Chapter 8: The Return, Part 3

Group 2

A few super soldiers went down by an energy blast from a weapon attached to a P-90, currently being held by a crazy Colonel. Mitchell lead the group down the dimly lit corridor, past the dead warriors and to a door. Jackson pressed a button on a control panel next to the door, opening the door into the Control Room. Consoles and terminals lined was scattered throughout the room.

"This is it." Mitchell declared as they entered the room.

"What else could it be?" Jackson asked.

"Got a point there, Jackson." Mitchell replied.

"Ok," Reynolds said. "We may not have much time, so make it fast."

"I'm on it." Jackson said as he went over to the terminals.

"Hey, Wade. Give Jackson a hand." Mitchell ordered. "He's gonna need your help with understanding the technical part."

Jackson would have been annoyed by that last statement, but it the technical part is what he never truly understood.

"I'm on it." Wade complied and gave Jackson a hand.

"While Daniel Jackson and Wade Load search for the information that we seek," Teal'c said. "We should contact O'Neill."

"That is a good idea." Mitchell said. "Maybe he found Carter and the others."

"And it should give us a timetable on how long we have." Major Bosworth said.

Group 3

Alarms start blaring after O'Neill, Tara and Morrison felt the effects of an explosion.

"Get out of the corridor!" Tara shouted, jumping behind an alcove.

O'Neill didn't hear it just as a warning, but he heard her voice filled with a sense of dread. It wasn't long until the corridors started to be filled with Super Soldiers and O'Neill hid behind an alcove along with Morrison.

"I would love to thank the one that just had to set off the alarm." O'Neill sarcastically said as he starting firing.

"If we get out of here alive, I would too." Tara said, firing at the soldiers.

"How did you know, Captain?" Morrison called out, over the noise.

"Later." Tara called over, while she just kept firing.

O'Neill kept firing, and somehow heard his radio over the noise. "General." O'Neill heard Mitchell's voice.

Grabbing the radio, he held the talk button. "What?" O'Neill shouted into the radio, due to the noise.

Group 2

"What?" Mitchell heard O'Neill over the radio.

"Sir, we found the Control Room and started digging for information." Mitchell said.

"Well, that's very nice." O'Neill's voice came through the radio. "Is there anything else?"

Mitchell heard the noise of weapons fire, then pressed the talk button. "Sir, are you in any immediate danger?"

"No Colonel, but we are getting shot at." O'Neill replied.

Jackson heard O'Neill's response and just rolled his eyes. Mitchell's eyes darted over to the console, without any real idea of what he was looking at. "Teal'c, is that what I think is it?"

Teal'c looked toward the console. "It is, in fact, controls to the automated doors."

Group 3

O'Neill taking out two soldiers, but more just kept coming. "This is a really bad . . ." O'Neill stopped when the doors closed, keeping the soldiers from coming. O'Neill stepped out and walked over to the closed door, to make sure it was sealed. "Mitchell, was that you?"

"No, that was Teal'c." Mitchell replied.

"Oh. Well is there another way around?" O'Neill asked. "We need to get where an explosive charge would make the biggest impact. We're currently on the fourth level and in section thirteen."

O'Neill, Morrison and Tara had waited for a while for a response. They didn't have to wait long before a door opened to the side. They entered into another corridor.

"Just keep going down the hallway and make the first right." Mitchell's voice came from the radio. "After that, go past the first two turns, and take the third."

O'Neill lead his group through the corridors, while following Mitchell's directions, until they came to the last piece of directions.

"Mitchell, we've got a problem here." O'Neill said, holding the talk button on his radio.

"What?" Came Mitchell's voice.

"Well, first of all, the directions you gave us are terrible. And second," O'Neill said, staring at a blank wall, directly in front of him. "There is no third turn."

Group 2

"Huh?" Mitchell wondered as he looked at the map that Teal'c had brought up earlier. Then he saw the problem. "Sorry, sir. I think that I was looking at the wrong place."

"Really?" O'Neill sounded a little annoyed. "Well, can you find another route for us?"

Mitchell and Teal'c studied the map. For some reason the Life Signs Detector in the Control Room wasn't working, so they had to guess where O'Neill was. They kept looking at the map, until they saw what appeared to be the location of where O'Neill claimed to be.

"If we're reading this correctly, sir. Go back to the pervious turn off, and go left. Go down the corridor and make the second right. You should come to two doors. One of them should lead you into a.." Mitchell looked at the map, unable to determine what the room was called. "Yeah, I don't know what it's called, but the place should make for a rather large explosion. With the chances of some secondary explosions."

Group 3

"You better be reading it correctly, Colonel." O'Neill said, going back to the previous turn off, then continued down the corridor, with Tara and Morrison right behind.

O'Neill and his group came down the corridor for nearly thirty meters before they came to two doors. O'Neill reached out to pressed a button on the control panel next to the left side of the door, when Tara quickly said. "Not that door."

"Why not?" O'Neill asked when he pressed the button. His answer came when the door opened, and the room was full of super soldiers.

'That's why, but how did she know' O'Neill thought to himself, then quickly spoke out loud. "Sorry to bother you folks," O'Neill said. "But are you interested in some delicious pixie muffins?"

O'Neill was immediately answered by a barrage of weapons fire from the super soldiers. O'Neill jumped out of the way. "They can't be that bad." O'Neill shouted.

Tara had already gotten out of the way, but Morrison was struck in the shoulder, just as he was moving to get out of the way, falling to the ground. O"Neill quickly pressed the button to close the door. When the door was closed, O'Neill fired at the control panel with his P-90, destroying the panel.

"Let's try the other door instead." O'Neill then went to check on Morrison. "You alright?"

Morrison gritted his teeth at the pain, but was otherwise fine. "I'll be fine, sir." He said, holding his wound.

O'Neill pulled Morrison to his feet, then proceed with a question. "How did you know about that room, Hawkins?"

Tara started to answer, but just left her mouth hanging open. "I, I don't know. It just felt strange." She responded with uncertainly, with the expression that confirmed the tone of her voice. "I actually felt the presence of a lot of people in that room."

"What, you have spidey-sense now?" O'Neill asked, but Tara couldn't tell if he was joking or serious. "Is this the new thing? How long have you had this?"

Tara shrugged, shaking her head. "I don't know. The first time any of this happened, was about a year after High School."

"Care to explain?" O'Neill inquired.

"Yes." Tara said, then paused for effect. "After we get back to Earth."

O'Neill thought for a moment, casually shrugged, then opened the other door. They entered into a rather large room filled with terminals, and several stacks of containers, piled throughout the room, with a small circle in the center of the room. A ring transporter.

"Ok." O'Neill started. "Mitchell said that this place should make one large explosion, so Captain, get on it."

"Yes, sir." Tara went over to a terminal and got into the database.

"How can you cause an explosion from a terminal?" Morrison asked.

"Like I said, sir. I work with." Tara paused for a split second. "Distinctive explosives." She replied, without turning back.

"While she's doing her thing, I want to know what's inside these containers." O'Neill said, opening a container. Inside held many bars, of a silverish color. They were all held by a strap, to keep them from moving around. "It that what I think it is?" O'Neill asked.

"Naquadah." Morrison responded, sounding somewhat excited. "Refined weapons grade."

"Oh." O'Neill said. "I was thinking of something else." He then looked over at the Ring Transporter, then back to Morrison. "I've got an idea."

Group 2

Mitchell, Teal'c and Reynolds stood next to the door, keeping watch, taking out every super soldier that came near and attempted to enter.

Jackson and Wade were busy at a terminal, trying to find any information, without success. Everything they found that could possibly be of any use, ended up being completely useless.

"This is getting us nowhere." Jackson said. "I mean, this doesn't make any sense."

"What's wrong?" Reynolds asked.

"Well, we have bad news and, well . . . actually, just bad news." Jackson admitted.

"There isn't any information we could use, is there?" Mitchell asked.

"Not that I could find." Jackson said, still looking.

Bosworth walked over to Jackson. "If there isn't anything, then we better get going, Doctor."

"I agree." Reynolds said, and was about to leave the room.

"I…the…but…!" Jackson stutters, while Bosworth grabs his shoulder, and starts to pull him away, but Jackson's hand falls and hits a button on the console, pulling up a different screen. "Wait a second." Jackson pushes Bosworth's hand and takes a look at the screen. "Here we go."

Everyone stopped where they were, while Mitchell perked up as Jackson sound excited. "What?"

"What we were looking for." Jackson announced, excited.

"Everything he's planning?" Mooney asked.

Jackson didn't answer for nearly a minute. "I believe so." He said as he continued to read.

"Great." Mitchell said with enthusiasm, turning toward Reynolds, then back to Jackson. "Now all we have to do is . . . "

"Uh-oh!" Jackson said, sounding a little worried.

"I never did like the sound of that." Mitchell said to no one in particular.

"What is wrong Daniel Jackson?" Teal'c asked, stoically.

"Tell Jack to make sure that there is nothing left of this base." Jackson said, sounding more worried then he ever sounded. "This is worse then what we thought."

"How much worse can it be?" Mitchell asked, then immediately regretted those words with Daniel's next words.

"It doesn't say exactly say everything he's planning, from what's here," Jackson turned away from the console and toward his companions. "It maybe worse then the Ori. Much worse."

Group 1

"Stop letting the ship get hit." Kim shouted at the pilot, as the Jumper rocked from a hit. Thanks to Carter, the cloak was converted into a shield, before the weapon's fire stuck the Jumper, keeping them from being destroyed. Unfortunately for them, the one hit, severely damaged the shields.

"I'm not doing it on purpose, Possible!" Bonnie yelled back.

"Could have fooled me." Kim said.

Bonnie piloted the Jumper down and into a canyon, with the three fighters right behind. Bonnie fired off three more drones, but at once. All three drones surged unerringly, and jerked back and went flying toward the lead fighter. It made a direct hit, causing some more damage, but still not enough to destroy it.

With Bonnie losing her options, she spotted a pillar of rock. "I've got an idea." She said, firing another drone at the pillar, knocking it down. Bonnie flew low, under the pillar, while the lead fighter followed, without realizing what he was doing. The pillar struck the ship with enough force, smashing it to the bottom of the canyon, destroying it.

"One down, two to go." Bonnie said with relief, but not too much relief.

"We should activate the cloak." Kim said, her voice a little loud.

"We can't because that one hit nearly took out the shields. It's not possible to convert the shields to a cloak, at this time." Carter replied, looking over the readouts in the rear section of the ship, through a computer tablet. "And if I'm reading this correctly, any more significant damage and the power source will overload, and the jumper will explode."

"I did not need to hear that!" Bonnie shouted as she flew the ship under a rock ledge that went on for miles.

Looking around, Bonnie spotted a cave, very carefully hidden within the shadows. Without a second thought, Bonnie flew the Jumper into the cave, with the windshield looking out to the cave entrance. Bonnie landed the jumper on the ground, and shut all power down. It wasn't long before the remaining fighters flew right past the cave, without even a second thought from the pilots.

No one moved or spoke for minutes. For nearly five minutes, they expected the fighters to come right back, find them, and destroy them.

Without as much as a sign of them returning, they begin to breath easier. "Let's get out of here." Kim suggested.

Bonnie shook her head quickly, almost immediately. "I'm good. We're staying right here."

"If we don't go and they come back and find us, then they will destroy us." Kim sternly said.

"And if we go, they will definitely find us, and blast us out of the sky." Bonnie shouted back.

Carter groaned, her face pressing into her palm, like she had a rather large headache. "Now I know how he feels."

"What do you mean by that?" Bonnie demanded, turning to Carter. "And who are you talking about?"

"It doesn't matter." Carter said, attempting not to tell Bonnie why. "And if we're going to stay here, then some repairs need to be done." Carter then started on the repairs. "And if General O'Neill contacts us, then we leave."

Bonnie had mixed feelings about that. For one, she didn't want to go out, with the possibility of getting blasted out of the sky when she least expected. However, they would also get away from those who are trying to destroy them.

Bonnie sat back into the seat. "Fine." She grudgingly agreed.

Group 3

O'Neill had finished moving a container onto the Ring Platform before backing away, as Morrison put another charge of C4, which Tara had enhanced, on the container. Tara's enhancements increased the explosive power by 15 percent. Morrison then backed away as O'Neill activated the rings and the container was transported to another section of the compound.

"That's the last of it," O'Neill said.

"Good." Tara said. "I'm locking out the rings. That way, no one can use them." Tara then proceeds to press a few buttons on the console, along with a few extra buttons. "I'm also disabling all safety protocols. The power source will overheat, and we will have half an hour to get out before it explodes."

"And with all that Naquadah spread around, we should make one nice explosion." Morrison said.

"Great. Let's get go . . . " O'Neill started, but he heard his radio, with Mitchell's voice.

"Sir, Jackson found something and says that nothing of this place should be left standing." Mitchell informed his superior through the radio.

Morrison looked over at Tara after hearing Mitchell. "With what we did, will that be enough?"

Tara decided to humor him. "Ever seen a fifty-kiloton nuclear explosion?"

"I have." Tara and Morrison turned at O'Neill, not sure what to think or say to his calm reply. "Not up close." O'Neill said, then grabbed his radio and spoke into it. "Tell Daniel that there . . . "

Group 2

". . . will be nothing left of this place." They all heard O'Neill's voice.

Even though Daniel had heard it that didn't make him feel any better.

"But we better get out of here. We have about," There was a slight pause, before O'Neill finished. "Thirty minutes before this place goes up." O'Neill said.

"We copy that, sir." Mitchell directed everyone toward the door. "You heard the man. Let's move." After that, they quickly left the room, and headed down the hall.

Group 1

Carter was currently repairing the Jumper as best as she could, while Bonnie kept watch, a little fearful that the two fighters would come back, and blast them away. Kim, however, was helping Carter as best as she could, but the science was way over her. She didn't even know what Carter was talking about, but thought that she should learn, since she was going on off-world missions.

The Jumper was filled with silence, until static came from the radio, followed by O'Neill's voice. "Carter. We're on our way. Prep the Jumper."

Carter grabbed the radio and pressed the talk button. "So you know that Major Rockwaller has the ATA gene?"

"Who?" Came O'Neill's voice.

Kim grabbed the radio from Carter. "You know. Brown hair. About as tall as me. Never in a good mood. Never with a smile, unless her ego expounds." There was no response to what Kim said. "You rescued us."

"Yeah, I . . . remember her." O'Neill's voice came in, slowly. "Caelus said that she had that gene. He also said that she is really annoying, too."

Kim saw Bonnie look rather annoyed, out of the corner of her eye. She enjoyed that little comment, but turned back to the radio. "Caelus? Who is that?"

"Just someone that is ascended that tried to warn us about your capture." O'Neill responded. "But his timing was off. There was other stuff, but that will have to wait. We have less then thirty minutes before this place blows."

Carter quickly retrieved the radio. "Yeah, about that sir. We've got a problem. We were attacked by fighters, and we had to go into hiding,"

"Great, and to think this day couldn't get much worse." O'Neill said. "There better not be anything else wrong, especially with my ship."

Carter, Kim and Bonnie exchanged concerned looks. They were attacked, taking much damaged. The condition of the outward appearance, was still unknown. If there was any noticeable damage, then who knows how O'Neill will react.

"We'll meet you soon. Carter out." Carter quickly shut off the radio before O'Neill could say anything.

"That was a close one." Kim sighed with relief.

"Yeah, but it will only last until he sees the Jumper." Carter grimaced. "Major, let's get going."

"Is the cloak working?" Bonnie asked.

Carter looked back at the Computer Tablet, then frowned. Carter had no choice but to disable the shields, to keep the Jumper's power source from being depleted. "If we use it, then we may not have enough power to make a hyperspace jump. We're going to have to risk without it."

"Great." Bonnie groaned. "Well, let's get this over with. Maybe we would have the possibility of getting blasted out of the sky, together."

"Major." Carter said, reproving.

"I'm sorry. I mean, as we escape." Bonnie said. "I don't know how I got those two confused."

Bonnie got a firm grip on the control stick and the console sprang to life. The jumper flew out of the cave, and out from under the bridge and onwards toward the outpost.

Group 3

O'Neill and his small team had to move swiftly through the corridors. With the rings locked out, being in the center of the complex, and less then thirty minutes, they had to hurry, very quickly.

Unfortunately for them, they had to backtrack, due to some doors closing before they got to them. Along with the power being cut from the controls to the door. They also had to deal with a lot of super soldiers that just kept coming. Luckily Tara had sensed them, and they were able to keep from being blasted.

Time was slowly dwindling, and they had only ten minutes, before they entered a corridor, with two other ways. Coming out of one of the corridors, was Mitchell and his group.

"Mitchell. Reynolds." O'Neill called out.

"Sir." Reynolds said.

"We were afraid that you weren't going to make it." Mitchell said.

"Yes, well, I couldn't leave you folks with all the glory." O'Neill responded.

Daniel then approached the General and spoke. "Jack. I still want you to confirm that there will be nothing left of this place." Jackson pleaded.

"I guarantee that there will be nothing left, Daniel." Tara said, interjecting before O'Neill said anything.

"And if you're still not satisfied, Daniel, then you can always stay in here, and wait until the big bang." O'Neill suggested, but Daniel declined. "Great! Carter and the others are waiting in the Jumper. So we better leave."

O'Neill lead the group down the only corridor that no one came from. One that lead to a door, O'Neill recognized that he been blown with six blocks of C4. O'Neill and his group had gotten out of the outpost, and several yards away until they reached an empty field.

O'Neill checked the timer on his watch. "We've got eight minutes before this place goes." O'Neill looked around, at the sky. "Where's the Jumper?"

"Why would any one of them move the Jumper?" Bosworth asked.

"Because they were attacked." Morrison replied.

"Over there!" Tara pointed toward the sky.

Sure enough, the Jumper came in from the west, and prepared for a landing. When O'Neill got a look at it, there were signs that the ship had taken damage. When the ship touched down, the rear hatch opened up, with Carter standing at the entrance.

O'Neill stopped on the ramp. "Carter. What happened to my ship?"

"Do you really want to know?" Kim asked, coming from the forward section.

O'Neill thought for a moment, then answered. "Not anymore." O'Neill move to board, but stopped. "You wouldn't happen to know who set off the alarm, would you?"

Bonnie was about to say something, but Carter quickly intervened. "That mystery baffles me, sir."

O'Neill did a double-take. He couldn't tell, but he thought Carter lied, but decided not to proceed any farther. After boarding, with everyone else right behind him. Carter closed the rear hatch, while O'Neill headed straight to the cockpit, and to the pilot's seat.

"Not bad for your first flight with the Jumper." O'Neill complemented. "Now give it back."

Bonnie got to her feet and said. "Have at it, sir." Then moved to the co-pilot's seat

"Alright folks." O'Neill said, taking a seat. "This is your captain speaking. All chairs and seats back into your upright and locked positions."

The jumper lifted up and soared into the sky. O'Neill flew the jumper into some dense clouds. They were almost out of this mess, and felt that nothing could go wrong. But they were wrong.

Everything started with Tara holding her head, due to a slight headache. Kim placed a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Are you alright?"

Tara shook her head. "This isn't the first time it's ha . . . " She stopped and raised her head. "General, they're locking onto us!"

"What makes you so sure?" Bonnie asked.

O'Neill, having experienced more bizarre things throughout the years at Stargate Command, disregarded Bonnie's comment and jerked the jumper to the left, barely avoiding the two red bolts of an energy weapon, which barely skimmed the lower part of the Jumper's hull.

Bonnie and Kim turned to Tara. "How did you know?" They both tried to ask at the same time.

Tara responded with uncertainly. "It's . . . kind of hard . . . to explain. I don't even understand . . . how I can do it."

The Jumper was swerving, to avoid being struck by enemy fire. The two original fighters flew out of the clouds and pursued the Jumper, firing. Two blasts of an energy weapon skimmed both sides of the hull, causing the Jumper to shake a little.

The Weapon's Pod opened, and two drones flew out. They were jerked backwards and rammed into the two fighters.

"At least they are . . ." O'Neill stopped speaking when the H.U.D. appeared. Readouts appeared, superimposed over the front windshield, along with two dots, moving in on them. "Oh, for crying out loud! What's going on?"

"Their shields are more advance that not even three drones have any effect on one." Carter said.

O'Neill stopped, then turned his head toward Carter. "I'm sorry, Carter, but I think you failed to mentioned that."

"It doesn't matter." Morrison said. "We just need to get out of here with the Intel we've gathered."

"Left!" Tara called out, to which O'Neill swerved the Jumper to the left, which the energy blasts completely over shot the Jumper.

The Jumper flew through the atmosphere, with the fighters in hot pursuit, then soon enough was clear from the planet.

"I think our field trip is over." O'Neill said, then started to active the hyperdrive, only for nothing to happen. Alarmed, O'Neill tried again, only for the same results.

"What are you waiting, sir?" Mitchell impatiently asked.

"Get us out of here." Kim shouted.

"Actually, we've got a little problem here." O'Neill's voice sounded with alarm.

"What makes you so sure?" Kim asked.

On cue, a humming sound came from the power source as power throughout the Jumper dies, leaving them dead in space.

O'Neill then paused for effect, despite the circumstance. "Call it a hunch." He said. "Carter!"

Carter didn't even wait for O'Neill, before she went to check the Computer Tablet to ascertain what happened and where all that power went off to. It didn't take long to discover what happened.

"I found the problem." Carter said. "As we were being shot at, the Jumper got grazed by the weapon's fire. An energy blast skimmed past the hull, and unfortunately, it also damaged the conduit, sending power to Drive Pod. Not enough power was being supplied to the Drive Pod."

"So the power output was increased to supply enough power to the engines." Wade said, when he caught onto what Carter said.

"Is there anything we can do?" Mitchell asked.

Carter grimaced, nodding in response. "I'm sorry. I don't think we'll get out of this one."

The two fighters closed in on the jumper and locked on target. When their target was locked on, they opened fire. The energy weapon struck the Jumper, and it exploded in a brilliant light.

-Poseidon - Bridge-

O'Neill, along with SG's 1, 3 and 27, appeared from a bright light on the bridge of the Poseidon standing upright, appears in the center of the bridge. SG-27 stare at their new surroundings in shock, unsure of what just happened.

"Where are we?" Kim asked.

"You were beamed over to the Poseidon, Possible." Came a tough miliary sounding voice.

Kim, along with Bonnie, Tara and Wade flinched, before turning around. Barkin stood, and took a few steps.

"Barkin?" Bonnie asked with confusion. "What are you doing here?"

"Saving all of you. And that's sir to you, Major." Barkin said, in what could only be interpreted to be a threatening tone, to which Bonnie saluted, looking fearful.

"Actually, she raises a valid question." Jackson spoke up. "What are you doing here?" Daniel asked, looking around. "And without a crew?"

"That's a long story, Dr. Jackson." Barkin replied.

O'Neill finally noticed that there was no one else on the bridge. "Barkin. I'm surprised that Landry sanctioned such a crazy rescue mission. Especially with our new ship."

"That was the problem, O'Neill." Barkin said. "But we did get here in time."

"Yes you..." Jackson stopped, then changed his next words. "I'm sorry but 'we'?"

Barkin looked behind him, but no one else was there. He then turned back to the crew. Reynold and his team had taken up a position around the bridge.

"You would better know him as Caelus." Barkin replied, stoically turning back.

"Was wondering when he'd show up." O'Neill casually said.

"What did he do?" Jackson inquired.

"He took this ship and me, before coming here." Barkin responded.

"He stole this?" Bonnie exclaimed. "Wait a second. How did he steal it?"

"He never did tell me how." Barkin said. "Just how important it was that we rescue you."

"I think I know how." O'Neill said.

"Know what?" Bonnie asked.

"Caelus is an ascended being." O'Neill started, but Daniel cut in.

"Which means that if he took this ship, then he most likely retook human form." Jackson finished. "But why would an ancient retake human form?"

"Well, we'll find out, right Kim?" Tara asked, but didn't get a response. Tara turned to Kim, only to see her face frozen with shock, mouth slightly opened. "Kim?" Tara waved her hand in front of Kim's face, trying to get her attention. "You alright?"

"Ah, T-Tara." Wade stuttered, sounding VERY shocked.

"What?" Tara asked, then looked to where Wade was looking, and let out a shriek when she saw what had Kim frozen with shock, along with Bonnie and Wade.

Standing just inside the Bridge, was a man in an SGC uniform, with the exception of the patches, and the whitest hair they had ever seen. He also had chocolate brown eyes, freckles and even though he looked older, he was similar with the facial appearance, of a long forgotten friend.

He raised a hand and as if to say hi, before speaking. "H-Hey, guys. Long time no . . . " He didn't get the chance to finish, before Kim's eyes rolled into her head and she fainted. He winced when Kim hit the ground. "I had precognitive abilities. I saw the future. Why am I surprised?"

Bonnie, who was less shocked them the others, spoke. "Because you've been dead for twelve years, Stoppable! You are suppose to be dead."

"Still, why am I surprised?" Ron complained, then noticed that several weapons was aimed at him. "You can't be serious?"

"Sorry, but we can't be sure of what your intentions are?" Reynolds said.

"Or who you really are?" Bonnie added. "You can't be Ron Stoppable. He is dead."

"It's me Ron. And I will not harm you." Ron said in a kind tone.

"Can you prove it?" Bonnie asked.

Ron's demeanor changes to a slightly annoyed expression, the same went for his tone. "Look, the fact that you're still talking, walking and breathing and all, kinda speaks for itself, don't you think?"

O'Neill had chewed on Ron's response for a moment, before speaking. "He's got a point there. Lower your weapons everyone."

While the weapons were being lowered, Tara and Wade carefully walked up to Ron, but he paid them no mind, as he looked rather concerned. No one knew what Ron was looking for, and they didn't like the expression he had.

Ron's eyes went right to Daniel. "Pardon me for saying this, Daniel, but why are you here?"

Jackson didn't understand what Ron was talking about. "What do you mean?"

"Your life was in danger." Ron stopped when he realized that one person was missing. "Where's Vala?"

"She was taken." Jackson responded.

"Why?" Ron asked, his voice raising.

"I don't know. The computer never had that information." Daniel retorted. "Why was my life in danger?"

"If you are here, then it doesn't matter." Ron shouted, but he didn't wanted to sound angry.

"But what is going on?" Carter asked.

Ron didn't have the chance to answer when the ship rocked slightly from a blast. Carter quickly went to check sensors, to find out what's what.

"We've got two fighters, inbound." Carter announced

"Don't those guys ever learn?" Mitchell asked, not really to anyone.

"They're the bad guys!" O'Neill responded. "What do you expect them to do? Drop by to say 'Hi, we're sorry for destroying you ship. Can we replace it for you?', then just leave?"

"Rockwaller, Bosworth." Reynolds shouted over to them. "Take Possible to the Infirmary. We'll take care of everything else."

Bonnie and Bosworth quickly picked up Kim and took her off the bridge, while everyone took up positions around the bridge, with Ron getting into the Weapon's Control, setting up the weapons.

"Ron, what are you doing?" Tara asked.

Ron didn't respond, but went on to activate the weapon systems. Targeting the fighters, Ron opened fire. From the sensors, Carter watched at both fighters exploded. Carter was going to inquire of Ron about the fighter, only to stop when another ship appear on sensors.

"We've got another ship, approaching." Carter said. "And it's closing in."

"What say we get out of here?" O'Neill suggested.

"I agree." Tara replied.

"At least you set the base to explode." Ron said, gaining the attention of everyone on the bridge.

Tara slowly turned to face Ron. "How did you know?"

Ron just casually shrugged. "I have my way. I just hope you didn't . . ." Ron's eyes widen with dread, as he turned to Tara, very quickly. "You did!"

Confused, Tara asked. "Did what?"

Ron's response was postponed with the Poseidon was struck on enemy fire.

Jackson checked the status of the shields. "Shields down to 57 percent!"

"How is that possible?" Carter called over. "They're supposed to be more powerful then Asgard shields."

"Never mind." Ron shouted, pressing a few buttons. "We're getting out of here before the explosion." Ron finished, throwing a glare at Tara.

The unknown enemy ship, fired at the Poseidon, but the ship escaped into hyperspace, barely missing the weapon's fire. Moments later, an explosion erupted from the surface, enveloping the region of space.

-Unknown Location-

Vala awoke and found herself in a dark room, laying on a table. She was unable to see anything beyond ten feet. Vala remained groggily for a few moments, until she pulled at her left wrist. She couldn't move it, and pull at it again.

Vala finally got a look at the restrains, holding down her legs and her arms, then groaned. "Not again."

She continued to struggle, but stopped when she heard footsteps coming from behind her. She couldn't see, but the footsteps grew louder, until two people walked in front of her, then turned around, crossing their arms. They were dressed in black robes, with their faces enshrouded in their hoods.

"Hi!" Vala said in a false delighted tone. "Could we hurry this up? I have somewhere to . . . "

"Silence!"

Vala stopped speaking and tried to look again behind her. A third figure came out of the shadows, walked past her and stopped, standing next to the end of the table, without turning his back from her. He was dressed in a similar manner, but a little shorter then the other two.

"Who are you?" Vala asked with slight interest, but didn't really care at all. "And what do you want with me?"

The robed figure turned slightly, showing his side, but not his face. "You are called Vala Mal Doran."

Vala smiled. "That's me."

The hooded man didn't seem amused, but proceeded. He raised his hand, revealing a small disk-like device. "This device will be attached to your mind. It will form a link between your subconscious mind and the computer. Your knowledge will simply be downloaded into our memory banks. You will no doubt resist and you will no doubt fail."

"Well, I don't know about that," Vala casually replied. "But what do you want?"

The cowl partially hides his face of a black sludge as he speaks. "Knowledge that you suppressed, that rests within your subconscious mind. Knowledge that will bring the Tau'ri to their knees, and achieve revenge against the Ancients."
