As soon as Jack mentioned the fact that Martha Jones was from U.N.IT she felt her whole body tense & her palms become sweaty.
She trailed behind the others as they moved into the autopsy bay; she looked around shiftily hoping nobody would see how uncomfortable she was.
As they moved towards her computer she felt Martha's presence behind her as they searched for Meredith Roberts's details. When they came up with nothing she continued to look calming slightly while Martha & Jack walked towards his office.
Her personal experience with U.N.I.T left her on edge whenever the name was mentioned. How can you lock someone up for trying to save their own mother? She had nothing against Martha; she just had a connection with a place that would have driven her insane, that was if it wasn't for Jack.
She pushed the thoughts of that cold and dirty four walled cell to the back of her mind and set to work.

Jack had began to worry, Toshiko had been more quiet & withdrawn than usual, despite coming out of her shell whilst Jack's adventure with the Doctor & Martha. Then it hit him.
"Ianto?" Jack called him into his office
"Yes Jack?" When he entered the office, Jack was pacing.
He looked at his lover, "Has Tosh Seemed Strange To You?"
Ianto gave him a confused look "No why, should she?"
Jack flashed him his million dollar smile, and moved towards him teasingly. Just as Jack went to kiss him his phone went, he sighed and answered it.
"Hello………………..Thanks" He looked at Ianto and simply said "There's been another victim"

As Gwen & Ianto went to go find out about other victim, while Martha & Owen went to go see the victim had survived. Jack wondered out towards Toshiko's computer where she was trying to break into the pharm's records.
"Tosh…how you getting on?" She took her glasses off and swung around on her chair to face him. "Oh it's not" She sighed and smiled at him.
He leaned against her desk, and looked at her thoughtfully. "Look I think I should of told you that Martha was coming" she went to interrupt but he wouldn't allow her "I know you have felt uncomfortable, because of Martha's connection with U.N.I.T but believe me she's a good person."
She gave him a small smile, "I know she's a good person, you trust that's enough for me. It's just the name I just flashback to there, and everything that happened, and it frightens me. That's all, I'm fine though really"
He took her hand sternly, and looked at her, his Toshiko, his computer genius "I will never let you end back in that place. I promise you Tosh, no matter what."
She smiled more broadly whilst she whispered "Thanks"
Jack flashed his smile, "Lets get back to work" as he walked away Tosh felt safer than ever, even if her life was at danger every second of every day because of her job. She was safe because of Torchwood.
