Rikku ran through the sand dunes of the Bikanel Desert, zigzagging around the sandy hills. Yuna and Paine followed at a more sedate jog – who ran in the middle of a desert?
"Rikku, can't we just go in a straight line?" Paine asked in exasperation. "It's not like we keep changing direction."
"Nope," Rikku replied.
"Please tell me you know where we are," Paine said. Rikku gulped.
"Er, actually…" she trailed off.
"Rikku, I am going to cause you serious pain once we get out of the desert," Paine said menacingly.
"Um… the desert can't go on forever… that way!" Rikku guessed, and set off at a run. Paine had a nasty habit of following through with her threats.
