Changed my penname to InuKoishii. I don't own Inuyasha. Try saying this poem out loud! I put a beat to it, and I thought it flowed well. I know, there isn't actually a pattern, it's just a bunch of rhyming words. Review?
She knows that he lies
you can see it in his eyes
It's a mask
a charade
A parade of demise
She knows
where he goes
every night
out to town
where the irresistible city is found
The bright lights
and the sights
oh! The sights he must see
She knows that it's hard
so she doesn't bombard
And the bed
that they shared
now smells like Times Square
but he's never at home
she knows of his affairs
The tears, they will come
As her body grows numb
A nightly routine
Now she's like a machine
Not good enough? She wonders
Not strong enough, perhaps
Maybe one day
She'll be able
To keep her heart under wraps
But as soon as she utters those words
She knows
Now she lies to herself
As her stomach slowly grows
He'll be here, she sighs
On her hope she relies
It takes a strong heart to love
But now hers is battered
It takes an even stronger one to love after it's been shattered.
The 3rd and 5th lines of the last verse are a popular internet quote. The plotline, even though it is mostly clear, is left up to open interpretation. Review! I want to see what people thought of this.
