Klaus could not believe what Tyler had been doing behind his back. He didn't really know if turning several times would in fact break the sire bond. But he did know that Bill Forbes had trained himself to not be compelled by a vampire, even without using vervain.
Also, Bill Forbes should be dead. He knew Bill was one of the victims that was just murdered. Even remembered wanting to ask Caroline about it at the ball. David made the portal when he carved an X in the stump, but he did not send him back to the right time.
Klaus didn't know what to do. So he started making his way to the stump once again. He thought maybe if he carved another X in the stump, perhaps David would see it and re-open the portal. But as soon as Klaus got close to the stump, he seen a portal pop up. He just jumped in.
This time he seen David.
"My bad!" David yelled out. "I don't know what happened?! It's probably this ancient stone losing its juju magic!" He added in.
"You're using a stone?, Why didn't you tell me?" Klaus asked. "Well I told you to be in and out, So did you save Maddox?" David replied.
"No, no I didn't even go, I had changed my mind, didn't won't to risk what I have now" Klaus explained. David had a disappointing look on his face.
"But, I found out that my hybrid is trying to break his sire bond behind my back!" Klaus added. "So what does that mean?" David asked. "It means I have nothing to lose, I want another go. I need to stop Bill Forbes from interfering with my hybrids." Klaus answered.
"But I don't know if this stone has enough magic in it to get you back, you would definitely have to be in and out." David said. "That's not enough time" Klaus said while shaking his head. "Unless" David blurted out while he was thinking of a solution. "I could just leave you in the past." David finally added.
"Leave me there? Wouldn't I risk running into myself causing a paradox or whatever?!" Klaus asked. "No see with this stone, you jump into your past body. I just make your past body go wherever. So there's no back to the future stuff, where you could accidentally run into your self" David explained. "You already know everything and what you need to do. Just stay in the past, you would only be a couple months behind." David added in.
Well it would be the best thing. In case something was to happen off course, Klaus would be there to instantly catch it and fix it. "And the back up plan, if this is a huge mistake?" Klaus asked.
"Call me. Call my past self. This ancient stone was passed down in my family, I have it buried in my basement. We can redo everything to play out like it did the first time." David explained.
The two men agreed to leave Klaus in the past. Just a few months back from their present time. David begin to open the portal. "Good Luck" David yelled out. Klaus just waved and jumped through.
As soon as Klaus jumped through the portal he started walking through the woods but this time he walked as though he was on a mission. "First things first, I need to figure out what day it is." Klaus said out loud to himself. He figured he would go to the Mystic grill, see what's going on and then go from there.
