Gideon, the head creator and player, explains the rules: every player has 3 lives, those on their 3rd life must try to kill other players, and unless on their third life attacks can only be in self defense. After the first death occurs, being much more realistic than a game, people begin to wonder what is going on.

Steve was an ordinary miner with a traumatic past. He was content with his life, until he stumbled upon a child in the caves with glowing white eyes. While Steve cares for the child in spite of his past, he realizes that monsters aren't born, they're made.

Devoid of memory or purpose, a new Crafter is pushed forth into the unforgiving land of Minecraftia. Armed with nothing but his wits, he must…well…actually he's pretty witless. Hopefully he won't get killed in the first week. Hopefully.

After a disaster strikes his warren, Technoblade finds himself suddenly adopted into a family of elytrian and living in a hybrid commune. It's a rather strange experience for a rabbit like himself, who has always stayed in the burrow. But somewhere along the way, it does become certain that family can transcend blood.
