The sound of Draco's fist hitting Harry's jaw made Draco's face turn to a look of disgust. Not because he was mad at Harry but because he didn't want to hurt him. Harry threw his hand up and clenched his jaw. Harry gave Draco a look to inform him he was fine. Then turned away from Draco and Pansy who had now made it over to them.
"You know what. It's not even worth it Malfoy" Harry said and walked away from them. "Scared, Potter?" Draco yelled to the black haired boy. Harry said nothing and kept walking.
Pansy grabbed Draco's hand to check it for cuts or bruises. He quickly snatched his hand away. "Get off of me Pansy!" He yelled. She opened her mouth shocked he yelled at her. "We'll forgive me for caring that you were hurt. Next time I won't." He sighed " No Pans, wait I'm sorry. It's just you know...Potter brings out the worst in me"
Pansy nodded "I forgive you Draco but only this once. What was Potter even bothering you about this time?"
Draco glanced to the corridor that Harry had walked down. "Oh you know the usual of how all slytherins are evil snakes. Nothing to worry about Pansy. Let's go study."
He picked up a fast pace towards the library with Pansy following close behind him. Draco was worried about Harry. He wanted to know if Harry was truly okay. Draco was tired of pretending they weren't friends. He knew he had to talk to Harry. They needed to figure out a better solution.
Harry was found later that day by Hermione. He hiding in a corner of the common room trying to stay out of sight.
"Harry what happened to your face?" Hermione asked. Harry shook his head. "I provoked a fight. I asked for it. It's fine Hermione. I'm going to go to bed. Tell Ron I said goodnight 'Mione"
Hermione wanted to protest but saw the look of defeat on Harry's face and nodded. She knew how tired he had become with all the rumors going on. She hopes one day things will get better for him.
Harry writes a note down to Draco and has hedwig bring it to him. The note wanted Draco to meet Harry in their secret spot. He needed to talk to Draco as soon as possible. So now he only hoped they could both get away.
