Legends 20
Okay guys, twentieth chapter. Now I'm not going to rush this ending the best I can but finish it within 35 I can't do that I am hoping to get back into writing a little bit each day. This is going to be thanks to discovering how well Google Docs works on my phone. right now I am saying a hiatus on Angel Sky. And finishing this story, then Angel Sky, then taking a large hiatus from overall posting. Then I will be uploading a new story (the one I mentioned last chapter) which is an ikari based fiction.
On top of all this information. I am hoping to be taking requests for little one shot stories for any of those interested. But that will most likely be after Legends is finished.
I am sorry if I bored you with my paragraphs of explaining but I give you a new chapter.
Drew's POV
I had come across Ash pretty easily retrospect. All I was doing was using my Dragon Mark's power to fly using the wings it had granted me. The wings were an angelic piece; shamrock in colour, feathers as soft as the finest silk, large enough to carry my weight through the skies above. They could be retracted but it was actually quite difficult to do so, though being able to summon them was a simple task.
We had come across them while training the one day, I was teaching Dawn how to stay balanced while mid-flight. Hilda had appeared at that time, summoning me to the Dragon Realm, that is where I met the sky dragon for the second time. A snake with feathered wings is the best way to describe him. Emerald green scales covered his body, with his underside having a lighter shade of scales. Small arms and hind legs had gold plated armor atop them. His wings were an identical colour to his body though small like the rest of his limbs. Unlike my own set of wings, his were a fur like texture and had a gold plate protecting just the top part of the wing.
His name, Draki, he is one of the oldest dragons in his realm. We had become quite familiar with one another while we chatted away the time, I had learned all about the Dragons of the Skies, the different powers and how to perform them. The weapon that has been passed down through generations, that I would be wielding when the time came to fight the darkness. This is when I had earned the full power of the Sky Dragon, as well as earning the wings that I wore today.
I was able to flight in a swift motion that was almost impossible to see to the human eye, though to a dragon eye was very visible still. I became lighter and more agile, so battling with the others has become much simpler.
Ash and I stood face to face, the forest surrounding us all around. Since he was letting me make the first attack I can start off powerful; the best choice would be to use a combat attack from behind. Quickly taking advantage of my speed I appeared in a flash behind the raven haired boy. "Sky Talon!" I shouted out, crossing my arms in front of me, my nails pointed towards Ash's back and quickly drawing them back to my sides.
Ash flew forward, colliding into a near by tree. Pushing off with his hands, he took off into the heights of the trees. I took notice to the movement of his arm, pointed upwards with a fist and quickly bringing it down to create ninety degree bend, his fist still present. A ear piercing crackle was heard as the electricity burned through my body. "Static Roar!" I heard him call out before noticing the swirling tornado of lighting flying into my direction.
Pushing myself of the ground using full force caused the attack to hit the heal of my right foot, leaving a stinging burn in it's place. "Air Cutter!" My left hand crossing in front of my body at immense speed.
The attack tore the fabric in which he wore as his shirt, causing him to grunt as the attack hit his bare skin. He dashed towards me, as I flew upwards to avoid his attacks, "You can't use that trick on me! Striker!" Ash's voice called out. The moment he uttered those words I felt the static filling my body, tensing my every muscle.
I plummeted towards the earth, causing a crater where I laid hunched in pain after smashing into the ground. My body ached, my clothes had been shredded by the lightning, and Ash stood over me with a grin in his face. "Dont give me that look, I'm not done just yet." I mustered up the strength to stand myself up, shakily trying to focus back on the fight.
Normal POV
"Tonight the beasts will rise, the children are not ready yet," a gruff voice echoed through the large chamber. The voice of Draki, the sky dragon. Surrounding the central podium of the Dragon Realm stood the eight great dragons, the leaders of the realm. Luna, the light dragon, Senka the shadow dragon, Vatradom the fire dragon, Vodala the water dragon, Zemlistja the land's dragon, Yuki the ice dragon, Manjaza the lighting dragon.
Senka appeared in his shadow form, the large dragon taking up less space this way. Rather than his large body was a simple blur of black with piercing red eyes.
Vatradom stood tall and proud, his crimson scaled body looking darker in comparison to the flames that covered the outer side of his sleek wings. The spiked flames went from head to the tip of his tail, as well as acting like a cuff around his arms. The pitch black eyes were filled with concern and determination.
Next to the flaming dragon laid Vodala, her serpent like body still simmering like the night's sky while coiled into a spiral shape. Her body made of the dark waters of the oceans that went into a lighter colour along her tail, the wings on her back matched the deep blue colour though were hidden inside of the water body she possessed.
the youngest dragon to appear in the meeting, Zemlistja, her body covered in a variety of light beige, rocky spikes sharp enough to pierce steel. Her face was rounded off in the front creating a beak-like mouth her underside was a pearl white with her chest being fur like in appearance. Although being the dragon of the land her talons formed into a shape that looked as though were webbed. At the elbow and knees there was a large spike that pointed upwards with the rest on her body, her wings spread out as five thin pointed rocks on each side that had a webbing in between each.
The shining silver armour that covered the gleaming aqua and gold coloured body of Manjaza stood out amongst the group. His angelic, white, feathered wings curved up to his skull before curving down to the ground beneath him, golden coloured horns supporting the wing from underneath. His face had two white horns, emerging from the center of his snout where a golden bolt shot upwards, that covered his glowing white eyes.
"Then we shall summon them here and provide them with their cloth." The haunting voice of Senka spoke, stating his opinion on the matter.
"We cannot yet though, they are still in need of training" Vodala retorted in quiet and calming voice.
Senka spoke again, "if the darkness shall rise the heroes must have their cloth! Cana come forth!" The order was heard and appearing next to the podium stood a short thirteen year old girl, messy, black locks and red eyes that matched the shadow dragon's before her. "Bring the Dragon Souls here at once, I know you have enough power to do that daughter." The girl nodded trying with all her might to summon the eight teens.
"Stop this madness!" The crackling voice of a god roared. All eyes rested upon the sights of Manjaza. "They are battling to train at the moment. Give them a little bit, we can observe the skills that they have gained then decide to give them their cloth or not."
A small chuckle was heard from the elder dragon, "You are just enjoying that your pupil is winning."
Leaf's POV
No matter how much I hate to admit, Paul is just ridiculously strong. His martial arts are almost as good as May's, who has been training her whole life, and his portal power thing, though it is much slower than the rest of his attacks, I can't escape it.
The battle was currently him winning in clear, I was only surviving the pounding attacks due to raising my defense with stones. He was a shadow, more a black blur with red dots for eyes that would strike me before going back and quickly striking again. There was no way to win this, I've tried every strategy I could come up with and I don't have much time before I run low on my power.
I let out an inward sigh to myself as I admitted my defeat. "Pual!" I shouted to catch the action of the shadow, once he stopped bouncing around it was clear he was listening. "Save the rest of your strength, I give up. There is no way I can beat you."
The darkness slowly dispersed off his body, making the man with the purple hair visible once again. I took away the armour that I had created, rocks toppling to the ground around my bare feet; I had lost my sandals at some point through the fight. I gave my body a shake, feeling the lightness of the bare skin once again. "Gou put up a good fight," looking forward I saw Paul standing in front of me with his hand extended. I put my hand in his smiling at his comment. Within a moment he released from the handshake and pulled out the phone sending a message to Norman I presume.
"There you are set to head back, Norman will have everyone texted shortly."
"Thanks, good luck out there. Try not to get too beat up; if you use up too much power then you will be weak for a few days." I told the plum-haired boy who was pushing sweat covered hairs out of his face. I turned away and began to make my way back to our starting point, " oh before i forget, pur shadow morphing got a little sloppy at the end. You weren't completely morphed, be careful with that in the future." I heard no response but i could feel him shaking his head at me, a small grin appearing on my face as I realized how close this group had gotten over the past couple of months.
Gary's POV
I don't have any freaking chance at beating May. I have thought up every strategy, plot, and down right evil scheme and nothing will work. He'll we haven't even started fighting yet...she just stood there and waited for me, waiting for me to make the first move. Just what would I do though? I feel like a kid showing up to his grad in underwear having to make every speech by winging it and then projectile vomiting over the first few rows. That big of a panic.
Honestly though the best thing I could possibly do in this situation is run. "I don- hey look at that there was an explosion just beyond those trees."
"Nice try, I'm not waiting for you to attack while I'm not looking. Would you fight like a man already, I want to get on with this." May said, crossing her arms in front of her with a stern look on her face.
"No seriously!" I screamed excitedly, jumping up and looking over at the trees I pointed out earlier. "Just over there, I think I saw Drew up there followed by a big crash"
I heard the footsteps and saw May pass my side looking beyond the trees for any signs of movement. As she looked I slowly began backing up , trying to stay as silent as I could. Once I hit the trees that stood behind me, I double checked to see that May still was looking at the point I had showed her examining it; tch Drew was right, she is an airhead sometimes.
I made a run for it as I became encased by trees. Seeking out the best place to hide from May once again, I didn't intend to run from battle...just temporarily postpone the thing till I could come up with a solid plan.
Dawn's POV
So i wasnt doing half bad in my opinion, Misty was panting heavily and I was barely breaking sweat. I learned quickly that my light attacks evaporated any water attacks that she threw at me.
I also had an upper hand for whenever she hurt me. I was now able to heal small wounds upon myself with no concentration at all, the wounds would heal automatically for me and i would worry no longer about them.
My power was starting to get low though, I could feel it. A bad sign in my mind. Though if I try to fight without these powers Misty is sure to beat me in plain combat.
I hid behind a tree in order to block an attack she had thrown. Quickly readying my roar I snapped back from hiding and unleashed the power from my open mouth. Once the attack ended I noticed Misty stood there unfazed by the attack, in fact she looked as though she could be unfazed by a truck hitting her head on. She stood straight up with her hands at her side. He face had a blank look on it. I began to approach her seemingly lifeless body in caution that it was just a ruse. As I got closer there was a faint golden glow surrounding her body. Once I stood in front of her I knew that she was not there mentally, something had happened and I was unsure of what exactly, was it out powers? Did I hurt her in someway? Or was this something that I had no control over?
"Dawn sweetie, come back to us would you?" the voice seemed familiar and I shook myself out of my thoughts once again. myself to look up I noticed that I was no longer in the heavily wooded surroundings but instead a great hall with stone pillars all around.
The voice I had heard was May, she stood in front of the others who all seemed just as confused As I was at this moment. "We are in the Dragon realm. Summoned here for a reason to which I don't know. Though in order to be summoned I believe it is quite the ordeal." Gary spoke this time, a sophisticated form of speaking knowing that it was a time of seriousness.
"By the looks of it we are heading down this hall." Ash stated, nudging his head towards the grand hallway that stood before us.
We began to walk, the tapping of our feet hitting the ground echoed through the silence. The lighting was dim, coming up from the floor as small potlights every fifteen feet or so. No one spoke which just kept the eerie feel to the time passing slowly. Slowly we approached a large stone door that the boys struggled to push open. As they opened it the bright light began to flood into the hallway.
Taking a minute for my eyes to adjust to the lighting, I looked at the room as I entered. Eight stone dragons stood in a circle, one to which I recognized as Luna. I took in her sight for a moment, then ran up to the statue admitting her beauty through even stone. Then I looked at the others, each standing in front of what I presumed to be the dragon in which their element came from.
We all faces each other after a few minutes of taking in the sight, once we did so I heard Luna's voice telling me to make an orb from my Dragon Soul power. I did as told and made the orb, next I had to place it in her opened claw. I did just that. Stepping back, I waited for something to happen but nothing. I turned my head to see May walking towards the center of the room. Turning my body, I was now able to see the chests that were place more in the center of the room but still in a specific section.
I opened the chest the reveal a blinding light which dimmed itself after a moment. There lied a white price of cloth that looked delegate as a newborn child. I picked it up ever so carefully holding up to the sky to view its full blown beauty.
The top was a sweetheart neck line with a halter. That formed a bow at the back. It cut off just below my chest in the center but began to flow out towards the sides in a draped effect which would end just around my navel. Also had a skirt that was short on the front but began to extend at the sides, by the back of it it would fall along my feet. Both prices shined in the sunlight that now gleamed from behind me, the white silk now had tints of purple and pink in the mix.
"Dawn." I let out a shriek, turning on a dime to see what had scared the daylight out of me. "We have much to discuss. So I would suggest that you get comfortable with your friends."
Wooooo. Look at me, I got another update out and it hasn't even been a month. Also Uvenus it is like 11:45pm over here in Canada, well in my timezone so still Wednesday like I said.
I don't have much to say to you guys but I did finish high school today woo had my head and it had like 350 students so it took a while and I took that time to write since I had my phone on me during that time.
Leave a review and let me know how you liked it or PM me. I love hearing your opinions and hopefully I will be able to update again soon.
OfInkNRose - ya! Updates! And you get another one cause I am actually publishing this again! And I hope my PM cleared everything up. It was supposed to be hinted at and stuff so you could question who was fighting who. Now it all cleared up hopefully.
Guest - I don't take it as rude one bit. Actually I would like to thank you for being so honest. I did put the poll up for the question and I will most likely be ending it sooner than later. Which is why I have taken the route to end sooner for this chapter. I do want to be able to update more frequently and hope that I will be able to do so or at least once a month. Thank you again for being so honest with me, I truly do appreciate it.
Uvenus- your senpai will accept and notice you! I have made you another chapter and you shall love it...well hopefully I got some fancy names in there if you wondering how I got them you can PM me or something.
Cutiepiepo2 - I did and thank you I hope this chapter was even better! I'll make sure I add that to the rest of the numbers. And / I can't be that good of an author can I? And the confusion was hopefully put to rest for you with this chapter. I hope you enjoyed.
Until next time.
