WALL-E - Grass

Freedom. Freshness. Peace. Three words that could describe the many floundering thoughts swirling about EVE's head. She could hardly process it all. Tall, thin blades of grass bustled in all directions with the winds that carried it. Nothing could possibly break this natural, peaceful mode of quietude.

"Evah!"

Except for that! The voice was all too familiar. EVE smiled up at her beloved, who stood only yards away over the hills. She giggled. WALL-E always made her giggle. "WALL-Eee!" she greeted. He waved, then suddenly disappeared into the grass. EVE watched the patches of flattening cross move closer her direction. He's so silly.

She suddenly found herself being piled to the ground under her love. WALL-E looked into her vision, greeting with a sort of smile. EVE laughed, still trying to calm herself down in doing so. WALL-E waved. "Evah!" he said in his cheerful voice. EVE giggled once more. WALL-E pulled himself up a little, placing one tread on either sides of her sleek frame. Her eyes formed pretty blue half-moon shapes. She couldn't express her thoughts verbally, but her expression said it all. WALL-E dug his optics under her 'neck'. EVE giggled in response, and began stoking along the sides of his optics.

He revved his treads against her sides for a moment, causing EVE to laugh uncontrollably. She pulled him down over, gently lowering him down by her side. WALL-E looked up, questioning why she had done that. He liked hearing her laugh. He LOVED hearing her laugh. Though it was still just as pleasant to be there by her side in silence.

The wind whistled softly above the two. With it carried tiny dandelion seeds, barely visible fluttering through the air. EVE sighed. Seeing this would not have been possible two years ago. Not without WALL-E. Plant life bloomed ever so dramatically throughout that entire two-year period. Flowers of all colors dotted the city, as well as patches, even fields, covering outside the city.

WALL-E and EVE lay quiet in the grass, stroking each others frames. When they weren't staring into each others eyes, they were staring up at the yellow-blue clouded sky. EVE extended her arm out to WALL-E, who in return, entwined her delicate fingers with his safe, reassuring, shoveled fingers. She leaned over for a second to give her love a sweet, passionate spark.

Ah, the joy of grass.
