Justina Listened to the exchange between her brother and younger half siblings, still keeping her eys staring out the window of the Delta Flyer. They had been playing rummy, but from behind her

she could tell that they had switched games because she could now hear the sound of dice hitting the metal table. "One, two, three, four, five, six, I got a big muddy!" Eight year old Melody

exclaimed. Justina smiled as she brushed away her jet black silky hair from her face, she knew what they were playing now, Mississippi Marbles. She turned around and in her seat and looked at

Eric, "Okay Little Brother, your turn," she stood up, revealing her slightly rounding belly protruding from underneath her shirt, and took Eric's place at the table. She began to play resting her free

hand protectively over her belly. Her mind drifted off in thought, she was surprised that Alan hadn't insisted on coming with them, but then again he knew it was something special they had done

together for years. Every weekend their mother, Annele, would take them on a trip in the Delta Flyer to bond, play games and explore. These trips had also taught the children the basics of the

equipment used on the ship. For years now they had been dubbed 'Bonding Runs'. Unfortunately, she had to go on an away mission this time, meaning at eighteen, Justina was in charge. Eric's

voice brought her out of her thoughts, "Hey sis, something 'weird' is going on out there!" Justina jumps up her instincts kicking in instantly, "What do you mean 'something weird'?" She looks down

at the instruments trying to get a grasp on what was happening. Unable to determine exactly what it was she looks out the window to see a large sub-space distortion coming toward them. "Sit

down, brace for impact," she screams as the ships shakes violently causing her to lose her balance. She hits the ground and everything goes black.
