Hello everyone! Yes, another chapter! Enjoy!

Dorian pulled Emily aside, a few minutes before they were planned to drive to the gala.

"What's up?" Emily asked, seeing the concern in Dorian's eyes.

"I'm nervous." Dorian admitted.

"Alright. Tell me your cover." Emily crossed her arms.

"I am James May, founder and owner of GenTech. You are my lovely fiancee, Marie Beck, who's the CFO of GenTech. We met in the Bahamas and we've vacationed there every year since." Dorian recited.

"There you go. All set." Emily nodded.

"That's not what I'm nervous about." Dorian shook his head.

"Oh?" Emily raised a confused eyebrow.

Dorian leaned in closer. "Dancing."

"Oh." Emily smiled. "Okay."

She set her purse down on a table. She gestured Dorian closer. She put her right hand on his shoulder. She pulled his other arm up and delicately placed her hand in his. Dorian didn't know what to do with his other hand. Emily sighed and put his hand on her lower back.

"Ready?" Dorian nodded.

"Okay, so there's just a normal slow dance, where you just step back and forth." Emily swayed with Dorian.

"Alright, easy enough." Dorian smiled.

"But then there's the waltz." Emily chuckled.

Dorian's smile dropped.

"Start with you feet together. Step back with your right, diagonal with your left, then together again. Forward with your left, diagonal with your right, then together again." Emily guided Dorian.

"I think I got it." Dorian squinted.

"Keep it going." Emily nodded.

"Is there something I should know about?" John came into the room, all geared up, his arms crossed and eyebrow raised.

Dorian spun Emily around and then dipped her low.

"At this point, you should be taking notes, John." Emily answered.

Dorian brought Emily back up and they separated.

"Is is time?" Dorian asked.

"Yeah." John answered.

"Then let's go." Emily grabbed her purse.

The three walked out, not knowing how the night was going to turn out.

OoOoO

Dorian and Emily were in a black Mercedes, parked three blocks away from the gala.

"Don't be nervous." Emily said to Dorian, whose hands tightly gripped the steering wheel.

"I'm not." Dorian shook his head.

"Just remember our cover." Emily leaned over and straightened Dorian's bowtie. He was dressed impeccably. "And the most important part is to be a gentleman." Emily smiled as she settled back into her seat.

"And what does that entail?" Dorian asked.

"Opening doors, letting me go first, getting drinks for me. That kind of stuff." Emily replied.

Dorian nodded. "I can do that."

"Alright, let's go." Emily urged.

John came through Dorian's comms. "Just know that you two have full backup that'll be two minutes out."

"Don't worry. We'll be fine." Emily insisted as Dorian drove to the gala.

John disconnected for the moment.

"Dorian, whatever you do, don't take John's calls." She sighed.

"Why?" Dorian asked as he slowed the car down.

"Because your face lights up brighter than Times Square." Emily answered as Dorian shifted the car into park. They had arrived at the gala.

"Right. Of course." Dorian understood.

"Now get out and get the door for me, sweetheart." Emily smiled as she shoved her phone into her purse.

"Of course, darling." Dorian smiled as he got out and circled around.

Dorian opened the car door and held out a hand for Emily. She took it and stood up. Dorian closed the door. They stood on a white carpet. The valet took their car and drove off.

"Smile, James. Those frown lines will age you." Emily joked.

Dorian laughed. "Of course, Marie."
