Ch 5 Take a Dive
Last time on Cartoon Drama Revenge of the Island. The teams were tasked with finding there respective mascots. Amethyst was losing patience with her alliance teammates and Lalavava wasn't willing to play second fiddle. Steven was sad that Pearl was gone and the Beetles just kept on getting stronger as a team. In the end it was Amethyst who was sent home thanks to Lalavava and her planning. Who will be our next lucky loser? How can the Narwhals win with a broken team? Early in the morning while the other's were asleep Lalavava was practicing her ballet when Steven and Garnet approached her looking mad.
"Why did you get rid of Amethyst and Pearl?" Steven asked her mad that his friends were gone.
"I didn't do anything. It was all Amethyst. She was the one who asked Brick and I to join her in an alliance. Afterwards she was the one who decided to eliminate Pearl. I didn't even vote for her it was Amethyst and Mojo that eliminated Pearl. Afterwards Amethyst tried to use me even though we agreed to be equals. I merely returned the favor by turning on her." Lalavava explaining to them not really caring. Steven turned to look at Garnet not sure if he should believe Lalavava or not.
"Tell me the truth Lalavava did you eliminate the other crystal gems because you felt threatened by the fact that there are four of us?" Garnet asked her.
"No that had nothing to do with it. Now will you leave me alone? I'm trying to practice." Lalavava told them irritated.
"One last question for you. If you lose today then will you eliminate Steven?" Garnet asked.
"Only if he does something to deserve it. Personally I'm more inclined to eliminate Mojo because I'm tired of his ranting." Lalavava told them trying to get rid of them. Steven and Garnet were content with her answers and decided to let her get back to her practice.
"Do you think she's telling the truth about Amethyst being the reason Pearl is gone?" Steven asked Garnet as soon as they were out of Lalavava's audio range.
"I think she is telling the truth. She has no incentive for lying. Besides Amethyst and Pearl have always had issues. In a serious battle they can cooperate but for a competition like this I wouldn't put it past them." Garnet told Steven.
"If only you were on our team Garnet then you could have made sure Amethyst and Pearl got along." Steven said looking down sadly.
"Don't worry about that Steven. Just take care of yourself now. Lalavava and Brick are not the most trustworthy teammates." Garnet warned Steven. The two of them were heading back to their respective cabins. Before Garnet made it back to the girls cabin though I.M. Weasel intercepted her.
"Excuse me Garnet but I couldn't help but notice you were speaking to Steven and Lalavava. Do you mind informing me as to what that was all about?" I.M. Weasel asked her curious as to what she was doing with the other team.
"Don't worry about it I was simply doing my friend a favor." Garnet told I.M. Weasel. He wasn't completely satisfied with that answer though.
"Garnet your one of the best assets our team has. You can trust me with any information you might have." I.M. Weasel told her trying to get more information out of her.
"Like I said I was just doing my friend a favor. Steven wanted to ask Lalavava about Amethyst and Pearl's eliminations. I simply went along to make sure she wouldn't avoid the question. Now if you'll excuse me I'd like to rest a bit before Chris announces the next challenge." Garnet told him. As soon as she finished talking with him though Chris made the announcement for all the competitors to meet at the beach.

"Garnet's right Lalavava always seems to be up to something. I should be more careful from here on out." Steven said thinking to himself.
"Now that Amethyst is gone Lala said she was taking over the alliance. There's no point if it's just us two but I don't want to get back on her bad side so I'll just follow along for now." Brick said.
"I.M. Weasel was a little too persistent right now. He's a great teammate but I wonder how much he trusts the rest of us." Garnet thought to herself.

"Alright I'm glad you're all here. Today's challenge is going to be a fun one. The reason I've called you all to the beach is because you'll be diving into the water. At the bottom of the ocean we've scattered several keys. There's probably over 200 keys down there but only one will open this chest. You can use whatever you want to try and reach the ocean floor. Whichever team finds the right key wins." Chris explained to them. The teams then started to plan how they would approach this situation.
"Mojo do you think that you could build us a submarine? That seems like the best possible idea." Lalavava suggested.
"Why of course for I Mojo Jojo can build anything. I shall use the tools and materials at my disposal to make this for us. Using my invention which I will build we shall acquire victory..." Mojo started to rant until Brick punched him effectively shutting him up but also knocking him out.
"Nice going idiot you knocked him unconscious. Now what are we supposed to do." Lalavava yelled at Brick.
"You know he wasn't going to shut up anytime soon. Why don't you figure out what to do since you're so good at ordering people around." Brick yelled right back at her.
"I wouldn't have to order people like you around if you didn't mess up like you always do." Lalavava told Brick angrily.
"Oh yeah because your so perfect right. You care more about your stupid girly little ballerina career then this competition sometimes." Brick told her while also getting closer to her.
"I already told you I'm a professional ballet dancer not a ballerina." Lalavava said clenching her hand in a fist.
"Nobody cares but you. You dumb wimpy little girl." Brick told her about to punch her. The two of them were about to fight until Steven put got in between them and made a bubble to separate them.
"Can both of you please stop fighting. We'll never win at this rate. Come on you can work out your issues later but right now we need to get to work. Brick you and I can hold our breaths longer than Lalavava because of our powers so let's try and see how many keys we can get while Mojo recovers." Steven said trying to get them to work together. The two of them glared at each other but then started to work.

"Hopefully I never have to do that again. Breaking up their fight was to much for me to handle. Although even though they looked like they wanted to kill each other it kinda seemed as if they were almost going to kiss. That's a little weird." Steven said.

"Well that was quite interesting. Let's check in with the Beetles and see how they're taking care of the situation." Chris said laughing at the Narwhal's conflict.
"Listen up team here's what we're going to do. When I was traveling through Europe I learned from some very kind monks how to hold my breath for an extended period. Garnet also being a gem doesn't even need to breath. Therefore I say that the two of us can search while Princess Bubblegum works on creating the rest of you some type of breathing apparatus." I.M. Weasel told his team.
"What so Cow and I are just supposed to sit around doing nothing for a while?" Rigby asked him annoyed he didn't have an actual part.
"For now yes. It's fine though because you don't have any skills that will specifically help here." I.M. Weasel told him indifferently.
"Hold on I.M. Weasel Rigby and Cow aren't just dead weight. They're just as important to the team." Princess Bubblegum told him.
"It's a nice sentiment Princess but the fact of the matter is that they are the weakest members of our team. What can they do to help out?" I.M. Weasel asked her not seeing her point.
"Mr. Weasel I think what the princesses is trying to say is that each person can provide help in someway." Garnet told him calmly.
"Yeah just because you know how to do a million things doesn't mean you can do everything by yourself." Rigby told him snidely. I.M. Weasel looked around at his teammates and then sighed.
"Very well you all do what you think is best. But if we lose it's because my plan was perfect and you decided to ignore it." I.M. Weasel told them tired of arguing.

"I don't see why they just won't listen to me. I'm merely telling the truth and trying to get us to victory." I.M. Weasel said confused.
"Man that guy is really annoying me. He's perfect at everything and thinks that gives him the right to look down on us." Rigby said annoyed.
"It was nice of the others to stand up for me but Mr. Weasel was right. I can't help out. I only get in the way." Cow said sadly.

Brick and Steven were talking turns grabbing keys and handing them off to Lalavava. Meanwhile Garnet and I.M. Weasel were both grabbing as many keys as they could and handing them off to Rigby, Cow, and Princess Bubblegum.
"This isn't working. They're going faster than us, Mojo is still unconscious, and you two can't get enough keys." Lalavava yelled at Brick and Steven.
"We need to pick up the pace as well. By my calculations at the rate we are going it'll take another three or four hours to find the right key." I.M Weasel told his team.
"How exactly do you expect us to speed things up when we're going at this blindly. There's no way to know what key is correct until we try it out." Princess Bubblegum told I.M. Weasel.
"I'm with her on this. What do you suggest we do genius? Brick asked both Lalavava and I.M. Weasel, although it was directed more towards Lalavava. I.M. Weasel thought for a moment then went over to Lalavava.
"Listen at this rate we'll never finish. I say we team up and get this over with. Let the winner be decided randomly." He told her.
getting tired of the same repetitive tasks. Lalavava though about it and then agreed.
"Deal, this challenge was much more luck based than skill based anyways so we might as well get it over with." She told him shacking his hand. The two of them called over their teammates so they could come up with a group plan.
"Wow Mojo is still out cold. How hard did you hit him?" Rigby asked Brick surprised.
"I don't know and I don't care. It's a good thing he's quiet now." Brick said laughing.
"Will you two idiots focus. Weasel and I have come up with a plan." Lalavava said getting their attention.
"It's actually I.M. Weasel not just Weasel but regardless we are going to combine our teams for this challenge since it's mainly a luck based challenge. Rather than taking turns like we have been we will all dive underwater at once then if we each grab at least 20 keys we should have all of the ones that are left. Then we simply take turns trying to open the chest until one of us wins." I.M. Weasel explained to them all. They did as he said and they each grabbed keys until there weren't any left in the water. They took turns until finally after almost 80 keys it opened.

The Biohazard Beetles. Looks like the Narwhals will be down to three after tonight." Chris announced.
"Well I guess were eliminating Mojo since he didn't do anything." Brick said uninterested.
"You were the one who knocked him out. I should've eliminated you long ago instead of messing with you." Lalavava told him angrily.
"Well too bad. It's my turn and I say Mojo. I'm sure Steven will be voting for him as well." Brick replied to her.
"You really don't get it do you Brick. You do what I say when I say it. Joining Amethyst was my idea and eliminating her was also my idea. You haven't had a single idea that wasn't influenced by me." Lalavava told him laughing.
"Wh... wh... what about when I voted for you? Th... th... that was my idea." Brick said stuttering nervously.
"The time you voted for me was also the day I kissed you. I didn't expect Pearl to be eliminated and I didn't care what I did want was for you to waste your vote on me." Lalavava revealed to him.
"Why did you want me to waste my vote, and then why did you vote for me that day? Did you only kiss me to mess with my head?" Brick yelled at Lalavava.
"Sorry Brick but you'll have to wait to get those answers. It's time for us to vote." Lalavava laughed before heading off to vote.

"Ugh how long was I out? And how did me lose again?" Mojo asked groggily.
"I cannot stand Lalavava anymore. I thought she was a cool girl but I guess not. I don't even know if she likes me. Whatever I'm voting her off. No! ... She wants me to waste my vote again. I'm sticking with my plan to get rid of that annoying monkey." Brick said angry and unsure.
"Well that was fun. The worst part of having this few people is the merge arrives far to fast. I need to make sure Brick listens to me 100% before then. I should be able to get into his head completely by next challenge. He's cute but he's also an idiot. Thankfully though I can use that to my advantage. I'll go ahead and humor him though and vote for Mojo." Lalavava said while smirking.

"I'd say I'm surprised to see you here but I'm not. Every season seems to have that one team that just can't win. Now usually for these eliminations I enjoy building up tension but today it's clear who the loser is. In a 3 to 1 vote going home today is

Mojo Jojo." Chris announced to the team.
"What that is impossible. I should not have lost I am Mojo Jojo. I am the greatest. I am the most evil. I should be the victor not the loser. I should be receiving my cash reward not leaving empty handed." Mojo ranted on. Before he could keep on going Chef grabbed him and took him away.
"Thank goodness that's over with. I couldn't stand another one of his rants. Now with 3 members left how will the Narwhals win? Will Lalavava get Brick under her control? Will I.M. Weasel learn to treat everyone on his team as equals? Find out next time on Cartoon Drama Revenge of the Island." Chris signed off.
A/N: To anybody reading this I didn't think I'd ever continue this story or this series to be honest. I stated the Cartoon Drama series back when I was in high school, and upon rereading it recently I realized just how terrible it is. I had great ideas, but my execution was terrible. It was terribly written for many reasons. First I used script format starting off. I thought that would make it easier to read, but it actually just made it a mess. Secondly, i had absolutely no sense of grammar or spelling. I spelled everything terribly and had little to no punctuation. There was also no detail in my stories. Still despite all these flaws I had a group of people following the Cartoon Drama series. It is for this reason I have chosen to continue after years of it being gone. I realized despite how much I grew to hate it there were still people that loved it and wanted to see more. Maybe someday I will rewrite the first 3 seasons to make them better, but I doubt it. I had planned for this to be 10 seasons long and I am determined to finish those 10 seasons no matter how bad it was or no matter how bad it'll be. I still have all of the plans for those 10 seasons saved including cast lists, elimination order, and plot points. I just need to write it all out. If you are new to Cartoon Drama then go ahead and read the previous three seasons. They are very short, but as I mentioned before they are quite bad. If you are an old fan then be happy it is because of individuals like yourself that I have decided to continue. This chapter and the last one were old ones I had saved but expect future chapters to be better quality. They won't be that long since I don't plan on spending too much time on this series, but they will hopefully be better. Let's just see how things turn out in the future.
