Legends chapter 17

Yay! You get an update. I'm truly sorry for taking forever with the updates I've been crazy busy. Ive got a job now and whenever I'm off I have to do something so I honestly am trying to do stuff it's just hard to get to type. And now that the school year has started I only actually have 2 days off of work, which will be spent on homework but I'm hoping after my shifts I will be able to type at least a bit.

On another note, I am trying to get into some more action and get more into the use of powers and stuff like that. Also, any moves similar to that in Fairy Tail belong to Hiro Mashima. God I hope I spelt his name right. This is the man I both love and despise because he makes my favourite Manga/Anime which I don't get enough chapters/episodes of. But I am going to incorporate some of the Dragon Slayer techniques into this story because the concepts are truly amazing. If you haven't watch Fairy Tail. Go right now and watch it. Screw the story this is a priority. And I have claimed Gray and Gajeel as my favourites. Just saying.

Schoolmouse33 – thank you for that and I'm sorry for the long wait (this applies to everyone since I will say in god knows how many times)

SapphireStarHikari- you get more fluffeh! Cause fluffeh is one of my fetishes! But seriously I love I love fluffy things I don't know why

Promise of the Lost – First thank you for using the proper grammar for if your Pen name were a title. Second. you sir are a genius.

Amy47101- ya I was intending to make him really creepy and I did what I could and that interviewed got cancelled but I did get a different job thankfully, even though my boss hates me.

Pokegirl185 – thank you very much, I hope you continue to like them in the future as well

Manga fan 1101- thank you very much, I'm kinda self-conscious about this stuff just for the fact of I don't really have a second opinion until it is posted

Jayfeather12345- isn't it great. His powers make him way more awesome. And thanks, it was the best thing to wipe Ursala's memory but, you know shit will happen again since it cant just happen once :P

Awolflover2 -he did. He a bad boy. And a bad boy. See what I did there...like a dog and a bad boy...like rebel...I'm a loser. And it does doesn't it, to dense for his own good. And if you haven't found a mallet for Misty yet, hold off a bit I ordered one online and it should be in within 10 chapters.

Normal POV

"See Misty and Ash can pull it off, why can't use the proper amount of wind. If you could do that we could have a sick flame roar." May said crossing her arms while bickering as usual with the Air Dragon Soul.

"Well maybe you should use a stronger flame that won't go out," the green topped male retorted.

The two teens had been trying for a combination attack for that past week. While the others had already completed it with ease, May and Drew hadn't been able to. Overall the teens were making great progress; Leaf, Drew and Misty's Dragons had come and granted them with full power along with Ash soon after. Paul, although had not met the Death Dragon yet, he had trained enough to earn that full power. Gary was left alone only earning three-quarters of his mark and making no progress since then.

"You know, why don't you guys use a different thing other than the roar. I mean Ash and I have started to use "lock and shock" as we call it." Misty suggested as she and the others walked over.

"Wait, you guys came up with something else as well?!" Leaf shouted at Misty in surprise. " We came up with as I call it frozen quake, isn't it cute?" Leaf cheered in excitement. Everyone stared at Leaf as she was not acting like she usually was, avoiding Gary at all costs and neck deep in books. "What?"

Gary, who was behind Leaf during this whole thing, hugged Leaf from behind and covered her ears, "I think she's broken."

Dawn stepped forward to in front of Gary and smiled without a word. In an instant it looked as though Dawn and Leaf switched places. "I'm not broken. I'm right here and I wouldn't let you touch me like that."

"but you were here," Gary looked down as he said it, jumping back as he realized it was Dawn he was holding instead of Leaf. "How?"

"The work of Paul and I." Dawn said jumping back to her opposite. "Since I know Paul won't explain, we know that he can make a still shadow figure but he can make multiple and with the use of physic powers of mine they can move and talk and stuff. But since that is a would make it obvious that there are more I pulled Leaf aside.

"Using Leaf, Paul created a shadow figure around each of us and using my powers I was able to use the power to keep the illusion. What did you guys think?" Dawn said in her regular cheery voice.

"pretty cool, more combination stuff that we can't accomplish. Isn't that right Drew?" May turned her head to her partner for the time being. He raised his hands and went to get some water, ignoring the short haired girl.

"Well it can wait. It's getting late and if we don't head back home soon enough your parents will be pissed." Ash said as he looked to the clock on the gym wall.

"You guys go ahead, it's a Friday so my parents won't mind if I stay back a little bit with grasshead. I want to get at least one combination attack done." May informed the gang.

"You want to see ours for ideas first?" Leaf asked May and Drew, who had returned from grabbing water, agree and stood back as Leaf and Gary prepared to launch a piece of ice and earth for Misty and Ash.

Leaf tossed a piece of earth and Gary a chunk of ice into the air. Soon the two objects were trapped in a large bubble of water; Misty was holding them in the air taking a wide stance with her hands and arms to face the bubbles of water. Once the objects were locked in place, ash sent a shock of electricity to the bubbles causing the objects to be electrocuted greatly.

"That's cool, now it's our turn Leafy, to outside arena." Gary said, pulling Leaf outside followed soon by the others. They stood on the field located outside of the Maple's gym with Leaf and Gary facing the forest with the others behind them. "This might make a large ruckus, so Dawn if you could sound proof the area please." Dawn put up a force-field around the gyms area; Gary thanked her before turning to Leaf and nodding.

"Alright, we present to you frozen quake!" Leaf exclaimed before crouching and putting both of her palms on the ground, which instantly started to shake and break apart in the forest in front of them. Gary then copied Leaf`s motion and soon the ground which was cracked had ices fly out and strike multiple places on the ground. Once the combo move was finished, Leaf restored the ground and the plants around the area.

"Cool but not as awesome as lock and shock," Ash mumbled to himself.

"Eh there Ashy-boy, frozen quake is a sweet move." Gary said in response. "Anyways, May and Drew should get back to trying to come up with something. Not that they will make much progress in an hour."

"Hey it's an hour that we won't need to spend tomorrow!" May shouted at the auburn haired boy as he walked away with his partner and the others.

"Look flame-brain, just leave it be." Drew put a hand on shoulder. "We need to come up with something, so why don't we talk to figure something out?"

Letting out a sigh May agreed and the pair went back inside of the gym and sat on the mat in the center of the gym. "So how are we going to do this anyways, you say more fire, I say less wind for the roar but you know, what do we know?" leaning back onto her hands she pondered to herself before sitting back up and grabbing the pendent around her neck. Using a little fire she called upon Hilda and Hilbert who soon appeared in front of her and Drew.

"Hey what up! You know we haven't been here for like a day; so what do you guys want? We were on a date." Hilda asked putting her hands on her hips.

"No we weren't with were with your mother. Do you not realize how much she hates me?" Hilbert exclaimed at the girl. "You're ice I'm fire. I'm hated cause of that."

"Eh it was dinner therefore with you. That's a date. But seriously what do you guys need and where's everyone else?" Hilda asked the Dragon Souls that sat in front of her.

"We need help with the combination move. Everyone else has one but we are stuck because of grasshead here."

"No it's because of this airhead. She uses to little fire. If she could just do more then it wouldn't be a problem." Drew retorted back at the brunette girl beside him, glaring at her to return the one she gave him.

"Alright there's not much we can do. But we can do one thing." Hilbert said nodding to his girlfriend before walking over to May and Drew. Before May or Drew could speak a word they were hit atop their heads. "We can't do anything about your stubbornness. How about one on you uses a roar and the other something else? You need to work together on this."

"Now if you excuse us, we have to return to dinner."

"Nooooo I can stay and he-"Hilbert's call for help was ended as the couple disappeared without a trace.

"Shit they were our only help." Drew said before turning back to his partner. "They do have a point though, what if I do a roar with you throwing flames or something." He could see May thinking as it showed in her face. When her expression brightened he knew she had come up with an idea.

"Alright I got it. I will make these balls of fire," she held up her hand which was engrossed in fire. "And I throw them into your roar." She yelled excitedly.

Drew waited a moment processing what the short haired brunette had just said. "But...I just said the exact same thing."

"Ya but it's me so my idea is much better. Plus, I had visuals." May said to the chartreuse haired boy. "anyways it's been a while since the others left, we should head back to my house as well." with no objection from Drew the pair left the gym, making sure everything was locked up.

Well walking the two were talking about others moves that they could do since they agreed it would be best to do as the others said and not focus on just a combination of the roars themselves. Suddenly, May stopped in her tracks casing Drew to continue walking talking to himself. Soon he realized May had stopped and walked back over to her frozen stance.

"Did you hear that?" she asked him.

"I don't know what you're talking about, I heard noth-" he stopped as well, listening to the surroundings. "10 o'clock we have company." The teens took a stance back to back as the quiet, yet threatening noise began to surround them.

Silence. Darkness. That's all that was there. Ten minutes strolled past and the dragon souls stood still awaiting the enemy to arrive.

"They are moving downwind so we can't smell them. I'm changing the wind direction towards us from everywhere." Drew said in a serious nature. "this one will be yours the second mine and then there is no other plan of attack by them, we're going to be ambushed. Prepare yourself."

"Way ahead of you Grasshead." May said engrossing her fists in flames as she took a fighting stance. "Don't get beat up to badly, I still need you as a partner."

"Same goes to you Airhead." Drew said as he took he stance to attack as well.

Just as Drew had predicted, the pair was ambushed by creatures that they could not identify. And with the luck they had, no attacks did any damage. May grabbed the necklace around her neck, yelling at it. "Hilda we need a report on these things now!"

Though she did not appear, Hilda's voice was heard through the pendants around both Drew and May's necks. "What you are fighting are mythical creatures that are called bloodhounds. And these are not your cheap girly version that earth has, these creatures are summoned by a great force of evil, and seek to bathe in the blood of a dragon, since you guys are Dragon Souls you are the next best thing."

"Okay ya great lesson, for the day," Drew said sarcastically as his dodge a bloodhounds attack. "How the hell do we beat them?"

Sighing through the communication device Hilda continued. "Well simplest way is for a full-fledged warrior of the ancients to but since were stuck with you two. Use the combo move you came up with, it should give enough power to kill them. Now you're on your own." The communication ended and the Dragon Souls continued fighting.

"Drew fly up, I'll get up the tree and we'll attack from there." May called as she began to book it from the tree that was nearby.

"We haven't even practised this yet. We don't know if it will work!" Drew called to the tree May was already at the top of, as he hovered in the air.

"well now would be a good time for it to work! Just do it!" May screamed at him, as he quickly followed the command.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!" a tornado like gust of wind spewed from his mouth as May began to throw fire balls into it, causing a flaming tornado to be thrown at the bloodhounds from above.

Within seconds the bloodhounds were wiped out and a large crater was left in the pathway. "So we might have overpowered that a little too much. But it was so worth it! We completely obliterated them, not even a speck of blood is left!"

"Ya it's cool and all, but why did we suddenly get ambushed, I get why but I mean it in a what happened to allow them to escape from the other world." Drew asked his brunette companion as they made their way towards the ground.

"I'm not sure, but let's wait until tomorrow to figure it out, let's just get home and tell everyone what happened then we can have dinner, cause I am starving!" May grabbed Drew's hand and began to pull him towards the Maple household.

Okay, done this chapter. I hope that it was worth the wait and again I am truly sorry about this humongous wait that I gave you.

Review please, you can tell me how much you hate me there and I will have the replies in the next chapter posted, which will hopefully be by next month but I cant make any guarantees.

Quilavamaster signing off.
