Have you ever seen someone band for something so small you couldn't believe that someone caught it? Well my younger brother was under my charge on day, we were in Gondor at Minas Tirith. Our father had a meeting with Lord Denethor over something about lands. My father was one of Denethor's Advisors, his favorite in fact. The one small fact that kept the family in his good graces. But that still did not stop him from banning a small boy to the wilderness.

"Eleanor?" Her father gently laid a hand on her shoulder.

"If I had been there he wouldn't have gotten into trouble." She wore a black dress that hung to her newly formed curves, but still she was young only 14 at this time. Her father felt his heart strings pull tight. "I would have been sent away and he would have-"

"You couldn't change a thing, what happened is over. It is time to move on." He sighed, "You shall go home and live in the village with your mother."

"No, I shall stay here, with you."

"No it is better for you to go home; you will leave on the morrow." Eleanor hung her head she was no mood to fight her father. She sighed.

"Go; take the air of the city."

Eleanor did as she was told but soon ran into Faramir. He was Denethor's youngest son and he closest to her age. When she was in Minas Tirith he was her buddy and play mate. Together for a few weeks they would chase monsters, dragons, and elves together. There minds were so much a like that without even a work shared between them they knew what the other was talking about.

"Eleanor do not fret your brother shall be fine," he handed her a book, "A gift from the wizard."

"Oh, then why give it to me it was given to you."

"So you can remember me while you are far away." He kissed her cheek and walked away. It was at the moment that she realized that she would always love Faramir. And that was how she would remember him for ever, as the little boy that let her run around with him. It would be many years before Eleanor would ever return to the stone city of Minas Tirith, but there would be days and nights that she would wonder what would have happened if she had stayed with her father. Or even kept a better eye on her brother.

"Stop your day dreaming child," he mother said sweetly, "The fields come alive with a life of their own in the early days of summer."

"Can almost imagine the barley and wheat that will soon pop up and over the dirty fields with a blanket of gold's," she smiled to herself.

"I have good news," Her mother tried to keep form smiling. "The seamstress has finished you wedding clothes and your dowry is finally completed." Eleanor's face stayed the same.

"But I have yet to have a suitor."

"But my darling you do, he resides in Minas Tirith,' with her mothers words came the visions of Faramir.

"Then why have I not met him?"

"You will, your father request you to come for the Summer Festival and to live with him there until your wedding." She smiled and Eleanor returned the smile. 'My faramir! Oh how wonderful!' "He request that you leave immediately in order to arrive a week before," He mothers smile only grew, "My baby is going to be married."

"Are you coming?"

"I am afraid not, this would be the last trip for you."

"I have to pack my things-"

"It is already taken care of, no go to your new home and be happy." She kissed her daughter once more before shooing her off.
