Legends 19

I have returned at long last! With a chapter and actual chapter! Who would've thought! And there is news with this chapter! I have kinda been slowly working on a new story that I won't be uploading till something is finished. Also with this being chapter 19 I need your honest opinion guys. I need to know if you would like the story to pick up pace and finish by chapter 30 or go a bit farther, about 40-45 chapters. I have a way to do both but I need to know so I will be setting up a poll on my profile so you can go vote for it. Review responses will be at the end of the story so if you reviewed on chapter 18 you can check the response below. Anyways I will let you enjoy the chapter!

"Alright, is everyone here?"

"Ya, now that Ash got his ass up." An annoyed voice stated.

"I'm sorry I couldn't sleep with Plum-boy there fucking fading in and out. Don't care if he can't control it, it creeps me out." Ash snapped back at the red-headed girl.

"No arguing! You can do that on the battlefield." Norman spoke sternly causing there to be silence among the gathered group before him, "Now, you are all going to be playing 'the ultimate hide and go seek tag' game. Each of you will have ten minutes to go and hide, once that ten minutes is up, you can then begin to venture around and look for a battle with someone. Once you have found somebody to battle with you can stay hidden if they have not yet spotted you, and then later perform a sneak attack to initiate the battle. Your second option is to attack and engage in a battle instantly. If you choose to stay hidden and are caught, then the battle will start with the person who caught you getting the first attack.

"I have added a GPS tracking system into each of your phones. The coloured dots on the laptop indicate who each player is. Well to be fair Max set it all up but this is how we will be keeping track of you. Once two of you battle then the winner will call so that we know who won the battle and who will be joining us back here. As well, this will be the way of informing the other competitors of who is still in the battle and who is not.

"If too much time has passed since a battle, we will be sending you a message to change your direction. Once we are down to the final two or three people we will inform you to meet in the center of the field and wait for everyone to arrive for viewing. Are there any questions? "Norman finished explaining as he began to hand out the teens phones.

"I think that I'm good, everyone else?" May asked as she slid her phone into a case that had been strapped around her right thigh.

"All good here," Dawn said, performing the same action as May although the case was strapped around her right calf.

"Good to go," Leaf added in putting the phone in the case attached to her belt.

"I'm ready to fight!" Misty yelled while putting the phone the same place as Leaf, along with all the boys.

"Let's get this started!" Ash yelled.

"I won't be going easy on you," Drew informed the group.

"I wouldn't expect you to, after all, you are going to need all your strength to defeat me." Gary added in with a smirk.

"Hn," Paul added into the conversation, clearly not in a talkative mood though signaling he was ready to begin.

"In that case; your ten minutes starts," Norman held up his watch and waited for the minute to change. The group of teens got into position to make a run for it to hide, anticipation growing stronger with each passing second. "Now."

Eight teens burst off the lines, all using full speed to separate from the rest. The Maple family sat watching the coloured dots on Max's laptop screen grow further and further apart. "Who would've thought that our daughter would control fire, have a body that is made of magma, and the greatest of all, get to befriend seven others so that she isn't alone anymore."

"I know honey." Norman spoke hugging his wife from behind, "I haven't seen her this happy since she was young. I'm just afraid of what is still to come. What if they just aren't ready for this responsibility; they are only just beginning their lives and the whole world is going to be depending on them."

Max turned to face his parents with a serious look plastered to his face, "Dad calm down would you? They are going to be just fine." He turned back to the laptop screen and focused on the blinking red dot. "Trust me, brother's intuition."

Your 10 minutes are up. Begin the hunt.

Alright, now I can go with the fighting! Though, I do need to run into someone that I can take, hell if I run into Paul I'm screwed, he already wants to pummel me. If I can run into Misty I have a type advantage...though she also wants to kill me...I think I'm screwed no matter what with either of them. Damn it! Focus on staying hidden for now.

Using the trees as my cover, I jumped from branch to branch as I blended into the leaves. I know that I am near the boundary line because I'm on the furthest side from the field, at the end of the tree line. My main priority is to see if I can find some storm clouds, that way I will be able to get a natural power up from all the static in the air. Though I haven't seen anything but blue skies all day and I can't see anything in the distance.

If I can't get a power up then I'll just need to use the strength that I have. Right now though I need to stay moving and out of sight. Move and hide, just move and - FUCK MY FOOTING!

An unexpected damp branch caused me to slip and fall through the trees a bit. Managing to finally grab onto a branch, I looked above to see how far I had fallen. Scanning the broken branches, I'd say it's safe to assume about 50 meters. Looking down all I saw was grass. Of course, follow the stupid last branch catch cliché thing. Whatever, I'll take my odds on the ground for a bit before climbing back up; give myself a break and take it easy.

"Well, well, well, look who decided to drop in." I looked towards the voice giving an unimpressed look at their joke. "What, too soon?"

"Doesn't matter if it was or not; which it was. We're fighting but I'm feeling kind so I'll let you take the first attack."

I have got to find someone soon; someone that I can take...so anyone except for Misty. Maybe even Leaf too, depending on whether or not she would be using plants or rocks. If I get someone like Paul, that would be a nice challenge, but I could so end up winning that if I really tried. Mind you...that would cause some serious exhaustion for the rest of the game so I had better not meet him, or Misty. Well I'm at it I should stay away from Dawn too, since she's all shy about the not a very strong power thing.

What if I just stop hiding in the trees? Go out to the open field and just sit. I mean that way not a whole lot would be destroyed then.

Now how do I get there? If I'm a little ways from the river and that's in the middle of- hello to my lucky surprise. I could feel the grin that began to plaster itself across my face, quickly hiding behind a nearby tree to stay out of sight. This is just what I need! Talk about a type advantage, Plus I even beat him in a fight last week. All I need to do is follow him and not get noticed, since he seems like he is heading for the field.

After following for a bit and getting to the field, he sat, leaning back against the tree I was currently standing in. Focusing the power into my hand, I created a fireball. Smirking inwardly at myself, I threw the fireball at the foot of my prey causing him to quickly take notice of me.

"Oh for fuck sake, really? It had to be you?" I hopped down from the tree branch to and directly in front of him.

"Now, now, don't complain. We have a fight to get to."

Now if I just stay along the river then I won't get lost. That sounds pretty good to me...as long as I don't run into anyone I can last till the very end. But I need to keep moving or else I think they're gonna send someone after me by messaging them directions.

Whatever. Even if I lose I didn't want to do this in the first place. Honestly, who wants to beat up all their friends just cause we have pretty awesome powers? I mean, I can't have my face messed up or my hair cut off...oh please god not my hair. I have worked so hard to keep this growing out and healthy. Not a single split end on my head and I don't want my hair just gone after all these years of work down the drain. Nope not gonna happen. If it does I'm so out of this thing. Ruined nails and all I couldn't care less, it's just a reason to go to the salon.

Ahh man what I wouldn't do for a mud bath right now. Honestly, mud baths are like a Klondike Bar to people that are normal, if I had to give up eating solid food forever and having meals blended together to have nutrients or have a mud bath...never mind I couldn't have the feeling of sinking my teeth into a nice, juicy burger. Now that is something I'd give up mud baths for.

DAMN IT! I need to stay focused on the battle not my random thought process. No matter how good of a land my mind may be I can't go there right now. I shook my head clear of all thoughts and focus, giving myself a slap to the face to make sure I didn't do it again and began to move my feet again.

Just my luck. I daydream about mud and what do I get. God damn fucking mud. And of course, I discover this by trying to walk and falling straight into the pile face first. "Man, do I have good placement of these things or what?" I lifted my head and wiped my face...okay attempted to wipe my face clear of mud, getting enough of a sightline to see who I had come across.

"Ya ya, can you at least get rid of this so that I can stand a chance against you?" Letting out a sigh, the mud beneath me and the covered my body wash away as if it were never there.

"Now that that is taken care of, how about we have a nice and challenging fight?"

"I can't promise anything but I think I can give you a decent challenge." I let out a chuckled and formed the light energy in my hands ready to strike.

I swear to god, I'm going to murder him. Can't control stuff, but sure as hell blame me for it. Honestly, I control darkness and death, I should just plot a way for him to die and get my own death note. Better yet, I could just borrow one. I mean it wouldn't be that hard, I just need it for one name.

Letting out a large sigh, I continued to sit in the shade of a large cherry blossom tree. Of course I couldn't just kill the kid though; Reggie wouldn't stop yelling at me. Then he would probably make me find a way to bring him back and that would just be a huge hassle that I really don't feel like dealing with right now. So I guess I won't be doing that. Fuck. Now I need to think of some other way to tolerate everyone.

Overall, I am getting used to the presence of a bunch of others around me, still not enjoyable but I can stand it more than at the get go. Though it is fun to mess with Dawn, being the youngest of the group is already making it awkward for her but to just randomly appear and scare her at times. Aww that is a good feeling. Welp. I think I just discovered why I am going to hell. But I Have a special place reserved for me. Ahh the throne. That thing is the most comfortable fucking seat. So worth going to hell, I mean I've already got a shit ton of people down there that know me so may as well end up there in the end.

Feeling the vibration of my phone come from the belt I was wearing took me out of my thoughts as I pulled it out of its case. Start moving north. Damn it, it is peaceful here. I'm secluded from everyone else. Letting out another sigh, I stood up sliding the phone back into its case as I did so. I guess this is my fault for sitting here for about thirty minutes so I can't complain about anything.

I wonder who they are making me face anyways...I mean someone that could prove to be challenging. I know that Dawn can see right through my shadow binding so that's a disadvantage. And I know May has some serious martial arts training, she wiped the floor with Gary last week. They know I want to murder Ash so they wouldn't put me up against him. I faced Red in battle last week and I beat her so she is unlikely as well. Gary is no match for me, so I'm down to Drew and Leaf. Both have the advantages and disadvantages.

Lost in thought, the ground beneath me began to shake. Well, I guess that explains who they set me up with. I quickly used my shadow binding to escape the ground that crumbled beneath me.

Now being located a good 50 meters from where the ground split, I began to shadow morph around trying to find my attacker. "It's no use, you are in my domain. Even in your shadow form, I can still sense you using the earth." Hmph. Way to blow your cover, I know exactly where you are now. I quickly escaped from this world and into the underworld. Traveling to the approximate location of where my target stood. Returning to Earth behind the target, I smirked and quickly attacked using a simple kick. This would not only knock her down but cause her to lose focus.

"You're in for one hell of a fight."

Now, don't hate me for cutting it here. This has a good reason; I need your opinions on when I should end Legends, so you gotta go over to my profile and vote. You can make 2 choices and from the top two choices I will get the average and make the story around that plus an epilogue so ya...also cliff hangers.

Review, hate me for not updating...hate me some more and then get cookies and wait for the next update. Until then, try not to kill me.

It's honestly good to know that people find my humor funny cause I only thought my boyfriend did and that's cause he only has terrible dad jokes. I'm sure you have some imagination...I mean everyone does in their own way just gotta figure something out to express it...shit I just went deep on that. For me I believe that he is that way because he has this cocky attitude in the anime, which is needed in order to be a womanizer. As well, in the very first episodes of the anime, Gary was seen driving around in a convertible with a bunch of girls following him giving off a kind of player attitude. So that is why...I think.

Scarycool (guest) – I think it is great that you enjoy my story enough to want to use the idea for yourself but I did come up with the idea for this so that it would be original. I don't mind if you use the idea of characters having powers for some reason, but I would like my idea to stay mind. I hope I don't come off as an asshole for that reason. I'm sorry.
