Title: He Doesn't Even Look at Me
Author: Skye Aerrow
Rating: T
Characters: Nellie Lovett, Sweeney Todd.
Summary: A one-shot Sweenett poem. He doesn't even look at me/ As I lean over his shoulder/ Whispering in his ear/ That I'm his friend, too/ He doesn't even look at me/ When I tell him I love him/ And finally ask/ If we're going to be married.
Skye Says: My second poem on here. I was almost afraid to venture into that territory again, but thanks to several positive reviews for "Is it Easy for You?", here we are. Yayness. D
He Doesn't Even Look at Me
He doesn't even look at me
As he takes the razor from the box
And studies it
Grinning
He doesn't even look at me
As I lean over his shoulder
Whispering in his ear
That I'm his friend, too
He doesn't even look at me
When I tell him I love him
And finally ask
If we're going to be married
He doesn't even look at me
When he comes downstairs
And watches me grind meat
From his victims
He doesn't even look at me
When I tilt my head back
And sit in his chair
While he presses a blade to my neck
He doesn't even look at me
Though I've known him for years
And my feelings are obvious
He doesn't even look at me
Even though I tell him
That I'd do anything he asked
He doesn't even look at me,
Demon that he is,
But I know that after tonight,
He'll never be able to take his eyes off of me.
Skye Also Says: Yes, that was a bit of implied smuttiness at the end. You're all mature enough to handle it.
So, what do you think? Does this one work?
