Legends 18
Hello to all. I will not pester you very long with the author's note anything that I have to say will be at the end. But here are the review responses.
awolflover- you are a wonderful person, we just need to hope that Gray and Natsu don't ruin that strawberry cake like always and it will all be good. And the arc we are on in the manga just plays with your feels so much. And I actually can't wait for it to be in the anime because it will be so epic. Thanks for the review
ShadowyBlue- okay okay. Fine. I will ruin my Fairy Tail OTP and take Gajeel. If Levy cries, it is your fault. But speaking of Gray, please tell me you follow the manga, if you don't go read it now. Screw my story. This is important matters.
SapphireStarHikari- now how are you supposed to function without a laptop! You must read all the fanfiction and you can't do that without a laptop!
Skystar of the Ancients- YAYAYAY another new chapter for you to enjoy. Well I hope you enjoy it if not I'm going to go cry in a corner.
Cutiepiepo2- I honestly don't have a problem with you not reviewing, I just love the support that you give. And the bootiful nicknames are thanks to one of my friends who loves reading my story so I'll tell her you say you love them. I love you to person I don't actually know :P
Normal POV
"So let me get this straight," a tuff of emerald hair paced itself around the room, the hands of the boy with his arms up but hands between the printed green wings that stretched across his back. "You and May fought these demonic creatures 'Bloodhounds' as you said, and managed to use a tag-team move to save yourselves?"
The Auburn haired boy, eyes of a matching colour spoke to the Fire and Air Soul duo that stood in front of the other Dragon Souls. "I have explained it like ten times. That is what happened." The emerald haired boy replied.
The Dragon Souls sat in the basement of the Maple household, as that is what they were now calling their base of operations. May and Drew had rushed back home after the incident. although to avoid all the obstacles such as cars and forests, Drew had opted to pick may up and carry her through the skies using the large, green angelic wings that his full level power now allowed him to have. Once May and Drew arrived back at home, they instantly called a meeting down in the basement to explain their situation.
After explaining what had happened to the pair, the household had their usual large family dinner, where they would strike up conversations about school and training. The group of teens had decided that May's family was best to not know what had happened earlier that day so they wouldn't bring it up around them.
The evening faded to night and the sun disappeared, causing everyone to lie in the usual bedding arrangements. Although it was the night was silent, the conversation did not stop for the teens that lay in the pitch black basement. Dawn, whom was silent the whole conversation, suddenly spoke, questioning the group that was around her. "Hey guys, what day is tomorrow?"
"Like the fifteenth or something," Leaf replied as she scrolled through pictures that she had taken on her phone which wore a lime green case with a black silhouette of a forest on it. "Why are you wondering all of a sudden?"
"Oh," Dawn said as she began to scratch the back of her neck. "No reason really...just wondering." The darkness hid her face that now wore a bright pink colour, she slowly pulled the blankets to hide her face, but suddenly they would go up any further. Continuing to yank the blankets out of her confusion, she only stopped when she was questioned by Leaf.
"What are you doing Dawn?" She asked as she aimed her phones screen at the blue haired girl, using the light to see what she was doing.
"Your face is red." The figure on top of Dawn spoke. The light from Leaf's phone had reviled Paul over top of Dawn. His hands and legs on either side of her body and face just centimeters away from her own.
"Paul what the hell!" Dawn shrieked, attempting to push said boy off of her. "I'm only red because you are so close to me! Get off!" although, with both the actions and the words from the girl, Paul had not moved and inch and looked as though he dint plan to.
"You were red since before you knew I was here." He stated. "Say why and I'll get off."
"Why," Dawn replied sarcastically hoping the boy would then move.
"Troublesome, tell us why you were questioning and why you are red."
"You will get off me if I do?" The plum headed boy nodded in response, awaiting the story she had to tell. "Fine, I'll tell you. It's not a really big deal, it's just my birthday is coming up and I have always spent it at home with my family and this is the first time that I won't be. It is just weird and upsetting that I won't get to see my mom on the day she gave birth to her only child." Dawn stated, crossing her arms over her chest. "Are you happy now?"
"Never." The plum haired boy said, getting off of the girl before appearing back under the blankets of his futon.
"Well don't worry there Dawny, we are your family as well now so you can spend it with us and you could even call you mom, I'm sure she wouldn't mind."
"Ya, come on we would make it special." Ash said to Dawn next. "Hey we never learned when everybody was born...shouldn't we know these things since we will be working with each other. Plus, we gotta celebrate birthdays, it is an unwritten rule. I'll start. I was born May 22nd."
"Well mine is October 27th," Dawn added onto Ash's preppy train, getting the teens out of their lazy states.
"I feel bad we didn't discuss this sooner. September 11th is mine. I went out with my family for dinner that night; you remember that...we only do that as tradition though we don't really do much else." May added into the conversation. She was told by the others it wasn't a problem and that they would figure something out for her.
"Alright. June 2nd, that is mine. Nothing special about it though." Leaf told her friends.
"That's a lie Leafy; you were brought into my life because of that." Gary told Leaf with a flirtious wink. "November 22nd is that date this great wonder was- ow! What the hell Paul?"
"Got annoyed by you voice."
"Look here you little shadow boy...wait, this isn't fair, it's dark and he disappeared again..."
"Then don't bug him." Misty told the auburn haired Ice Soul. "Mine is July 15th."
"April the 5th, the day the Drew Hayden was born." Said boy then proceeded to flick his emerald fridge on his forehead.
"Paul, you are the only one left. What day were you born?" Dawn asked, laying on her stomach facing the area Paul was laying down in over with her male teammates.
"December 25th."
"You were born on Christmas! Oh that is awesome! Wait...that also means that you are the youn-"
"1995."
"Oh...that means that you are almost two years older than me! I was born in 1997!" Dawn said with a pout on her face. "What about the rest of you?"
"'96" the gang chimed together.
"Ahhhh, that means that I'm the youngest by a year...that's not fair...mind you I guess that makes sense on why I don't have class with any of you." Dawn said sadly to the group. "Do did you start school late Paul since you are in the same grade as everyone else?"
"My mom didn't want me to be the youngest in the class and get picked on so ya." Paul replied to the bluenette girl.
"Ahhhh mommy must love you so very much." Gary teased the violet haired boy.
"She felt she needed to do extra what a normal mom does, since my dad was an asshole; the same asshole that died because he was drunk and drove." Paul retorted. "So ya my mother cared quite a bit about me and my brother. Hell the only reason that I am here is because she was scared that you would all get hurt without me on your side."
"Holy shit. He has a heart..." Drew said as he stared at Paul.
"This doesn't change the fact that I just want this over with so I can go back home and not deal with all of you." The Boys figure disappeared with the darkness yet again.
"Would you stop doing that? It kinda creeps me out," Ash said to where Paul had been lying down.
The boys figure appeared yet again, revealing a emotionless face as usual but it somehow seemed ticked by the Electric Souls comment. "I can't control it when I sleep. So get used to it."
"How about you learn to instead, that would at least be good for everyone else."
"My body is at a state of rest, I cannot control something when my body is shut down. If I disappear because it's dark I can't do anything about it. So stop fucking complaining." Paul snapped back.
"Would you two stop! We are a team, try to act like one." Misty quickly yelled at the two boys, wishing that their bickering would end soon so it would be peaceful once again.
"we should probably get some rest," Drew said looking at the time on the home screen of his phone. "its past midnight and we need to train again tomorrow morning." The others groaned at the Air Soul's responsibility but decided that it would be best if they did end up getting to sleep sooner than later so they wouldn't get their asses kicked by May's father in the morning, which had happened before.
"I have an idea before we do that though." Gary stated quickly leaping out from under his covers and in front of the bathroom door so that everyone could see him. "I present to you the ultimate game of tag."
"Ice for brains it's too late for that." An unamused voice coming from the only girl Gary seemed to hit on from the group. Leaf had curled up under the blankets with her phone besides her charging.
"Not now, tomorrow for training. Come on, think this though, every man for himself, a full out battle. We use our powers to our advantages, everyone is being chased and we all hunt down each other, we meet and we fight. Winner keeps going and the loser sits out."
The room was silent; Gary took a large sigh before heading back to his bed. Once he lied down the others all jumped up. "Now I like that idea! We could beat each other senseless and I could dominate!" Misty yelled, hand curled into a fist held high in the air.
"I don't know, I don't think my power is really meant for fighting..." Dawn said shyly and she sat back down and scooted further back into her bed.
"Oh come on blue; this'll be great! We can learn from actual battle and learn about each other's powers!" Ash screamed out running to Dawn pulling her into a hug. "Think about that, you could expand your powers!"
"Even Paul is excited. Just look at him, he's bursting at the seams." Drew said nudging his head at Paul. Each of the teen looked at the plum-headed boy to see his usual emotionless face, though with a meniscal upwards tilt to one side of his mouth.
"I mean I guess I can fight, but I don't know how I will do." dawn said, hoping to be let out of Ash's death grip.
"Then it's set." May added into the conversation.
Fists held high by the group letting out a shriek "Tomorrow we fight!"
"GO TO BED ALL OF YOU!"
There. I finally type the chapter. I do hope you like it although this was kinda just set up for the next couple of chapters. I will see you next time. Until then enjoy!
