OK so not so permanent Hiatus

So on to chapter 5

Heero returned home to near chaos but merely shook his head, Garurumon could handle it better than him. He needed to talk to Wufei about the digimon, and the Bio-emerges that were getting more common. He had a feeling that Wufei would become a tamer if he ever got a deck of cards. Heero walked to where he had left Wufei only to find him gone.

Returning to the chaos Heero looked for Hopmon, who had become the unofficial leader of the in-training Digimon, to ask where Wufei had gone only to find that Hopmon was not among the chaos. In fact it seemed that Hopmon's disappearance was the cause of the chaos. Once all of thee in-training Digimon were calmed down, Heero asked if anyone knew where Hopmon had gone, Wufei could take care of himself no worry there. It was Tokomon who provided the answer to where Hopmon went. The shy Digimon told Heero that Hopmon had left shortly after Wufei had, and that Hopmon seemed to have some sort of connection to him. Heero and Garurumon exchanged a glance and nodded to each other. There would be another tamer by the end of the day no doubt about that.

- With Wufei after he left the house-

Wufei walked around town for a few minutes before he found himself standing outside of a game store advertising the Digimon card game. Remembering Heero's report about how he got his digivice, Wufei went inside to get a starter deck so he could investigate the cards himself. Most of Heero's original deck had been scrapped to create the deck he used to help Garurumon in battle, only a few non helpful cards could actually be located in Heero's house due to the in-training Digimon stealing them.

After buying a starter deck and a card reader he walked to a nearby park to examine his purchases. Wufei found a secluded spot and sat down to look at the deck. He already knew the basics of the game, Heero, as always, had been though in his report. Going through the deck he noticed that two of the cards were stuck together. Carefully pulling them apart, Wufei looked at the two cards one was a D power card, the other was a Monodramon, a Dragon type that was purple in coloration with a few gold highlights. Looking back at the D power card Wufei was shocked to find himself holding a blue card.

The card looked exactly as Heero described it, like Wufei doubted Heero got the look wrong, it had a pixelated D with what looked like a dinosaur coming out of it, on it and a bar that meant it could be read by a card reader. Knowing what would happen, he swiped the card through the card reader sitting beside him. Wufei watched as his scanner changed shape and took the shape of the D power that the card was originally. The device was different from Heero's due to the color scheme, the body of the Device was red, while the strap was green, the ring that surrounded the screen was gold completing the look, it was also lacking a picture on the back. The device actually reminded Wufei of his Gundams color scheme. Deciding that he should ask Heero about it Wufei got to his feet and began the walk back to the house, clipping the digivice to his sash as he went.

As he exited the park the digivice went off alerting Wufei to a bio-emergence nearby. Wufei took his digivice off his sash and followed the arrow that appeared and seemed to act like a compass. It only took Wufei two minutes to reach the bio-emergence, and another 30 seconds to enter it and break through the natural fog barrier. Unknown to Wufei, Hopmon had followed him into the bio-emergence, having only found Wufei shortly before.

As Wufei emerged on the other side of the fog he saw what appeared to be a small black dinosaur that only came up to his waist. Wufei could tell immediately that this was one of the digimon who had lost all semblance of intelligence as it turned towards him and growled before gathering a bunch of flames in its mouth ready to fire them off. The attack missed as two things happened simultaneously, Wufei dodged to the left and pulled his gun at the same time that something collided with the digimon's head. The second that the object that collided with the digimon's head was out of the way Wufei shot at the monster. The shot hit the dinosaur in the snout and made it back away in pain. The digivice beeped and brought up a holographic picture of the Digimon in front of him. The digivice identified the beast as a BlackAgumon who was a virus type digimon, it had two attacks, pepper breath and spitfire.

Nodding to himself, Wufei looked in the direction of the object that had thrown off the BlackAgumon's shot and saw Hopmon off to the side. Carefully, so as not to attract the other Digimon's attention, Wufei moved so that he was beside Hopmon.

Wufei hissed "What are you doing here?"

Hopmon Blinked "I don't know. I felt like I was drawn he...re. OH! This is just like what Garurumon felt like before he became bonded to Heero."

"So your tamer is nearby?"

"Ya they probably have their digivice already."

" Hopmon, I have a digivice."

"Oh"

"Ya"

Then the time for talk was over as the BlackAgumon attacked once more. It haphazardly charged at the duo. They jumped out of the way before they attacked once more. This time Wufei shot at the BlackAgumon's legs while hopmon released an attack called Hip Hop. Wufei raised an eyebrow at the name but said nothing. They only had to hold the rogue digimon off until Heero and Garurumon arrived to finish it. They would worry about the Digivice/Partner thing after the battle. Suddenly the BlackAgumon fired a pepper breath at Wufei to fast for him to completely doge. Then Hopmon ran into him sending Wufei to the ground before Hopmon was hit by the attack. However instead of being hit Hopmon began to glow and change shape.

HOPMON DIGIVOLVE TO…

As hopmon changed shape Wufei could recognize some of the features he took on. Such as the horn that grew out of the top of his head.

… MONODRAMON!

Wufei blinked at the small bipedal dragon now standing in front of him. Now he knew where He recognized the shape from it was the Digimon off the card that was stuck to the one that gave him his Digivice. Suddenly Monodramon tackled Wufei to the ground just as a blue colored flame thrower arched over his head. Wufei turned in time to see Garurumon leap over his head with Heero on his back. The flame hit true and the BlackAgumon disintegrated into red data. Heero and Garurumon turned toward Wufei and Monodramon and Heero smirked at the other two.

"So you finally got your Digivice Wufei." Heero said "I would suggest getting together with Monodramon and working on your battle deck together."

Wufei blinked "You knew this was going to happen didn't you?"

"Not completely, however I suspect that if the others decide to come the other in training digimon would go to them."

"What makes you think that?"

" I could see the similarities between you and Monodramon back when he was Hopmon. When he vanished from the house after you did I knew that he had followed you."

"Why do you think that we are partners?"

Heero smirked, "Look at the back of your Digivice. It was blank when you got it but now there is a picture of a dragon on it."

Wufei blinked and looked at the Digivice Heero was right. "How did ..."

"When Monodramon got you out of the way of Garurumon's Howling blaster he touched your digivice and linked with it. The same thing happened to me and Garurumon."

The digital field thinned around them before disappearing completely. Heero looked around and saw a crowd beging to form, "Let's get back to the house, we need to talk and some things should not be discussed where young ears can hear."

Wufei nodded also noticing the crowd, "Are you going to contact the others?"

Heero placed a hand on Garurumon's back and shook his head, "I don't think so. I'll explain back at the house. Come On we'll give you a lift."

Wufei nodded again and climbed on Garurumon's back behind Heero with Monodramon behind him. Once everyone was on Garurumon took off towards Heero's home.

And cut im not actually sure if this chapter is longer than the one before… ehh oh well this is probably going to be the last chapter of Digital soldier. Just because I keep forgetting about it… still if you want to adopt the story please let me know and I can give you the notes I have.
