Usually I'd wait but feels like I need to go on...
The Maze
The two brown haired men sat in a corner, not feeling at ease in the least. Ted and Cody called for one of the waitresses an ordered two glasses of scotch. The bartender kept an eye on themm at all time wich was annoying the hell out them.
« They look at us like we are the problem, can't believe your old man would put us up to this... » Cody fussed, grimacing after having a sip of the cheap liquor. « This cannot be alcohol, this is poison ! This is unfair... »
Indeed anyone with eyes could see those two didn't belong in here. Ted shut him up with a glance.
« If my dad says we must make new friends, we make new friends. He knows better than you and he pays for everything. Could be worse if... »
He regretted his words as soon as he uttered them. Because at that very moment, an old friend came through the door and locked eyes with the pair. Orton smiled a little and not even stopping he took a seat right across Cody and Ted.
« So funny the two of you showed up in a place like this... Tired of daddy's brand ? » The Viper chuckled as he saw a beam of sweat trickle down Ted's forehead.
« Yes... F-funny... That's the word... » the younger man stammered. « Actually, we were looking for a change of scenery. Never hoped to see you again. Thought you'd skipped town. »
« Actually, I did for a while but I got homesick. I got to see Ireland, made some friends there and got back home... Europe was not for me, maybe you should try it. Might even save your ass someday and Daddy's got the doe for that sort of things, right ! But then again nothing memorable about your ass... Or his !» He nodded in Cody's direction and got up before the pair had the chance to respond. « Don't provoke any of us, you attack my family... You pay the price... »
The boys sat silently for a while before Ted finally could speak again.
- « Might be harder than we thought, good thing Evan is already in place, let's hope he gets better results... »
He caught a glimpse of him smiling down on Jay at the other side of the room. The boy would have to do,there were ways to ensure it. Sure he looked very pretty, he had to maintain his look to earn money like any other whore so he could understand how they would take that away if he didn't get to the guy they were looking for, right ?!
Threats, threats, threats... Works on a lot of people.
