Who is that? Elijah? Klaus thought to himself. He overheard Elena telling Elijah that Katherine was in the tombstone with the moonstone. That's right. I was wondering when Elijah was going to come into play. He continued to think to himself.
Klaus saw Rose running outside. "And where do you think your going?" Klaus asked her with a smirk grabbing her. When Rose realize who he was she yelled, "No Elijah pardoned me, I'm free. Please.".
"Calm down" Klaus compelled Rose. She stopped trying to get free and calmed down. "Now, How did you get here" Klaus asked nicely. We heard that Katherine Peirce was alive and didn't die in the fire. So we came to try to find her to bargain our freedom. We found better, we found her doppelgänger, a human doppelgänger. Please! Elijah has her now, for my freedom" She explained.
"He killed Trevor" she added in. "Serves him right, that traitor." Klaus yelled. He looked Rose in the eyes. "You will forget seeing me" he compelled her to forget. Rose went running off and he heard his doppelgänger unharmed and her bodyguards coming out. After they left he went inside and saw Elijah pinned up to the door. "Poor Brother" Klaus said out loud. He didn't know if he should help him or leave him. He remembered that Elijah was trying to kill him after the sacrifice. He wanted to skip all that. But he couldn't chance changing anything. So Klaus left him.
"Get up your going back to the tombstone" Klaus demanded to Katherine. "What? Why?" Katherine asked. "My brother is in town and he thinks you're there. He will be wanting to see you." Klaus explained while grabbing her. "Elijah?" Katherine was kind of excited to see him but kind of scared. She created the fight between Elijah and Klaus many years ago. She was scared that Elijah was still mad about that. Klaus dragged her back to the tombstone.
"Well in you go". Klaus said while pushing Katherine into the entrance. "Wait! What if you need me?" Katherine yelled as she was trying to get out of the tomb. She quickly realized it was spelled and she couldn't leave. "Oh, well I doubt that. But don't worry I'll see you again" Klaus said as he threw the moonstone at her and started moving the rock over the entrance. "And remember Katerina, you can't tell anyone that I'm here" he added in as he was leaving.
Klaus went back to the apartment and plopped down on the sofa. "I thought this would be fun" he said to Mason. "It's not?" Mason asked. "No! Ive been running around trying to make sure that everything is in place even though I don't have all the details of what happened before I got here. It's exhausting". Klaus explained. He really just wanted to hang out with Caroline and make sure she was okay. Since Tyler wasn't around and involved.
The next day Klaus was afraid to go out and about into town. In case Elijah was around. He didn't know when he would show up but he knew it had to be soon. He decided to go for a walk in the woods and clear his head. Not expecting to run into Caroline, there she was walking with Elena headed to the tombstone. He couldn't help but to follow.
He heard her leave Elena with Katherine and decided to follow her back through the woods. He waited til she got far away out of hearing reach of Katherine to say something.
"Now why is this beautiful girl wondering through the woods at a time like this, skipping school?" Klaus said as Caroline stopped. "It's you, from the masquerade." Caroline said as she realized he was way much handsome than what she thought. He did have a mask on at the ball. "It is me indeed, love." Klaus answered with a smile moving in slowly and closer. "I was actually heading to school right now... if you would like to walk with me? You can." Caroline said flirting with Klaus. Klaus held out his arm and Caroline grabbed on. They began to walk.
"So why did you compel me and how?" Caroline asked because that question had been stuck in her head since the ball. "Why worry you with all the details, when you have enough on your plate?" Klaus replied trying to not answer the question. Caroline didn't even try to say anything because she did have a lot on her plate dealing with Katherine and now this new vampire threat Klaus, whoever that was. But did he know all this? Caroline thought to herself.
"Okay.. well can you at least answer one of my questions like, Why are you here?" Caroline asked with a smile and a obvious confused look. "Because of you of course" he answered making Caroline even more confused. "I haven't left since I've seen you at The Masquerade ball. I would like to get to know you" Klaus added in with puppy dog eyes. "I don't even know your name, Mysterious Masquerade Man" Caroline said still in a flirting manner. "I just now seen your face!" She added in.
"Very well, it's a date then?" Klaus asked. "It's a date then...guy." Caroline agreed but still hinting around that she didn't know his name.
"I'm sorry love, you can call me Nik" Klaus said as he caught on to the hint. He was very happy that she agreed to a date with him. " And you can call me Caroline" she replied. "And What a lovely name, Caroline." Klaus replied back with the biggest smile.
They were already at the school by now and Caroline let go of Klaus's arm and started walking toward school. She turned around and yelled "meet me here tonight at 8! And don't be late!"
