He was not happy to see them, but he understood the miko's reason so he allowed them in and showed them to a room that held thousands of scrolls.
"The miko has decided to move forward with this?" Sesshomaru asked Kikyo who was rolling out scrolls "Would I be here if not?" She asked,
"What info do you seek"
Kikyo looked up at him "Half-breed pregnancies"
Sesshomaru moved about and then back with a book and handed it to Kikyo, she opened "This belonged to Inuyasha mother" She started looking at it,
"Hn"
"This will prove useful" She stated,
"Lord Sesshomaru, do you happened to have anything in regards to a miko and demon pregnancy?" Miroku asked,
"I am unaware if such thing has occurred before," He said,
Miroku looked concerned,
"Speak monk"
Miroku sighed "Perhaps it is because it has never been possible"
Kikyo turned to him,
"Think about it, when Sesshomaru's energy rises her rise and they bite each other" Miroku stated "Holy power is the negative of demonic power if it grows her power will kill it but for some reason the babe is stronger, it will kill her, I think there is only a slight chance of survival, logically speaking"
He sighed "One dies or they both die" Miroku scratched the back of his head.
"Perhaps not, Inuyasha told me once that you stopped one of Kagome's arrows, did you not?" Kiyko asked,
"Hn"
"I remember that!" Miroku said "I was there"
Kikyo turned fully to the demon Lord "Then it is up to you"
"Explain"
"You can stop her power" She stated holding the book under her arm "You need to make a decision"
"Is it not her choice?" He asked,
"Kagome would rather die than force to end her pregnancy, she already knows there is a heartbeat, it would go against everything she is" Miroku pointed out,
"Your choice" Kikyo stated again and firmly and both she and Miroku were looking dead at him. His choice?
"She may do as she wishes" He wasn't ready to come to terms yet, within her she carried a half-breed, half demon, half power, just like this brother, weak.
"No" Kikyo stated,
He glared at her, did she just tell him no?
"Do you wish to greet death again miko?"
"Would you so easily kill a pregnant woman?" She asked of herself, a life grew within her too, he would be an uncle to a human, at first the thought made him angry but then his thoughts drifted to Rin, but Rin was different, Rin was not his, his blood did not run through her.
"You have to make a choice if they are to live she will need to be with you"
His honor was telling him he had to, but did he want to? Sesshomaru was never one to do what other people wanted, only what he wanted and this was not all his fault, yet it wasn't all hers either.
The least he could do is save her and, their unborn child.
"Bring her when she is in need" That didn't mean she had to be with him, and once the child was born, he would leave them to their own device, what she did with their child was up to her, he could teach it nothing.
Kikyo's eyes became dark "Right now Inuyasha is beside her offering what little demonic power he has to keep her at bay, she is in pain it is not as simple as bringing her to you whenever" She snapped,
"I concur, I am a no longer concerned with whats inconvenient for you, Lord Sesshomaru," Miroku said with a clear look of concentration on his face "With all due respect"
They were either brave or foolish, how dare they come here and talk to him like that, respect of no respect.
"She cannot be moved, without you, Inuyasha is only keeping her pain at bay, while laying down" Kikyo pressed on "You will come with us, if your decision is to save them"
Kikyo looked at Miroku and bowed her head, him back at her, then they began to walk out,
"Are you coming" She then asked,
His gold eyes stood strong against her own brown ones when she turned around breaking her silent threat, he simply followed and not because she told him to,
He would save them, but only once, whatever happened after the childs birth would be no conern of his.
