Hello everyone! I am working on a long chapter currently, but here's a short one to tide you over.

Emily pulled up to her house and got out of the car. Dorian and John got out as well. Emily unlocked her door and Dorian went in first.
"Emily." John held Emily's hand, keeping her on her front step.
"Yeah?" She turned around and smiled.
"I wanted to give you something." John let go of her hand.
"Okay." Emily waited.
John fished around in his pocket, his hand closing around the object he was looking for. He paused in a moment of nervousness. He pulled it out and held it out for Emily.
Emily took it and looked at it.
"It's a key to my place." John explained.
"Oh, I see."
"I was thinking we could do something this weekend?" John offered.
"Uh huh." Emily nodded.
"So is that a 'yes?'" John asked.
Emily nodded again and smiled. "Just let me get some clothes for tomorrow." Emily went inside and emerged ten minutes, after explaining to Dorian where she was going. She slung a small duffel bag over her shoulder.
Emily took John's hand as they walked back to the car. John drove to his house and the two entered.
Emily looked around, dropping her bag in the living room area. "Nice typical bachelor pad." She commented.
"Typical?" John raised an eyebrow.
Emily shrugged and continued looking through John's place.
John laughed to himself and rushed to catch up.
"Ah, the bedroom." Emily stood in the open area, with the high ceiling above her, the queen bed in front of her.
"You did say bachelor pad." John joked.
Emily laughed and then kissed John.
John held her close. "You looked really good tonight."
Emily nodded in agreement, pursing her lips. "I know."
John raised an eyebrow.
"Thanks for coming in to help." Emily smiled a little.
"You're welcome." John answered, leaning in to kiss Emily.
"I love you." Emily whispered.
"I love you, too." John replied as their lips connected.
Sparks flew and passions ignited. Clothes came off and skin turned sweaty. Hearts pulsed and breathing quickened.
Late that night, after limbs were set to charge, Emily and John fell asleep in each other's embrace.
