Hello, everyone! I hope that you all have read the chapter that I posted the same day I started writing this, otherwise insomniac Raineyes is gonna be… Well, actually, I'll be okay with it, Ive been there.

Mist Muse: Why are you specifically mentioning that you were sleep-deprived?

Crystal Muse: Yeah, I mean, why even start it out like a "or else" statement?

Furytalon Muse: I think at this point she's just going to be rambling.

Stalagmite: Probably, knowing her.

Me: Twitchy eye Now you understand why I had trouble sleeping…?

Clementine Muse: No, actually. Why DID you have trouble sleeping? I'm kinda serious here. And I mean, who ruined the scroll?

Ignite Muse: Wasn't me! I was in meal cave with Crystal!

Crystal Muse: Unfortunately… Seriously, how come I have to be the fire department?!

Ember Muse: Quietly to me I apologize on their behalves…

Me: Groans Don't worry about it… The problem with having a rush of inspiration…. Is that the muses WON'T GIVE ME A MOMENTS PEEEEAAAAACE!

Inferno Muse: Pfft, if you're that upset about it, then just do the disclaimer already. That always seems to MOSTLY shut them up.

Everyone but Me and Ember Muses: HEY!

Me: Okay, okay…

I do not own Wings of Fire. Wings of Fire is completely owned by Tui T. Sutherland. (And I apologize in advance if none of my theories turn out to be true in the next book arc)

"What do you MEAN someone did it on purpose?!" Clementine demanded, appalled that her best friend would even suggest such a horrendous act had been done intentionally. I guess it makes sense why Clementine would be upset about this… Oh man, orange is starting to show in her scales… I hope that anger isn't directed towards me Mist worried before pointing towards the leafy cushions around the scroll.

"Look, see? It couldn't have just been an accidental spill… Somebody did this on purpose… They WANTED the scroll to be PARTIALLY illegible, but not all of it… So it would SEEM like an accident, I'm guessing." She reasoned, a misty mixture of green, orange and purple spiraling throughout her scales, which was slowly accompanied by a gloomy blueish-gray waging war with an angry, aggressive red. "The only question is WHY? Why in the name of Phyrria would anyone destroy or partially ruin a scroll like this? And it's ONLY this section…" Before Mist or Clementine could continue their thought process any further, Starflight's ears perked up, and he swiveled his head around in the direction of their voices.

"A scroll's been ruined?!" He squeaked, his voice shrilling (Wow, Mist mused momentarily. His voice probably jumped up at LEAST six octaves…). He swiftly yet steadily made his way over to his fellow bookworms, fumbling around until he found one end of the scroll. "What happened?!" The blind librarian demanded, his voice more panicky than accusatory.

"We really don't know, Mr. Starflight… We just came back in, hoping to keep on reading it, but the part right where we stopped has ink or something spilled all over it…" Clementine explained, a sullen sapphire blue and gray began to dominate her scales. Starflight nodded in slight despair, tracing his talons over the title of the scroll, as if trying to find out which scroll it had once been so as to rewrite a new copy.

"We were at the part about the nine forgotten tribes… That's when we heard the screams and ran off to investigate. We should have at least put the scroll on your desk before running off… We're really sorry, Starflight…" Mist added, shamefully hanging her head. Starflight merely smiled reassuringly in her general direction, still upset, but at least not angry at them.

"Don't worry about it; luckily this scroll isn't one of a kind, so we can get a new one… Then again, it'll probably take a while, so we might have to wait quite a long time before we're able to replace this one… I mean, it's possible that we can fix this one, but we'd have to wait until we get the copy so we can rewrite it. Sorry about that, you two…" He explained, slightly rambling. Mist frowned slightly. Darn it, I was THIS CLOSE to getting answers! She silently complained, letting out a sigh. Oh well… I guess it just means I'll have to wait just a little bit longer… At the thought of having the answers she so craved being stripped from her right before she was able to get them, Mist sighed again, a frustrated orange seeping through her scales. Guess I'll just have to wait…
