Three Years Later
Lily walked into the reserved room of Madame Venus, the exclusive and expensive restaurant James had booked for their third anniversary. She couldn't believe that it was three years ago today that she had finally agreed to go out with James.
As she stepped through the doors, her eyes were drawn immediately to the man kneeling in the middle of the room, holding a small velvet box in one hand and a quill in the other.
Lily felt her hands leap to her mouth in surprise. She approached James and stared into the velvet jewelry box and saw a small piece of paper.
Will you marry me?
O Yes
O No
Lily laughed out loud, took the quill, marked a very enthusiastic "X" next to Yes, and then kissed her fiancé for a very long time.
