Legends 27
Im a bit late but I have reasoning. I had a week off of work and was doing a bunch of different things, a metal festival on the first weekend which we drove to and then a concert and I had to start packing things away because people are coming to replace the windows in my house and then another day the floors are being done so I've been cleaning things and packing things away.
Now I'm back at work and writing on lunch again. So herrs the next chapter for you

About an hour had passed since Paul left May with Drew, and nothing had been keeping her entertained so she sat there bored. According to Drew at this current moment, a bored May is an annoying May, and he couldn't be more accurate. She had gone from throwing grass at him, then smalls rocks, and now she was braiding the boy's short hair and getting frustrated that it wouldn't stay braided. "shouldn't you be I don't know, resting? You aren't going to get back to battle if you don't at least sit still for a little while."
May stopped playing with his hair, poking her head around his to come face to face with him. "I am sitting here, just trying to entertain myself a little bit." She went back to behind him, now just running her fingers threw the green locks. "I need to be doing something or else I get fidgety."
"Trust me, I've noticed." Drew responded, enjoying the feeling of her small fingers entwined in his hair. "are you hungry at all? The camp offer me food this morning but I had to turn it down because some creatures were closing in."
"I thought you knew me by now, I will always accept food." May said with glee and she stood up in a hurry beginning to drag the green headed boy to the camp entrance.
The guards had let them in, giving them directions to the food hall area. Not long after, May sat at a table digging into the small meal. Drew sat across from her, not touching his food quite yet. "If you wont eat it I will." May stated, slowly pushing her hand towards his tray of food, though it was quickly slapped away.
"You have your own, I haven't eaten yet so not sharing with you. But the oxygen level in the barrier I made was dropping to normal so I raised it up a bit again so you can heal faster." The statement caused May to grow a little red but smile thankfully.
The two ate in silence, enjoying something that they didn't need to cook. Once they finished, they stood up to take the dishes back to the kitchen and clean them off. "Drew watch out!" May grabbed the hood pulling back towards her. Drew had managed to turn around and almost knock over a girl walking past.
"ah, sorry I didn't see you there." Scratching the back of his head, Drew apologized. The girl gave no response only pulling the hood of her dark blue sweatshirt further down her already concealed face. Her hair was long, and a deep chestnut brown, pulled forward to sway in front of her body. Walking off without a word, the ankle heighted black boots she wore clicked against the ground. "oookay, did she seem pissed off or wad it just me?"
The short haired girl rolled her eyes, walking past the confused Drew to return her dishes. A small clank was heard from the ground as she noticed she had kicked a rather large stone. Squaring down to get a closer look she picked it up noticing the attached dark steel chain that was attached to a loop on the stone. "What's that?" Drew asked, poking his head around the girl's body.
"I think it's a necklace but what's up the stone?" May asked, raising the stone to Drew's face for better examination.
"looks like a moonstone," he stated, running his fingers along the rough edges. "it might have fallen off of the girl, ill go give it to her, I mean she cant be that far from her now."
"Okay ill take your dishes, I'll meet you by the gate in ten?" May questioned, making sure that the two souls would have a meeting place so they could stick together. Drew nodded in agreement running off with a goodbye.

"that fucking bastard. I've been here for at least thirty minutes now." May stood at the discussed meeting place leaning on the wall, arms crossed in frustration. Lost in thought, she heard her name called out. Raising her head she noticed the waving hand of the body running towards her.
"May!" a feminine voice cried happily, the figure becoming clearer as it began to close in on her, long curled hair in a light colour. "May dear!" realization set in as the voice was recognised immediately. The teen began runni g towards the one yelling for her.
"Mom!" a long hug was shared as the mother and daughter were together after not being able to see or talk for almost three months. "I'm so glad you're safe, what about Max? And dad?" the worry was plastered to Mays face as she waited for the older woman's response. She needed to know that her family was safe, that they were unharmed and well taken care of here.
Caroline looked her daughter in the sapphire eyes on the brim of tears. A small smile formed at the selflessness that her daughter had, worrying about the ones she cared for so much. "they are just fine darling, don't worry." May let of a large sigh, had she really been holding her breath all that time? And was that blood on her shirt? Caroline's mind began to ask so many questions blurting them out to need to know the response of her only daughter. "How are you doing? You haven't been beaten too bad have you? Do you need me to dress any wounds?"
May let out a chuckle at her mom's actions, they went from reassuring to worried as could be in a matter of seconds. She let her know that everything was fine and that Dawn was able to heal anything she needed. Without realising another few minutes had past long enough for Drew to arrive at the meeting place. "hey sorry I took so long, the chick just disappeared so I gave it to a guard. And he apparently was your dad and so he wanted to check that everything was- oh hey Mrs. Maple." Drew's seemingly endless apology for his tardiness finally came to an end once he noticed the older woman next to May.
"Hello Andrew, how are you doing?" the two began a conversation leaving May to just stand there awkwardly.
"Hello, May? Can you hear me?" Dawn's voice rang through her head. "I couldn't get a hold of Drew so I'm hoping you respond."
"Ya, I hear you, loud and clear. What's up?" May responded through the telepathic wave that Dawn created. She turned away from her mom and Drew so she could focus on what Dawn was saying.
"Ya I got her, no I'm not, would you shush im trying to think to people!" Who the hell what she talking to? "sorry Ash is in a slight panic. Gary and Misty managed to find the forth leader. Misty says that she said something about the third about to attack so I needed to warn you two since you are alone. The only thing that we have heard is that she has some stone necklace thing" a loud smash was heard on the other side of the line, some yelling of commands from Dawn and then nothing.
"Dawn! Fuck!" May screamed ranting to herself as she tried to get Dawn's attention again.
"May! Calm down. What happened?" Drew now in a panic asked trying to get May to settle by putting his hands on her shoulders and forcing her to look at him.
"They are being attacked….the connection it went dead" May was worrying yet again. What type of leader was she if her friends ended up hurt because of her? "They..i don't know what to do…..i cant talk to them."
"Relax, they can handle themselves. You know that. They will be fine. What were they telling you?" May took a deep breath so that she could answer his question.
"Mist and Gary are in battle with the fourth leader, and they got information about another. It's only a little bit but they said that they had a stone like necklace on." A quiet voice was what he could hear but questioned to make sure that he heard that last part right.
"a stone necklace?" he asked. May nodded her head causing Drew's eyes to fill with fear and anger. "Caroline, get Max and run and hide. I don't know many people that wear a stone necklace but I know there is one odd girl here that owns one. Get out of here fast." May look at Drew, realizing what he meant. That girl from earlier. She could be a huge threat.
Caroline just nodded and ran off to find the young son and escape before anything happened. May and Drew decided to split once again and then once anything was found that they would send a signal in the sky.
May ran, telling everyone to leave the premises as quickly as they could. The idea to them caused a panic within the safety of the walls, this area was supposed to be safe not a place of war. Reaching the sleeping area she saw the blue hoodie from earlier quickly running into a small grass area. This girl had to be defeated and soon, there were too many civilians near by.
Finally catching up to the girl, May stopped in the field her arms were engulfed in large flames. "Now you're cornered." Raising her hand up to the sky she let out a large flamethrower like blaze; her signal to Drew. Panic screams could be heard at the sight of such dangerous flames.
"May! Help!" the eyes of said girl widened. It couldn't be. No. Her mom had gotten him and ran, just like Drew told her to do. But all hope was lost the moment the hooded girl turned, May's sweet need of a younger brother was there in the enemies grasp. Anger raged inside of her soul, the flames beginning to engulf her body, nobody were hurt her family.
"Let him go." There was no response from the girl, just edgy on May further than she had already become.
"Air slash!" Dark green wings sat in the sky, the boy that she had been waiting for ao that she could attack at long last. May stuck her right hand out to her side flames forming into a large bow, red and gold in colour. A quiver soon appeared full of match like arrows, pulling one out it immediately set a flame.
As she acted quickly to line her shot Drew's hands appeared before her. "My attack didn't land."
"So what I have better accuracy."
"It was lined up perfect, it just vanished. We need a strategy." May looked at him before he suddenly froze on spot. His eyes wide as he looked toward his side. Blood spilling out of a fresh new wound at an alarming rate. Mays eyes followed his head to notice the gouge as well quick to react as Drew couldn't even make out a cry of pain as the adrenaline pumped through his veins.
"Stay calm, I have to cauterize it. Its going to hurt, so just stay still." May said in a calming voice filled with worry. She lowered the flames on her body to just a small amount on her hands before placing them onto Drew's side causing a hiss of pain. His fist curled feeling the more pain than ever before. "I'm done what I can do. We'll need Dawn to tend to it right after we deal with her."
May looked back to the girl. Piercing ice blue eyes peeked out of her hood with a sinister grin on her face. From her lips came an evil laughter that ran shivers down your spine.
And that is that. Hope you enjoy as action begins to really happen. I'm tempted to change the rating to M just because I want there to be bloodshed but I'll check over the guidelines and then make the decision.
Leave a review or PM me. I love hearing your thoughts and opinions on the story. I am still looking for OCs. If you have them.
