Legends 24
I am a true piece of procrastinating trash. I started this chapter in April. And just finished the other 2000 words in the past week. Originally going to be for my buddies birthday but I fucked up and forgot….sorry Smithyrob. My bad.

On another note I am still looking for any OCs I need 4 for the story and all the information was in the authors note at the end of last chapter. I want to use these as the army leaders because I've been asked multiple times if I take OCs.

"Shit," Leaf sighed out in exhaustion as she clear the last pieces of rubble from the route path. The group with her helped by carrying what they could but the large rocks were too much for them to lift.

"You've done enough for now, take a break and then we'll move on to the next part." May ordered to her fellow brunette.

"May we've been at it since yesterday and we barely had any shut eye." The voice came from the ground where Gary lay. The Ice Soul had done his share of work and now took residence upon the grass. "We are going to have to get a good sleep in order to keep this up."

"We are supposed to meet the others in Rustburo by tomorrow and we went in the completely wrong direction. We started by the forest and now we are almost in Littleroot. Its going to take us all day to walk back there still." May told him with a sternness in her voice.

Gary opened his eyes to see the girl. A look on her face that did not want to show fear but her large blue eyes called for help. For support. For this all to be over. His lips smirked slightly, even after how strong she was and how well she fought. She had the same feeling as him. Fear. Before he could speak he heard Paul's voice chime into the conversation. "We got here in just over a day. That was clearing paths which was probably half that time frame. We move quick not the speed you think." He moved closer to the three, coming back from the path ahead, which he went to check before the others joined. "There isn't anything around that I could see. We camp tonight and head back when we wake up and get some food in us. We take shifts for sleeping, which I will do first."

"Alright fine, but we leave at dawn." May said in defeat. She gathered some fire wood and placed in on the road way, where it wouldn't touch the grass yet it would still keep them warm. After igniting it and making a small but if bed from trees leaves, Leaf, Gary, and May tried to sleep as the sun began to set.

"So where are we meeting the others exactly?" Dawn asked Drew who was walking with Ash up ahead of her and Misty. The four arrived in Rustburo about an hour ago and were situated in front of the school building that had been nothing but a pile of rubble now.

"Any time now. Why don't you just call them telepathically? You can figure out how far out they are and tell them we are waiting." Drew responded. He was pacing back and forth awaiting the other half of their team. He needed to deliver information on some of the leaders. That had appeared.
As this half of the group was clearing cities Drew and Dawn had heard some talking and didn't recognize the voices. Thinking that it had been civilians they rushed to find the location of the noise. When they did find the cause, there was a horde of demons and talking to them was a man in black and red clothing looking as if he were going to a death metal concert. He wore metal brackets that were attached to broken chains on his wrists. A black denim vest over a ragged white t-shirt. Dark jeans and combat boot covered his lower half with chains on his legs as well. He had spiked platinum blonde hair and piercing red eyes that looked as though they could kill with just a glance.

Quick to conclusion Drew pulled Dawn back to Misty and Ash and they headed to Rustburo quickly. After hoping the others would be there. "I told you before for whatever reason I can't. Its as if something is jamming the signal….if that makes any sense. It I keep trying I'm just going to strain myself."

"I know, I'm just getting worried about them. They should have been here long before us." He let out a sigh as he let himself drop into the ground to rest for a bit.

"Well it's only just after ten a.m. so maybe they headed here this morning and they are just having some trouble." Misty tuned into the conversation, she say on top of the roof of the building hoping to catch a glance of anyone we're coming close. "Let's face it. We had a pretty simple task and we decided to take shelter in the city for the night so we caused this wait on ourselves."

"See Drew? Nothing to worry about." Dawn said cheerfully, beginning to stand up and stretch her legs out.

"Hey Mist," Ash's voice was faint to Drew and Dawn as he was look out for the other side of the rooftop. "We've got movement from the forest." He held out his palm charging an attack to send out.

A sudden gust of wind blew the tree tops in the still air that was once there. "Relax dumbass, just us. The others wanted me to come ahead to let you know so no one fried them." Paul appeared as a portal closed behind him.

Ash glared towards the death bearer, letting to electricity build up discharge from his hand. "I wasn't going to hit them. Just scare them a bit. We didn't know that it was you." He retorted to the older boy's comment.

"Anyways. How'd your end of things go?" Paul asked, ignoring the previous statement.
Misty walked up the conversation soon to be joined by Drew and Dawn. "We have everything surveyed out, looks that most civilians got out but we couldn't go into the cities beyond the rubble."

"Drew and I check from above and helped those we could but still can't guarantee that everyone is out." The petite bluenette stressed the fact that she couldn't be a bigger help. "Rescue teams were showing up as we were heading out though." Her eyes and posture showed discomfort, though it was eased with the placement of the Shadow Soul's stop her head.

The teens has all become much more aware of each others little quirks and how to tell the feelings through the body. Through that had been working together since the start had decided on being partners for training and from that had become especially close and bonded with one other Dragon Soul. Dawn's trust in Paul was high, she trusted him with her life and that small gesture was a way of saying 'you'll be just fine. You did your job'.

Drew cleared his throat, the nervousness of the upcoming topic beginning to make him wary. "The others should be here shortly let's get off the rooftop." He sighed to himself. May and Leaf were probably going to freak out that they already had to worry about the upcoming battle with a top notch enemy was near by. "Dee," he called, Dawn looked at him, responding to the nickname he had given her. "How are we going to explain this?"

"Like ripping off a bandage and hope for the best." She gave the older brother like character a small smile before she floated down to the Earth's surface.

The others had arrived and now sat around a small flame courtesy of May and Leaf, eating a small meal that they had scrummaged from the nearby grocer. Drew placed the plate of food he had down on the ground with a sigh. "Oi, what's with you Grasshead?" May asked before shoving more food into her mouth.

"I'll let everyone finish up dinner before I talk. There isn't much of a rush." He tried to convince the group that was now focused on him rather than their meal.

"Is it what you and Dawn have been whispering about all day?" Ash questioned. "Because if it is I think we should know. I mean it's been all day of you to talking alone and if it is I think we should be allowed to know as well."

"I agree with Sparky." Gary said, munching on a block of ice he took from a freezer.

"Sparky? Really?" the raven haired boy looked sceptically at the boy next to him.

"Yes, Sparky." Crossing his arms with his head held high shower Gary was proud of the nickname he now used to bug Ash. "But seriously did you two decide to hook up or something and keep it all secret? Cause I mean if you did way to go Drew." The crimson colour clouded both Dawn and Drew's faces. Was that seriously what they thought this was about?

Quick to respond Dawn had her hands out waving them vigorously as she tried to explain that was not it. Though flustered she could barely make out a word. "We spotted the first army leader. He wasn't too far from the city; maybe a ten minute walk." Drew said sternly, obviously brushing off the further comment. "and to the other statement, no. Dee here is more like a little sister if anything." Dawn's blush had subsided due to the words of her older companion though still very clear as the accusation had not left her mind.

"So what should we do about him then?" Leaf asked as she finished her meal. The group's aura had changed into that of seriousness rather than the calm but cheerful one that was present not to long before.

May stood up drawing the attention to herself. She was in the process of thought though she began to speak in a cool collect vibe asking Drew and Dawn got detail about the leader. Anything thing they knew to help the group prepare for the battle ahead.

There wasn't much the pair could tell though, just the looks of him and the exact time they saw him. "So we know a general look but if we run into him then we have a slight problem and need to be-" The stop of words confused the group though soon found themselves looking about as they felt something in the air.

"Oh please, continue, I would like to know what you are going to do against me." The voice was deep and ruff, coming from the building beside them. "Ahhh don't let me ruin your little conversation. I just came here to see what little pawns those god damn dragons sent this time." Fear dosed them, as the stood in place unable to move a muscle. "Fine don't introduce yourselves. I'll just look for myself."

In a flash he appeared beside Leaf, "you know you aren't really my type, but let's see what you have to offer." Before long hands roamed her body. Though not a single muscle moved of any of the teens.

"Leave her be you asshole!" Gary yelled as he forced himself to move forward against the pressure that held him still.
The man stopped touching Leaf and focused on the boy that was pushing the barriers. "Fine." With a flick of his fingers Leaf was thrown into the side of the building leaving a large dent in the stone.

Her scream was ear piercing. Tears streamed from her eyes and not a muscle moved still until being tossed to into the air. "Now who else is here…..oh you have rather nice tits there," red eyes locked onto May's chest.

"Don't you fucking dare." Drew's voice growled triggering the man to show a sinister smirk.

"Oh I hit a nerve there didn't I?" walking closer to the short hair brunette, smile growing wider he spoke. "It would be a shame if her little uniform were to be destroyed and she not have another one."

"I told you not to fucking dare do that to her!"

"Oh you don't understand. I can do what ever I please, I have you all as my little marionette dolls. In this position you can't move unless I tell you to." Standing over Drew looking down at the face of the young man, red eyes peered into the emerald. "I can control her body, I can do whatever I wish to with it. Hell, I might keep her after all this as my little pet." Taking a couple steps over to May he place his hand on her shirt. "Now let's see how wonderful these breasts are and all your little friend can have a good look."

"How about we don't humiliate the fire for brains?" Paul's voice chimed next to the man before kicking him away from the girl. "Shadow blade!" a large sword like shadow appeared in front of the purple haired teen before rushing forward at an incredible speed into the shoulder of the leader.

"How did you escape my chains!?" Letting out a growl of pain the man stood back up. The chains around his wrists and legs grew in length, rushing toward Paul. When they should have hit they continued forward into the already crumbled building.

Appearing in a flash before the man Paul swung his fist into the other man's face. "I have this really cool thing called a shadow body. Your chains don't do shit." Paul jumped back as the earth began to shake, grabbing the hands and legs of the platinum haired man.

"You know you really shouldn't forget about your guests. It's rude and I don't appreciate it." Paul went to help Leaf from the rooftop before in crumbled beneath her as the others slowly began to move their muscles once again.

"Good job you two." Misty congratulated as she walked over to the unnamed man. Dawn quickly began to work on Leaf's clearly broken arm and other wounds.
"So, this is how it's going to be hmm? In that case I shall introduce myself. The name is Nix, 5th God of the Dark Army."

And that is where I think I'll leave it. To be honest I am really having issues deciding how I want to write out the chapters but I know exactly how the last chapter is going to go and I love what I have planned for it. I'm hoping for 10-15 more chapters without it being overly rushed cause I know of 2 things that really need to happen near the end of battle time but other than that I gotta sort out those ideas.

Until next time,
Quilavamaster.
