before she took off into the cafeteria after them, she screamed. "Those... two... NATSU AND GRAY! YOU BOTH ARE SO DEAD AND IN YOUR COFFINS WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU!"

"Well, that was a mouth full..." Levy laughed nervously as she got from behind Lucy. "Come on, Lu-chan. We can go eat and watch the show!"

"Show?" Lucy question as she was dragged along into the cafeteria. Inside, it was just like the rest of the school, but the aroma of food filled the air. There were many students with their friends either getting their lunch or finding a place to seat. The food was being cooked by, from the looks of it, top of the line chefs.

"Aw, we missed it." Cana said as she pointed to Erza, who sat squarely on top of a beaten Natsu and Gray. Swirls were going around in their eyes as their bodies laid sprawled out on the cafe floor.

"And that should teach the both of you not to knock anyone down in the hallway!"

"Y-yes, ma'am..."

"Oh, well, let's eat!"

A few minutes later, the girls were sitting together at a table across the cafeteria. While her friends ate the cafe food, Lucy pulled out a small box from her back.

"What do you have Lucy?" Wendy asked as she took a big bite of cucumber sandwich.

"I don't.. we got a new maid today.. and she's kinda weird to say the least. So I don't know what she could have possibly made me."

"A maid!? You're so lucky! My parents make me cook all of my meals now."

I would say you were the lucky one.

I don't even know how to cook...

Lucy opened the small container to a sight of fresh sushi and sweet rolls neatly placed in perfect lines.

"Whooaaa! That look so good!" Levy's mouth watered, and she accidentally dropped her sandwich on the floor below her. "Noooooooooo! My sandwich!"

"That's what you get for being greedy." Wendy told her after she laughed for what seemed like forever.

"Here, we can share some of mine." Lucy offered some of her food to her.

"Thanks, Lu-chan. At least I can count on someone."

Wendy rolled her eyes as she took a sip of her drink. "Whatever..."

Cana, who wasn't in the conversation, drank out a mysterious container and leaned back in her chair.

"Are you drinking right now?"

"So what if I am? A girl's gotta have her fix."

"HEY, CANA! COME OVER HERE FOR A SECOND!" A boy shouted from two tables away.

Cana hopped to her feet and took her drink with her and walked off to join the table full of guys. "I'll talk to you girls later."

"Hey, wait!"

"Let her be, Lucy." Wendy told her. "Besides us, she has an extensive list of male friends."

Gee..

I wonder why?

"Here you guys are! I was looking all over for you!" A girl with curly, long blue hair, dark blue eyes, pale skin, and a slender, yet curvy figure walked over to the table with her arms folded under her chest and an annoyed look on her face.

"Juvia!" Levy remembered. "Oh yeah, we always met you by the soda machine before lunch."

"Yes! And today, Juvia stood there by herself for ten minutes before realizing none of you were coming for her!"

"Why is she speaking in third person?" Lucy, by mistake, asked herself aloud.

"Hmm?" Juvia noticed the new girl that sat with her friends. "Who's she?"

"Oh, this is Lucy. She's our old childhood friend who moved away when we were kids." Levy explained as she took another piece of sushi from Lucy's lunchbox.

"Oh! Okay." Juvia politely held out her hand. "Nice to meet you, my name is Juvia Lockser."

"Nice to meet you too!" Lucy took her hand and shook it.

Juvia smiled at her and looked around to notice a few people missing. "Where's Cana?"

"Drinking buddies."

"Mira?"

"Hmm.. probably doing some extra credit work. I heard she got a position as a student teacher or something along those lines." Wendy answered.

Who's this Mira?

I remember them saying I would meet her, but..

"Erza?"

"She's over there eating her strawberry cake and still sitting on Natsu and Gray." Wendy pointed.

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!?" Juvia, suddenly, whined as she turned on her heels and saw it for herself. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Don't hurt Gray-samaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

"What the-"

Wendy and Levy laughed at the shocked expression on Lucy's face as she watched Juvia rush over to Gray's aid.

"FYI, if you can't already tell, she's kinda obsessed with Gray, so don't look suspicious around me, okay?" Levy quickly explained.

"What!? Seriously?"

"Yeah... it's kinda funny, but creepy in the least." Levy laughed.

"Right.." Lucy nervously chuckled with an unsure look on her face. "Anyway, she mentioned a girl named Mira, who's that?"

Wendy answered first. "Erza's rival."

"Rival? What does that mean?"

"Exactly how it sounds. Mira moved here with her little since during middle school and since ever meeting each other, they've always been trying to one up one another in everything. Getting in each others face and stuff like that. Even getting into fights every once in a while. No one knows why or how it started, but its continued into high school till this very day. Erza's the school president, and Mira is the vice president. Erza tutors after school, and Mira is a student teacher. And it goes on and on. You can say they are frenemies. Close friends, but also enemies."

Seriously?

With Erza? Our mean, scary Erza?

Who would be crazy enough to challenge her!?

She must be as scary and intimidating as her then!

"Don't worry, you'll meet her soon and see exactly what I mean." Wendy assured her.

"Erza, as the school president, this type of conduct is very unbecoming of you."

"What did you say?"

"That sounds like Mira now."

Lucy turned in her seat and saw the girl in question. Instantly, she became quite confused. Mira had long silver hair that went to her lower back, enchanting blue eyes, smooth, light skin, and a voluptuous body just as Erza. As she spoke to Erza, she had a sweet, innocent smile on her face that could melt the heart of millions.

What?

She doesn't look scary at all!

In fact, she doesn't look like she can even hurt a fly.

"Don't judge a book by its cover, Lucy. Even the with that sweet face of hers, she can get pretty scary when she's mad." Levy whispered as a piece of sweet roll flew out her mouth.

Wendy moved back from her and glared. "Hey! Eat! Swallow! And then talk! Don't do it all at once!"

"M-my bad!" Levy blushed and covered her mouth.

"Just what are you getting at?" Erza, now alerted by Mira's comment, stood up from her seat on the boys and faced Mira who was right in front of her.

"I'm just saying that beating up students like this is unlike how a real school president should be behaving. Don't you think so?"

"Gray-sama, I'm glad you're alright!" Juvia put Gray into a death hug of hers and hugged him tight.

"C-c-can't breath!"

Juvia blushed and let him go so he could catch his breath. "Oh! Juvia is sorry, Gray-sama.. she was only worried about you."

"Do I think so?" Erza scoffed. "As vice president, I really think you should think before questioning your presiding leader like that."

The whole cafeteria got real quiet. There was no talking and no eating. Everyone was watching as Mira kept her signature smile on her face as Erza held her angry, dominating expression.

Aaaaaah!

What's going on?

It's so quiet... they aren't going to fight, are they?

That's when Mira sighed and lost her smiled. Instead she frowned and shook her head. "I was only expressing my concerns. Violence can not be solved with violence, you know? But I guess that's the only way you think of to solve problems.."

"WHAT-" Erza's face turned completely red as steamed flew out of her ears. Meanwhile, Mira kept calm, cool, and collected. She stepped closer, and just before she could speak another word, the bell rang indicating it was now time to head to fifth period.

"NOOOO! I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO GET MY DAILY DOSE OF FLAVOR ICE!" Gray, with Juvia still next to him, shouted out in anger. "THANKS A LOT, NATSU!"

"WHAT DON'T LOOK AT ME! I WASN'T THE ONE THAT SAT ON TOP OF US ALL DURING LUNCH!" Natsu yelled right back at him.

"QUIET THE BOTH OF YOU, OR LUNCH WILL NOT BE THE ONLY THING YOU MISS TODAY!" Erza, with dark storm clouds and lightening that flew around her, yelled at the two of them.

"Aaaaaah! Yes, ma'am!" Natsu and Gray, mistakenly, hugged one another in fright and left Juvia sulking.

"Gray-s-sama... why didn't you hug me...?"

Erza turned her attention back to Mira, but saw that she was now gone. "Where did she-"

"She's gone, Erza." Wendy and the girls, minus Cana who had a different period entirely, walked up to her. "She shook her head and then left when you started yelling at Gray and Natsu again."

"Dammit! She always plays the innocent one, while I look like the villain!"

"Then maybe you should try to control your anger like she... never mind!" Levy started to suggest, but then stopped once she saw the look on her face.

"I can control my anger! It's just that certain situations call for it."

Lucy sweat dropped and whispered. "And sometimes you take it a little too far..."

"Are we going to stand here all day, or are we going to P.E.?" Wendy asked as she walked ahead of them. She stretched her arms high in the air. "I need to walk off all this food now!"

"BUT WE STILL DIDN'T GET ANY LUNCH!"

~5th Period: P.E.~

"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE! YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO! JUST REMEMBER, YOU CAN'T SIT DOWN FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES. JUST STAY ACTIVE THE WHOLE PERIOD, AND YOU'LL BE MARKED DOWN FOR THE DAY!" A tall, muscular man with dark tan skin, black and white hair, and black eyes, yelled at all of students as they emerged from the locker rooms and entered the gym. Most of the boys went straight to play basketball or another sport allowed in the gym. The girls were either walking around the gym in small groups, or had gone outside the gym to play volleyball or tennis, or were standing by watching the boys play their game of basketball.

Lucy, dressed in a white t-shirt, dark blue short, white socks, and tennis shoes, was surprised by how laid back the P.E. teacher was. She was with Levy and Wendy, and they were currently walking around the gym for laps.

"I know right? Once in a while, he makes us do exercises, but other than that, we can just walk around and talk. Now, his girlfriend is a different story.." Levy, who walked next to Lucy, shuddered from the thought of her.

"Girlfriend?"

Wendy nodded. "Yeah.. she runs the school pool area, and she's in the charge of the swim team. But don't let her beauty fool you! She's really scary you make her mad! I just wonder how he can put up with her!"

"Hmm.."

Just then a stray basketball bounced over Lucy's head and into the corner near them.

Levy laughed and pointed it out. "Wow, that was-"

"HEY, WATCH OUT!" A boy collided into Lucy and knocked her down along with himself.

"-close."

Lucy, groaning in pain, opened her eyes and screamed when she saw the male's face was right in her breast. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

"Huh!? What are you screaming for? I... whoa, looks like it's my lucky day!" The boy, with a slight nosebleed at the sight of himself essentially motor boating Lucy's breasts, smiled perversely.

"GET THE HELL OFF OF ME YOU CREEP!" She, blushing madly, screamed as she kicked the perverted boy as hard and as far as she could. Her kick was so powerful, in fact, that the boy flew across the gym and right into the bleachers.

"Damn, Lucy!" Levy helped Lucy up to her feet as people around them watched. "You got some strong legs there!"

Lucy, angered by her some of her bad luck today, readjusted her gym clothes. "Mmph! I will not be publicly groped in front of people again!"

"Hehe, no guy will mess with you now that they know you can kick them really hard in their junk to get them to go away!" Wendy joked making the other girls laugh out loud.

Natsu, like the other guys, had watched when their player was thrown across the gym. They all were astonished by her sudden show of strength.

Geez.. that was one hard kick!

I feel bad for him..

But if she could do that to him.. why not me?

"Natsu, you still playing? We're one guy short, but with you, we can still beat em."

"Yeah, yeah."

~6th Period: Home Economics~

Much later Lucy, along with Levy and Loke, found herself in her home economics class directed by none other than Mira.

So this is the class she's teaching.

"Today class, we'll be baking cookies. The type of them will be decided by you, so make sure to make them extra sweet, because I'll be tasting your hard work for a grade today! Just read your instructions carefully, and remember, no.. JAKE PUT THAT DOWN! I'M NOT DONE TALKING YET? And remember, no horsing around!"

Well, that was a sudden change in tone..

The instructions on how to bake cookies were simple enough, but for Lucy they seemed be extremely difficult. "Add two cups of flour? Do I just pack it all into this thing?"

"Ummm? Lucy? Do you need some help over there?" Levy asked when she saw the blonde dump a whole bunch of flour into her bowl.

"N-no, I'm fine!" Lucy had assured her before she read the rest of the instructions. "Now, add.. three eggs. Dang it! Some of the egg shells got inside!"

"Lucy, you don't have to be ashamed or embarrassed, we can help you if you need help." Loke told her as he closed the oven door to start baking his chocolate cookies.

Lucy quickly shook her head and rejected the offer once again. "I can do this!"

I can't do this!

My cookie mix literally looks like throw-up!

Maybe worse..

By the time Mira called for the end of class, Lucy's so called 'cookies' were done baking in the oven long after everyone else's had finished. Loke's were perfectly baked, and girls swooned around him, Levy's were pretty good as well, and the rest of the classmates did well too.

"Lucy?"

Levy and Loke stood behind Lucy as she opened the oven to reveal what she had created. They were dark in color and hard looking. They weren't even round. Some were too big while others were clearly too small. On top of all that, they were smoking and creating a dark cloud above the oven.

"God, those are some ugl-" Levy started to say, but she was quickly pushed by Loke. "I mean.. wow, they were the most delicious looking peanut butter cookies I have ever seen!"

"It was supposed to be white chocolate..."

"Could you be anymore sarcastic?" Loke sighed.

"It's okay, guys..." Lucy told them, but she secretly cried on the inside.

KIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Even the cookie monster wouldn't eat these!

"Ah! Here comes Mira!" Levy told them both as she walked back to her own station, and Loke did the same.

Mira?

Oh no..

"Hi.. umm.. you're the new student, right? Lucy Heartfilia! I'm sorry I didn't introduce you to the class, but welcome." Mira said as she made her way over to Lucy's cooking station.

Lucy had slammed the oven closed and turned to face her. "Uhhhh.. it's okay, and thanks!"

Mira smiled. "So let's take a look at your cookies. You took the longest, so yours should be the best in the class."

"Wait-"

Lucy didn't have time to explain as Mira opened the oven and a puff of black smoke came up right into her face. She then gently closed the oven and turned back to Lucy. Even though her face was covered in a black gunk, she still had a warming smile on her face.

"Well, that's okay. Not everyone knows how to bake without a little help. Was this your first time cooking cookies?"

"I-I'm sorry... it's just that.. since I grew up with chefs cooking for me all the time.. I never was taught how to cook anything at all for myself." Lucy explained as she handed her a napkin to wipe her face. "Not even cookies."

Mira, after wiping her face, nodded and then smiled sympathetically. "Don't worry, Lucy. You'll get the hang of it soon! No one has ever failed my class... and I mean ever! So you'll learn in no time at all!"

Somehow, deep inside, Lucy felt that Mira had a sinister tone behind her cheerful smile and happy tone. "T-thanks!"

Thankfully, for her, the bell rang for class to be dismissed.

~7th Period: Math - Calculus~

"Hey, class! Ready for some math problems!?" An overly excited female teacher, with short orange hair, purple eyes, and a black mole below her lip, asked her students. Her name was Mrs. Puni, and she wore an unusual outfit with math symbols mathematically placed on her skirt, shirt, and her jacket.

"Yeah..." A gust of wind from out of no where swirls right by her.

Of course, no one responded with the same excitement she had, and it disappointed her. "Why is it that no one gets excited about math class? Anyway, today, I'm going to teach you some new concepts, so watch carefully. You'll be doing practice problems."

Mrs. Puni quickly went through her lesson as her students watched on. It was hard for most of them to keep up. Lucy, however, automatically picked up on the lesson, because she had learned previously in an advanced math class back in Hong Kong.

"Now, let's practice!"

All of the students immediately groaned as she started to pass out the papers for them to begin. As soon as Lucy got hers, she scratched her head in thought. There were only five problems.

These aren't hard at all!

In no time at all, she finished her work, but there were still a lot of time left in class.

What now?

Lucy's eyes wondered around class. She recognized the blonde, spiky haired boy, and a couple of Cana's friends.

"She explains for five minutes and thinks we're math geniuses now?" Sting complained as he tried to complete the first problem.

Also in the class, she saw a girl with curly pink hair and brown eyes. From the looks of it, she was quite pretty and different from other girls Lucy had seen.

"Ummm.." She was concentrating while she tapped her pencil on her desk.

"Aries? Do you need some help?" The teacher, who was walking by, asked.

The girl shyly shook her head and blushed. "N-no! I was just thinking.."

The teacher nodded politely and continued her walk around class. "Gajeel, are you doing okay?"

"Yeah, I guess.."

"You, Jet? Droy? Bacchus? Bisca? Alzack?" She called out multiple students names and got the same response from the all. She sighed sadly and then turned to another student of hers.

"How about you, Natsu?"

W-what?

"Not well.." He was still stuck on the first problem while others have made it to the second one.

"Hmm.. well, since your regular tutor, Lisanna, will be out for the next week or so, why don't we find you a new, temporary tutor?"

Natsu groaned. He really didn't want a new tutor. For him, Lisanna was the only one who could explain math problems in a way that he could understand. Other people would just confuse him and make the problem more difficult than it really is. However, he had no choice this time. Lisanna was sick, so he needed to get some help from someone.

"Whatever.."

"Great! Now, let's see.. hmm... how about our new student? It seems she's already finished her paper!"

"New student?" Natsu instantly knew who she meant.

"Lucy! Lucy Heartfilia! Can you come over here for a minute?"

Wait!

Slowly, but surely, she made her way over to his desk. "Lucy? I hope its not much trouble, but can you help Natsu since you seem to have completed your work."

"Umm.. sure..."

"Great! I'll just leave you to it while I help the other students."

As soon as the teacher left, Lucy found an unoccupied and pulled up right next to him. Natsu didn't say a word to her. In fact, he didn't even look at her. She did the same and looked down at the floor nervously.

Well, this is super awkward..

For a few minutes, things between them were strangely quiet, minus the chatter around them, because neither one of them knew what to say. It was awkward to say the least. Finally, after sitting there without saying a word for more than then minutes, Natsu looked up from his blank math sheet and spoke to her.

"Look, Lucy.."

"H-huh?"

"I know how weird this must be making you, and.. I'm sorry."

S-sorry?

He's actually saying sorry?

But for what exactly?

"W-what? What are you sorry for?"

He sighed and look away from her with an annoyed, but flustered look on his face. "Just.. everything. This morning, even though it was Gray's fault, in the elevator, during art class for not at least apologizing for what happened earlier... and.. what I did to you when we were kids. I'm.. really sorry I bullied you like that.. and if you don't want to help me right now that's completely understandable.

I know you probably hate me or something, and you probably feel really uncomfortable even being around me. And that's completely okay, because I understand. I was this complete asshole to you when we were little, and I-"

Natsu went on and on without realizing it, so he didn't notice Lucy as she started to smile to herself.

He actually does feel sorry for what he did to me, so much so that he's not even making sense to me anymore..

I can't hold it against him any longer.. not after what he said.

How sorry he looks..

How hot he looks..

I meant honest!

"Natsu!"

"W-what?" He stopped talking at once and looked at her questioningly. "Is something the matter? Did I say something wrong?"

What's wrong with me?

I can't even talk to her without messing up my words!

"You.." Lucy looked down at her lap and then shook her head. "You don't have to apologize so much, because.. I forgive you."

"R-really!?"

She nodded and gave him a smile that created a very strange feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Yeah.. you seem really genuine about it, so why not? Let's start fresh, if that's alright with you."

"Yeah, fresh." He grinned right back at her and made her blush.

"Great.. so do you still want my help?"

"Hell yeah! I don't know what the hell I'm doing. It's all Greek to me!" He nodded eagerly with a desperate look on his face that made her laugh again.

"Natsu, language!" The teacher warned him.

He only rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at her once she had her back turned. Lucy couldn't help but to giggle before she scooted just a bit closer to him so that she could help him.

He may still like to joke around..

But at least he's not like he was back then.

However, I could be wrong..

"Okay, so what has you stumped exactly?" The only thing on his paper was his name.

"It's not exactly what has me stumped..." Natsu took a look at his paper, and it gave him an immediate headache. "It's everything on this paper! I remember when math used to be sooooo simple.. now we gotta add the alphabet, long, complicated formulas, and weird ass rules you have to remember! I wont use any of this in real life.."

Lucy laughed and took the paper from him. "Haha, well, I see your point, but in order to graduate, you have to take it and pass. But it's really simple to pick up on once you get the hang of it. See, the first thing you should do is..."

Well, I never would I have thought that I would be helping Natsu with math as my last class of the day.

After all the embarrassing things that have happened to me so far..

I wonder what's in store for me next!

End. (Mistakes and ect. will be corrected later on.)

Yeah, I know this chapter is kinda long, and it kinda seems like my brain just barfed on the screen, but I just wanted to give you guys a basic look at her school life, as well as some sweet and funny moments.

Also, I have some good news! I have started drawing Lucy and other characters to show what they look like in the story. And I will probably draw some scenes from the story as well. For now, there is story cover and Lucy's profile are uploaded on my deviantart page, but hopefully, I'll have time to do more. If you would like to see them, my name is the same on there as here, [TextMessage].

Although I have drawn more Sonic related art, I hope I can do well in drawing this story onto a white canvas, so I hope you guys enjoy it and the story. That's all for now! :)

~Reviews, comments, favorites, and everything else is always appreciated!~ :)

Bye!
