Kidomaru and Sakon turned to face Tayuya. She was already running across the table towards them when they finally reacted. The boys skipped out of the backdoor and across the backyard of the lair. Although Kido and Sakon cleared the fence with ease, Jirobo struggled to get over it. When he finally did, he fell into the grass and hit his knee on a jagged rock.
"Ow! Guys, I'll be right there, go on!"
Jirobo rubbed his bleeding knee with his hand and winced. Then, he noticed a shadow looming above him. He looked up and saw Tayuya, angrier than she had ever been.
"M-Mommy…"
Tayuya grabbed Jirobo by the collar and lifted him up. With her other hand, she repeatedly punched him in the face until some of his teeth rolled out and blood leaked onto the ground. She dropped him and kicked his manly pride for good measure. By now, Jirobo was crying like a little kid and choking on his own blood.
"Don't you ever do anything like that again…"
With that, Tayuya stomped back into the lair, muttering something about how she would get the other two later.
When Kidomaru and Sakon had the courage to come out of their hiding place in the woods, they saw their friend curled up in a sniffling ball. Sakon tapped his shoulder and he suddenly jolted up.
"Dude, did she really get you that bad?"
Jirobo nodded and got up. His clothes were stained with blood, and teeth were strewn across the ground around him. The three boys carefully snuck into the lair on their tiptoes, looking in every direction for their female teammate. When they decided that the coast was clear, they leapt into the living room.
Sakon nudged the other two and whispered, "Are we really going to let her get away with beating Jirobo to a pulp? This is war now!"
Jirobo nodded slowly, and Kidomaru shrugged, replying, "I dunno, Sakon. You saw how mad she got this time. Imagine how upset she'll be next time around."
Sakon absentmindedly pointed at Jirobo, who was shoving tissues in his mouth to stop the bleeding. Kidomaru's face turned serious.
"Right. I see your point."
Tayuya stomped into her room and slammed the door shut. She began grumbling about "boys" as she flopped onto her bed. She sighed and looked at the time.
"Shit, I better take a shower now if I want to see that new episode of Family Guy…"
Tayuya hopped off of her bed and walked towards the bathroom. She heard the toilet flush as Jirobo hobbled out. She pushed him down the stairs and walked in. She suddenly recoiled and her noise wrinkled up.
"Ew! Fatass! Where's the Lysol?!"
Tayuya grabbed a bottle of said spray and shook it up. She sprayed the entire room until she felt that the smell was distinguished enough. She began coughing from the amount of spray in the air and cranked the shower dial to "hot". She removed her clothes and stepped in. The boiling water felt very relaxing as it cascaded down her body. She had a rough day, but all her troubles seemed to have been washed away along with whatever dirt managed to find its way onto her.
Tayuya picked up the liquid soap and began to squirt it into her hand. She began to sing, not knowing that Jirobo had placed a tape recorder in the bathroom while he had done his business.
Outside, the boys snickered as they listened to her sing. She was actually a pretty good vocalist, but she was singing ABBA. Not cool.
Jirobo crossed his arms and pouted.
"What? I kinda like ABBA."
The other two looked at their teammate and laughed harder than they had at the singing.
Tayuya turned off the water and walked out of the shower. She covered herself in a towel and cursed when she remembered that she had forgotten her nightgown in her bedroom. She opened the bathroom door and was about to enter her bedroom when all of a sudden she had an irresistible urge to scratch her arm. Then, the itch spread all over. She groaned and noticed an empty itching cream tube on the floor.
"What the…?!"
Suddenly, the urge grew too strong, and she began to scratch herself until her skin turned red. While her hands were busy scratching, her towel became loose from the movement and slid down. She cursed and was about to pick it back up, but instead froze in place. The entire time, the boys had been watching her from the other end of the hall.
Sakon grinned and pointed at her exposed body. Jirobo laughed about how "Man, she looked like she was dancing with all that scratching", and…
Crap, Kidomaru was getting a nosebleed.
After what felt like a minute, Tayuya finally scooped up her towel and screamed into her room. The boys laughed so hard that they almost died from lack of air. Sakon pressed the tape recorder against her bedroom door and began playing it. At the sound of her own voice singing ABBA in the hall, Tayuya snapped. She swung the door open and grabbed Sakon by the neck.
"I'll kill you!"
Jirobo and Kidomaru watched in horror as she proceeded to smash Sakon's head against the wall mercilessly. She squeezed his neck until his eyes rolled back into his head, and threw him over the stair railing and onto a table below. Glass shattered and wood snapped apart as the impact broke everything Sakon landed on. The other two boys peered down at their friend. Blood began to pool from where he landed on the glass, and they seriously doubted that the way his lower leg currently bent was natural.
Tayuya began to calm down and smiled at what she had wanted to do for a long, long time. The other two repeatedly shouted, "Sakon!" as they rushed down the stairway to check if their friend was okay. Kidomaru lightly slapped his face a couple times to see if he was conscious, which he wasn't.
"It must have been the blows to his head. Hey, Jirobo, can you pick him up so I can take the glass outta his back?"
"Uh, sure."
Tayuya stared down at them as they slowly picked out the shards of glass. The two boys glared up at her, meeting her eyes with a dark, seemingly vengeful gaze. She smirked and walked to her room.
Eyes creaking open slowly, Sakon heard the sound of people talking around him. His eyesight was too blurry for him to see distinct shapes, and his back and head were too numb to move. He couldn't feel his leg, either. He only felt a hand reach down as ruffle his hair.
"So, you came to?"
It sounded like Kidomaru's voice, but he wasn't sure. There was a faint ringing sound in his ears. It was faint, but it was there.
"Hey, buddy, talk to me? Are you okay?"
Sakon slowly got up and blinked a couple times. He could see a little better now, and saw the other two boys on his bedside in Kabuto's medic lab.
"Ugh, what happened?"
Jirobo sighed and gave him a list of injuries that he had taken. Sakon groaned and muttered, "That bitch…where is she?"
Kidomaru shrugged and replied, "She didn't want to come."
"I wouldn't want her to come. She's an overreacting little punk. I hope Kabuto busted her so bad…"
"A little punk that beat you up pretty bad. Also, we lied and said that it was a stunt accident."
"Yo man, shut up. You know that I can beat her in a one-on-one battle. Also, why would you say that?"
"We don't want her getting in too much trouble. She deserves a second chance, right? So, how about a muffin? Kabuto makes those things good."
"Muffin? What kind?"
"Blueberry or chocolate chip. You choose."
"Chocolate chip. Blueberries suck."
"Opinions are opinions. Here ya go."
Kidomaru threw the muffin at Sakon. He caught it in his mouth and said as best as he could with the muffin in his mouth, "Oh yeah, who's good? I'm good."
Kidomaru chuckled and picked up another muffin for himself. He took a large bite out of it and began chewing.
"Jirobo and I tried suggesting that she start seeing a psychologist, but that didn't end up too well. She's still pretty upset about the bear and everything. Maybe we went a little hard on her, but then again…"
Sakon rolled his eyes and swallowed a piece of the muffin.
"Dude, you think that WE went a little too hard on HER? Just look at me!"
The spider boy sighed and took another bite of this muffin. After he had eaten every last crumb, he replied, "Yeah, but, for some reason, I kinda feel bad for her. Think of it this way. We've been picking on her, liking putting things in her food and destroying precious objects that she had since she was little. Also, she doesn't really have any friends. That's why she's always locked up in her room and in such a bad mood."
"Yeah, but the reason why she has no friends is because of her attitude."
"So why don't we try to change that?"
Jirobo shook his head and picked up a muffin.
"We already tried, remember?"
"Yeah, but maybe if we try again after she's had a chance to cool off…"
"Whatever, man, I'm not joining you."
"Fine…chicken."
With that, Kidomaru left the room and walked to the sound four's apartment. He put the key in the lock and pulled the door open. When he stepped inside, he saw Tayuya watching Tom & Jerry on TV.
"Tom & Jerry? I love that show."
Tayuya turned her head and narrowed her eyes upon sight of her teammate. She turned back to the TV and replied, "I like to see the cat get beat up."
Kido sweatdropped and hopped onto the couch next to Tayuya. She looked at him and said, "Ever hear of personal space?"
Kidomaru inched away from her and frowned. After about two minutes of watching the show, he finally turned to talk to her.
"Tayuya, we need to talk."
"About what? If it's about before, I said I'm sorry."
"No, it's not about before. It's about your attitude. If you want us to be your friends, you'll have to learn to be a little less...pissy."
"I'm fine on my own, thank you very much. Now if you don't have anything interesting to talk about, shut the hell up and let me watch."
Kidomaru sighed and leaned closer to her.
"Tayuya, so you honestly expect me to believe you? Believe that you're happy by yourself, locked up in your room all day without even a single soul by your side keeping you company? Do you think I don't know about how much pain you must feel being all alone?"
Tayuya's ears perked up, and she glared at Kidomaru.
"How do you know that I'm not happy? Are you spying on me?"
"It's common sense, Tayuya. People can't be happy by themselves. When I was in the academy, all the kids used to make fun of me because of my six arms. Nobody wanted to sit next to me, and I used to hang out in the back of the classroom all by myself during recess, crying. Being alone isn't fun, Tayuya."
The girl opened her mouth to reply, but she couldn't think of anything to say. Instead, she turned off the TV and threw the remote at Kidomaru. He rubbed his head where it hit, and she walked into her room and locked the door.
A low clanking noise woke Kabuto from his sleep. He opened his eyes and yawned as he slowly dragged himself from his bed. He looked and the clock and cursed under his breath.
"What could possibly be making that noise at three in the morning…?"
The medic nin rubbed his eyes and put on his glasses. Once he was slightly adjusted to the darkness, Kabuto walked to the door of his bedroom and creaked it open. He saw that the door to one of his medical rooms was open, and he heard the clanking on the opposite side of the hall. He turned to face the source and saw Sakon walking towards the front door of the apartment. His leg cast made a loud noise every time he stepped with that foot.
"Sakon, what are you…?"
Kabuto noticed a shiny object in Sakon's hand, and his eyes grew wide.
"Sakon, put that knife down right away!"
The younger boy turned to face Kabuto and grinned sadistically.
"I'm just returning a little favor, Kabuto. Please, don't get in the way."
"Wait, what…?"
"Stunt accident, yeah right…Just get out of my way…or I'll have to hurt you, too."
