The next morning Klaus had sent Maddox and Mason out to find Isobel. He remembered from his present it was around this time that he had compelled her. It didn't take them long. "She was exactly where you said she would be" Maddox said as Mason threw her body down.

They had to tie her upside down to drain the vervain from her system. "Where am I?" Isobel said as she woke up. Mason stabbed her in the arm making a long deep gash. Isobel started to yell out in pain. Klaus kneeled down, "You're exactly where you need to be" he said with a smirk.

"Klaus?...I've been looking for you everywhere." She yelled out. "I'll tell you where the doppelgänger is for Katherine's freedom" she added. Klaus started chuckling, "Your're a little late to be bargaining" he said. Mason cut another gash as the previous wound healed up. Isobel yelled out again. "I already have everything I need." Klaus said. "You do?" Isobel asked. "I do." He replied.

"So Damon is alive but Bonnie lost her ..." Caroline said as she burst through the door. She froze for a second. "What in the sick and twisted blood bath torture is going on here?" Caroline asked. "Sweetheart, I wasn't expecting you" Klaus jumped up and in front of Caroline. "Well I came by to tell you everything" she replied. "You don't have to keep updating me. I have plenty of others for that love" Klaus said. Caroline pushed him to the side. "You didn't tell me this part of the story." She said waiting for him to explain.

"I'm draining the vervain out of her body, it works better if you hang them upside down." Klaus answered. "You didn't hang me upside down" she mentioned. "Well I like you" he answered with a smirk. "She deserves this anyways. She was gonna give up Elena for Katherine's freedom. Vampires are ruthless." Mason said while interrupting the moment and making another gash in her arm. "Elena is the doppelgänger, she's gonna die anyways" Isobel yelled out. "This is probably going to be a while love, Why don't you go check on your friends?" Klaus suggested to Caroline. "No, I want to stay for this." She answered. "You want to stay?" He asked to make sure. Caroline shook her head yes. "I'll catch up with them later, we're having a girls night tonight" she said. "Very well" Klaus said as he let her pass him to put her things down.

Caroline decided to stay because she wanted to figure out what made Klaus tick. She watched his face light up everytime Mason stabbed Isobel. She also liked spending time with felt like everyone else had someone except her. And her someone was starting to be him.

Klaus couldn't believe Caroline wanted to stay. He was very happy that she wanted to. And he was very excited to see what happens with their relationship in the future. He felt things were only going to get better.

After Isobel's vervain had been drained they finally turned her the right side up and untied her. Klaus looked her in the eyes. "I want my moonstone and I want Katerina" he began. Just like in his present. He had remembered doing this once before. "We will have a safe house. You will tell Katerina to meet you there with the moonstone." He continued to fill in the details. He told her to make sure that the doppelgänger was safe and then when Maddox calls to kill herself in the sun. He also made sure to tell her the part of showing Maddox where Alaric was. Even though he didn't want to jump into Alaric's body, he had too. "Can I...Can I say a few words to Alaric before you grab him though?" Isobel stumbled to ask. "You May" Klaus approved, taking a look at Maddox to make sure he knew. Caroline just sat and watched how Klaus worked. He had control of everyone. She was intrigued on how they listened.

Klaus finally let Isobel go so she could clean herself up from all of the blood stains on her body. Caroline had left too. She had to go Elena's house to meet them for their girls movie night. Klaus spent the evening making preparations for him to be in Alaric's body and finding the safe house.

A few hours had passed, Klaus and Maddox decided to go to the grill and relax a little before tomorrow. A band was playing tonight so there was a crowd. Suddenly he had noticed Caroline came in with the girls. They were listening to the band and singing along, having a good time. A few moments later he noticed Caroline making her way from the bathroom. "Can I buy you a drink?" Klaus said as he walked up behind her. "What are you doing here?" she asked as she was turning around surprised. "I thought you were watching movies tonight" he asked in return. "Eh, we decided to go out" she answered. They leaned in to kiss. As their lips touched, Caroline wrapped her arms around his neck. While they were making out Caroline had noticed Elena was heading toward the bathrooms, where they were standing by. She quickly pushed Klaus around the corner where Elena couldn't see them making out. She couldn't let anyone see her kissing him. What would they think? She thought to herself. "I'm not finished with you yet" she said for a brief moment and then went back to kissing him. She was loving this. Their connection was so strong. A bond like no other. She didn't want to stop and being a vampire, with her feelings heightened was not helping.

Suddenly all of the lights were breaking and the power went out. "Caroline" Elena had yelled into the bathroom. Caroline stopped kissing and looked at Klaus. He got her hint and vamped away. Caroline came around the corner, "what's going on?" She asked Elena and Stefan. Klaus vamped away but he didn't leave. He needed to make sure Caroline was going to be safe. "It's Greta's father.. lets leave" Maddox said as he found Klaus. By this time they were people screaming and fire everywhere. "I have to make sure Caroline is okay" klaus answered. He spotted her, she was about to pounce on Greta's father so Elena could get away. As soon as she did he started makin her have an aneurysm. Klaus was going to kill him but Maddox held him back. "You can't."he said to klaus. "She's in pain" klaus replied while looking at her. Matt was walking Bonnie out the door when he noticed Caroline. "Get away from her". Matt yelled. The warlock broke a bottle and stabbed him in the neck and then left. "Matt! No!" Caroline yelled out. "She's fine" Maddox yelled trying to drag Klaus out. "We're too close to ruin this. Wait until after the sacrifice to do whatever you want." Maddox said on his way back to the apartment. "And then after the Sacrifice is when they will pay." Klaus said calmly. He hated leaving Caroline at the grill but he knew she was safe. He had Maddox place a spell on her a few days ago. Kind of like the one he placed on him in his present time. A protection spell. Klaus was still worried, he didn't know how strong Greta's Father could be.

An hour later Klaus went by Caroline's house to check on her. She was watching Matt sleep. "I hated leaving you" Klaus said at the door because he hadn't been invited in yet. "I know, I'm fine though" she replied trying to comfort him. "After I break my curse, nobody will dare hurt you." Klaus said grabbing her into his arms. "After the sacrifice, my friends wont be trying to kill you." She said while smiling. They heard Matt starting to wake up.
