Legends 32

Gary had reached the front entrance of the town's hotel and rushed inside. Before he could blink an eye he was pinned against the nearby wall a blade to his neck. After shifting his eyes downward at the aggressive figure it appeared to be the same girl he had seen on the roof moments ago. Her apperence had altered from when he last saw her, her eyes were a crimson red, that pierced through his body. Her hair had become black instead of white and the black highlights had become matching set to her eyes. Her lips twisted into a sinister grin and eyes that thirsted for blood to be spilled. "Where are those dragons?" her sweet voice now aggressively spat at him. After a moment of silence and refusal to speak the ice soul was tossed to the ground viciously. The tiles beneath him cracked and indented from the impact.

Gary attempted to stand, but by the time he got on his hands an knees he was pushed back down roughly into the shards of tile. He groaned in pain as the shards had caused a few new cuts into his torso. "I didn't say stand you pathetic piece of shit. I want you to tell me where those dragons are." Her voice was harsh but he still remained silent. "tell me!" a sharp pain emitted from his core. He knew that the sword Riko held was now in his back. Muttering to the only words he could get out but he knew they were to silent for her to hear.

He heard the shifting of her body. Her head now placed closer to his mouth telling him to speak up. "fuck you." The anger was addible in her growling. She had walked away from him briefly. Enough for him to gather himself back together through the pain and focused on the steel that was still placed in his back, allowing for the freezing touch to be placed at the handle. Her foot steps grew louder yet again, this time with the sound of something being dragged. And before long the limp body was dropped with no care next to Gary's left side. He turned his head carefully not to move his body to much.

Thus sight was something he was not ready for. The girl that he had been looking for, his good friend, the aggressive hothead, she was practically lifeless. Her body bruised, dried blood on her face from a cut on her head, her orange locks were tattered from sweat near the gash was coated in dark red. Her hand looked to be broken. She was a disaster, he could hear her feint heart beat by focusing on it to be sure that she hadn't been killed. "tell me or a kill her in front of you."

Mind racing he tried to come up with something for a plan. Something that could save him or Misty. But nothing could come to mind. He was frozen, he had never felt like thus, he always had a plan. But now, even if he told Riko what she wanted to know, he knew that they would both still be dead.

"I'm sorry Misty." Tear once again fell from his eyes in front of the one he knew was strong. Movement from Riko was heard again, mumbling something about idiocy.

"You asked for this yourself." She spat ay him. And went to what he assumed would be to grab her sword. The moment she touched the grip the blade shattered from the cold Gary caused it. The blades fell toward him though bounced off of a quick shield he forced upon his back. The wound didn't bleed as he had frozen it over, red ice covering the new hole through his body.

Riko let out a growl holding her hand which Gary assumed froze partially when she made contact with the blade. He pushed the pain to the back of his mind quickly standing and launching a spear of ice towards the girl. The spear had struck her side, tearing the skin slightly but due to his weak composure it didn't do as much damage as he had hoped. It took most of his energy just to stand because of the stab wound but he forced himself to summon his blade.

Gary began to charge forwards, stumbling slightly in the process. Raising his weapon in both hands, his plan was to stab Riko while she was still recovering from his earlier freezing. The flaw with this plan was that Riko was able to move much quicker than himself so she had moved out of the way, noticing him as he had approached her. Without the now raven haired girl to attack, Gary aimed to stop and try hos plan once again, running out of strength though, he toppled to the ground yet again, sword still in hands as he lay there.

"oh please, you're as practically as dead as your little friend there so you may as well give up now." He could hear her snarky voice, she was taunting him, trying to make him back down.

"no. I cant do it." The boys mind raced trying to come up with some sort of plan. "I cant just let Misty die. She has a family. She has dreams after all of this is over. She needs to live." His eyes forced themselves to the unconscious ginger. She still showed no signs of waking up but he knew she was fighting to stay alive.

"Ooo, what a lovely blade you have there." The villainous voice echoed through his mind. "It'd be such a shame if dome one took it from you." She pressed her foot against his head, pressing it into the tiles beneath him. "now, you have one last chance ti answer me. I need information and you wont tell me, and if you don't tell me I will find each one of your friends one by one until there are none left." He could sense the evil smirk that had set itself upon her lips. "Where. Are. Those. God. Damned. Dragons?" he refused to speak, the others would be fine. They were stronger than him.

"Fine then. You asked for your own death." She leaned down showing the sword that formed from darkness into her hand. "since you've been so inconsiderate of the options I have given you I'll use two weapons to end you. My lovely shadow blade and your ice blade. Both to go through that think skull of yours." She lifted herself back up. He waited for her to take the blade he held in his hands as tight as he could, but after what seemed like hours nothing came to take his blade and he was still breathing. Though it was difficult, he was still breathing. Looking to his side he saw his friend and companion. The raven haired boy's shoulder covered in cape that reached his knees while the other was bare showing the large scar that he had received weeks ago.

Gary took note of the small throw able weapon surrounding him, he was caged inside of a static cloud. Looking over to Misty, she had the dame situation. Ash had gone against May's orders and come to help despite his healing. Though at this point who was Gary to say, he was barely alive and that was thanks to Ash for disobeying the brunette leader.

The spiked haired boy tried to focus on the battle at hand, analyzing the enemy. She had a similar power to what Paul had though his was quicker transformation as well as a shadow body. Seeing the weapons stick to her body he gather that she didn't have that same ability. Every time she would take to the shadows Ash threw his Shuriken in front of where she would head letting it discharge once she traveled along that spot. Ash was winning and that was clear to him but what he couldn't understand was how Riko hadn't been using her speed to catch him like she had himself.

Then it came back to the boy, while she held him pinned she used both hands. Now she was only using what looked to be one. His freezing had done damage and froze her hand so she couldn't use it at all. It wasn't what his plan was but it was working out for his teammate's sake.

Gary had stopped focusing on the battle for a moment, focusing back to it he sae Ash being held up by another man. One that had not been here moment before hand. He hadn't even recognized him, not that he could from the shadowy figure. Maybe it was part of Riko's power. Though she hadn't seemed capable of doing such a thing during the fight Ash had been putting up. He watch as Riko lifted her sword again, this time to Ash's head. Anger began to fill through him, she raised a weapon towards another one of his friends. Another on of his companions. He wouldn't let Ash die either. If anyone were going to die. It would be Gary himself.

Mustering all the power he had left in himself Gary lifted his body to sit up, throwing his right hand forward to release an icy chill. Hitting Riko dead on he knew he struck her, freezing her ling enough from Ash to escape and get help.

For Gary, everything turned black.
