"Well, I'll let you go handle that" Klaus said as he kissed her lips and vamped off back to the apartment.
When Klaus got back to his apartment he realized Mason wasn't there. "Finally" he thought, some peace and quiet. Although he could still hear Maddox and a couple of vampires from Isobel's crew. Klaus had compel Isobel's friends to stay, just in case he needed them. Like to guard his werewolf and vampire, so Maddox wouldn't have to die. They were scared of Klaus so decided to stay in Maddox's apartment.
The next morning he was up early. Mason come barging through the door. "And where have you been mate?" Klaus asked while taking a sip of coffee. "I had to pick up a friend" Mason answered as his friend came walking through the door. "Ray Sutton?" Klaus said. "Yeah, that's me. I really hope we can break your curse. Can you really make it to where we have a choice to turn?" Ray eagerly asked. His phone started to ringing before Klaus could answer his question. Ray held up one finger and walked out of the apartment.
"You went and got Ray?" Klaus asked to Mason. "Yeah and he even said he would tell his whole pack to come here too. That's why he's here...to check it out!" he explained. "You're not sired yet, So why are you trying to impress me?" Klaus asked.
"Well, I figured that if I went and got Ray... that you would use him instead and spare Jules." Mason said hesitantly. Klaus sighed and looked down at the ground, like he was thinking it over. "I know it interferes with the events but couldn't we just switch them out right before you would kill Jules? And Ray said he would tell his whole pack to come up here" Mason added in. "And his whole pack is okay with dieing? To become a hybrid" Klaus asked. "Well... I didn't tell him that part. I just told him that he needs your blood after you break the curse" Mason explained. "Trust me, they wont care... They would probably do anything to stop them from turning every full moon. And you said That I will be your first hybrid and would basically run the pack. I would like Jules to be apart of my pack. And I know she will be looking for a new pack, since Elijah killed hers." Mason continued to explain. He was talking alot because he was getting nervous of what Klaus was going to say.
Klaus took a second before he answered. "Very well" Mason got excited and was smiling. "Okay. Deal" Mason replied. About that time Ray came back in. "Sorry that was my friends wondering if I made it up here. So is it true? Can you really help us from turning every full moon." Ray asked.
Ray and Mason both looked at Klaus waiting for his reply. "Of course" Klaus answered. Mason starting to grin again. "My pack will be here in a day or two." Ray mentioned. "Fantastic, Mason why don't you go get Ray settled in." Klaus said.
Mason was able to get Ray an apartment a couple floors up from his. Somewhere close but not too close. Ray could sniff the vampires and he didn't like it, even though they were on the same team.
The peace and quiet at Klaus's apartment didn't last for long. Isobel's crew was going over the plans that were to come. Klaus had to make sure that they were all on the same page. He couldn't leave anything up to chance. Two vampires were outside guarding the door. Klaus didn't want just anybody to come in like Ray and over hear or see some things. The vampires let Mason come in with no problem because Klaus had already informed them that Mason still lived there. He had came back to let Klaus know of the apartment he had got Ray and the apartment he was going to get when Ray's pack arrives. Around the same time Maddox came walking in with the moonstone. Behind him was Katherine carrying Alaric's unconscious body. "I trust everything went well" Klaus asked. "Yes sir" Maddox said while handing Klaus the moonstone. He held the stone up and looked at it while remembering what it felt like the first time in his present, when he had held this precious stone that has his curse within it.
"Sir" a vampire walked up to Klaus. "There's a Caroline outside" the vampire finished. Katherine rolled her eyes and took a seat on the couch. "Oh! Yes let her in" Klaus said as he got up and walked to the door to greet her immediately. "What's up with the guards at the door" Caroline asked. "Why is everyone here?" She added in while looking around the room. "Just getting everything in order." Klaus replied. "Well, I'm in trouble." Caroline yelled out. "Why? What's wrong?" Klaus said. "It's Matt! I couldn't compel him last night because I've been slipping vervain in his drink...he just ran off" she explained. "I can't find him and I don't know what he is going to do... he was suppose to be at the lockwoods today but he's not. He's freaking out!" She continued to explain. Klaus didn't plan for this to happen. Could he have been the one to cause this? He thought to himself. "Okay, I'll get some of these guys to go look for him." Klaus said as he hugged her. "You're the best" she said as she embraced his body. "Everything is going to be fine" he said to reassure her. Klaus let go of her and went over to a couple of vampires to explain the situation.
"Great... so let's just stop what we're doing and deal with little miss cheerleaders problems." Katherine spat at Caroline. "Uh... actually this is a problem for everyone... he could tell the whole world we exist." Caroline said as she rolled her eyes. "If he's a loose end. Kill him." Katherine said. "I'm not killing Matt " Caroline yelled looking at Katherine like she was crazy. "Calm down love, nobody's killing Matt" Klaus said as he walked toward her but staring at Katherine. "Why don't you head out with the boys and tell them some spots he may be" he said to change the subject. "Alright" Caroline said as she hugged and kissed him bye.
"I don't see why you waste your time on her Klaus, she's young and inexperienced." Katherine said as Caroline walked out. Klaus vamped over to Katherine and grabbed her by the neck. He is so strong he only had to use one hand, he picked her up like She was light as a feather. Katherine was grasping for air. "Have you forgotten how twisted I am? Katerina. Or How much I hate you?" Klaus said staring in her eyes. "You can't leave this apartment until I say so" he added. He was able to compel her because she hadn't had any vervain in her system.
He let her go and she fell back down on the couch, choking for air. "Please, Just kill me, Klaus and be done with it" she said to him. He had remembered when Katherine had begged to die in his present time. "And show you kindness?... I've searched for you for over 500 years. Your death is going to last atleast half that long." He replied with a smirk. "And oh yeah, I want you to take this knife and stab yourself in the leg over and over until I tell you to stop." He added in, remembering what he made her do last time. This time he was going to get to enjoy it even more, because he didn't have to leave to go anywhere. Katherine took the knife and stabbed her leg, she let out a bring scream when the knife went in. Klaus watched her with amusement. " Again" he commanded. "And if you get bored of one leg, go to the other" he mentioned as he walked over to the group of others to finish going over plans.
A few moments later the vampire guys that had went to look for Matt came walking through the door. "Well that was fast." Klaus stated. "He was at her house waiting for her." One of the guys said. "That's strange" Klaus thought out loud. "Are you ready?" Maddox asked Klaus. He nodded yes and went to his bedroom to lay in his bed. The warlock started to begin the spell. A few minutes went by and Alaric woke up and took a look around. It was Klaus and the spell had worked. Katherine was still stabbing herself but had stopped screaming at this point. Now she was just grunting every time the knife went in. Klaus in Alaric's body had went over to her, looked in her eyes and told her she could stop for now. He just wanted to make sure he could still compel just like last time.
Klaus had got some vampire guys to guard his bedroom as well. Last time he didn't have to worry about his body.
I really thought I would get to Klaus being in Alaric's body but my mind didn't get me there yet. Sorry guys, next chapter definitely ;)
