Summery: (G1) During a training session on Dinobot Island, Swoop finds an egg and brings it back to the Ark. When the egg hatched and a baby T-Rex came out, Swoop and his brothers beg the other Autobots to keep it. What could happen in trying to have a pet Dinosaur?

How to Raise a T-Rex

Chapter 1

The mysterious Dinobot Island, an island where the Dinobots go to train so they won't mess up the Ark. The island, was also home to real live Dinosaurs! It was during a training session when Swoop stumble upon something. "Me Swoop wanna know what that is." There, sitting on the ground, was a huge egg. Swoop flew in for a closer look. Who ever egg it belongs to was no where to be found. "Me Swoop wonder where egg's creators are?"

"Me Grimlock says Dinobots are done training. Time to go home." The Dinobot leader's voice ran through the island.

"Me Swoop don't want to leave it here to get squish." With that Swoop picked the egg up as he transforms and few off with the others.

"What you Swoop have?" Sludge asked.

"Me Swoop found egg."

"Optimus Prime would probably not us Dinobots to keep it." Grimlock said seriously.

"Me Slag say we try."

Soon the Dinobots came back to the Ark. Optimus, Prowl, Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet and Wheeljack were in the Command Room waiting for them. They were a bit surprised in what the Dinobots brought back. "Him Swoop found egg." explained Sludge.

"Why didn't you just left it where you found it?" Optimus asked.

"Seems the Dinobots wanted a souvenir." Jazz said with a smile.

Suddenly there was this cracking sound coming from the egg. The Dinobots all gather around staring in aw at the egg. When the shell finally broke, there was a small baby Tyrannosaurus Rex. It made odd sounds as it looked up at the Dinobots. "It's a little Grimlock. Me Grimlock say we call him Chomper."

"Primus no." Prowl said as he looked towards Optimus Prime "Prime, you can't let the Dinobots keep it. It will cause havoc, drive Red Alert crazy, and it might tried to eat our human friends one it is big enough."

"There might cause a problem." said Wheeljack "Real Dinosaurs are related to birds right? So they might also imprint on the first thing they see as their creators. So since it was the Dinobots the baby saw, it must think the Dinobots are its creators."

Optimus, who was thinking over the problem at hand, made a sighing sound form his intakes. "Very well." He said as he turned to look at the Dinobots "Dinobots, I'm allowing you to keep the Dinosaur as long as you promise you will be in charge of it and make sure it won't hurt any humans or drive the Autobots crazy."

The Dinobots looked at each other before nodding in agreement. "Me Grimlock promise us Dinobots teach little Chomper good."

With that the Dinobots headed off towards their cave area of the Ark with the little T-Rex in tow. "Are you sure that was wise Prime?" Ratchet asked.

"I believe it will be good for them." the Autobot leader said.

"I have a bad feeling in my CPU about this." Prowl said.

"I agree with you, Prowl." said Ironhide.

In their cave, the Dinobots were thinking of what to do with the baby T-Rex. They remember seeing what the other Dinosaurs do with their young. "Me Swoop know what Chomper need!" With that, Swoop transformed and flew off.

"One of your Dinobots came and stole my favorite cow!" a local famer complained later on.

"I'll have a talk with them." Optimus promised "I assure you this won't happen again.
