Note- Sorry for the delay. I was on a vacation in a hotel near Atlantic City, and I didn't get a chance to use the laptop. It's here now, though, so just relax, read, and review! ;)

Jirobo smirked as he poked the newly formed bump on Kidomaru's head.

"Didn't go very well, did it, Kido?"

"Shut up and make me something to eat. Preferably pie. I seriously don't understand that woman."

Jirobo shrugged and picked up a pie tin. He placed it on the kitchen counter and frowned. He turned around and headed towards the door. He picked up the apartment key and turned to yell, "Hey, Kido, I'm gonna head to the Supermarket to get some ingredients."

"It's 4 in the morning you dunce."

Jirobo frowned again and put down the key. Why were they up this late again? Oh yeah. Sakon. That doesn't explain Tayuya though.

Kidomaru turned off the TV and hobbled drowsily to the fridge. He opened the door and winced as a gust of cold air rushed out and into his face. He rubbed his eyes and reached for some leftovers.

"So, is it asleep yet?" Jirobo asked.

The spider nin looked at his friend quizzically, who shrugged and said, "Tayuya, of course."

"Oh, well, I don't know. And I'm not bothering to check. Its' about time that we go to bed, too."

Jirobo yawned and nodded. He walked slowly to his room and flopped onto the soft, cushiony bed. Kidomaru finished off the last crumbs of his meal and washed the dish that he had used. When that was done, he decided to head to his room. He turned around, only to find a pair of large, brown eyes staring into his. Surprised, Kidomaru jumped up and made a small, "Yip!" sound.

"Tayuya! You scared me!"

The girl rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times. In her hand was Mr. Fuzzypoo's head, with a little bit of fluff popping out of the bottom.

"I can't sleep. You too idiots are too loud, and I have a headache. Isn't it about time that you go to sleep, spider?"

Kidomaru sighed and looked at the bear. Damn those shiny, beady eyes. He was feeling more and more guilty every second that he looked at them.

"You gonna talk, spider? Now get out of the way, I want to get a drink."

Kidomaru rolled his eyes and inched towards the other side of the room.

"The path is clear, your Majesty."

Tayuya shook her head and muttered, "I'm not in the mood." She grabbed a carton of juice from the fridge and drank it from the bottle. When there was none left, Tayuya threw the carton into the trash and opened the medicine cabinet. Kidomaru watched as she fumbled around angrily for something that would help her headache.

"It's in the back on the left side."

Tayuya pushed all of the medicine aside and looked at where Kidomaru had said. Indeed, there in the corner, was what she had been looking for. Tayuya muttered a small "Thanks" and swallowed the medicine. Kidomaru winced as he pointed out to her that she had taken 5 times the dose.

"Whatever, I don't care. By the way, I still think that you're an asshole" she replied, pointing to the head. Tayuya made her way back to her room and shut the door, leaving Kidomaru alone again. The boy shrugged and went to his own room.

"Huff…huff…huff…"

Fresh blood was strewn across the hall. Sakon grabbed his arm and put pressure on it to stop the bleeding. He looked up and saw that Kabuto was standing right in front of him, with a kunai held in his hand.

"Nice try, Sakon, but you couldn't beat me even if you weren't a wreck. I don't know what you're talking about, but your little plot ends here."

Sakon cursed himself for not being quieter in Kabuto's apartment. Now, Kabuto had tracked him and proven much stronger. Of course, Sakon did have a disadvantage.

The medic nin grabbed Sakon and tore the knife from his hands. He threw the boy to the floor and held the knife in the air.

"You're coming with me. You've lost mental stability."

Sakon smirked and rose up. He swiftly grabbed for the knife but missed, resulting in Kabuto stabbing his shoulder.

"Augh!"

Kabuto picked up the boy and threw him into a medical room. He quickly shut the door before Sakon could get out.

Kidomaru smiled slyly as he stood over Tayuya. She was laying face down on her bed and complaining about how crappy she felt.

"This is why you don't take 5 times the dose, Tayuya."

"Shut the hell up, spider. How should I have known that it'd mess me up?"

Kidomaru patted her on the back as she grabbed her forehead and began muttering things that he couldn't decipher.

"Well, that's what the dosage is for, Tayuya."

The girl threw a pillow at him and groaned. Her head was pounding so painfully that she couldn't even think straight. Taking all of those pills had given her a nasty migraine. Tayuya started to get up, but flung back down as searing pain filled her head.

The spider nin sighed and went to his room. When he came back, he was holding something behind his back. Tayuya raised her eyebrow questioningly and removed her hand from her head.

"Hey, Tayuya, I know that it probably won't make up for what we did and all, but I thought about it and decided that we were kinda being jerks and stuff…So, anyway, I decided that I would buy…this!" he shouted, slinging his hand out from behind his back. Tayuya didn't look amused at first, but after a couple seconds, her eyes became slightly less threatening.

"A…teddy bear? Why?"

Kidomaru shrugged and placed it next to the girl's head.

"Well, we ruined your other one, so I decided to get you a new one from Build-A-Bear. Check this out!"

Kidomaru reached for the bear and poked its belly. In a voice that sounded strangely like his own, the bear said, "Hi, Tayuya." The spider nin smiled nervously and waited for Tayuya's reaction.

"It's, uh…cute."

Tayuya picked up the bear and poked his belly. The recording played again, and for the first time in a while, she gave a genuine smile. It was just a tiny motion of her lips for a split second, but it still counted. Tayuya's face quickly turned flat as she asked, "So, why are you so nice to me all of a sudden?"

Kidomaru frowned and fumbled for an answer. Finally, he managed to say, "Well, because I just couldn't help but feel a little guilty, that's all. Besides, remember what I told you last night?"

Tayuya put down the bear and got up. Just like last time, though, she suddenly felt as if somebody had struck her head with a hammer. She grunted and fell back onto the bed.

"You okay, Tayuya? Or is that kind of an unnecessary question?"

"You think, dumbass? I feel like I'm gonna puke."

Tayuya slowly and carefully got up and put her hand to her head. Kidomaru patted her back once more as she threw up on the floor in front of them.

"I'm guessing that I shouldn't ask if you want breakfast?"

Kabuto made loud, irritating noises as he chewed on his breakfast in front of Sakon's cot. He had made sure to hold down Sakon's hands and feet with steel restraints.

"Would you stop being so loud, you imbecile?! You probably woke up the whole compound by now!"

Kabuto stopped eating and looked at Sakon. He swallowed what was in his mouth and put down the plate.

"Look, you're not in a very good position to be telling me what to do. Shut up or you won't get any breakfast."

"Oh, goody, like I'd really want to be force fed your inedible, homemade mush. You're kidding, right?"

Kabuto sighed and began to eat what was supposed to be Sakon's breakfast.

"Hey! Wait! No! I didn't mea-"

"Shut up or I'll eat your lunch, too."

"Bitch."

"Woman."

"Nerd."

"Pansy."

Jirobo woke up to the sound of people talking in the kitchen. He yawned and pushed his bed sheets onto the floor sloppily. The alarm clock went off, which he immediately smashed into pieces. He walked in the kitchen and saw Kidomaru and Tayuya at the table.

"What's up, porker? You're usually the first to wake up."

Jirobo ignored the comment about his size and sat down at the table. Bacon and eggs were on a platter in the middle, which was soon empty.

Kidomaru looked up from the newspaper and muttered, "Did you even breathe while you ate, dude?"

Jirobo shrugged and picked up the sections of the newspaper that Kido had already read. Tayuya sat with her head on the table and an untouched plate in front of her. She felt better, but she still wasn't really hungry.

Kidomaru looked up the paper and smiled at the other two.

"Hey guys, after breakfast, do you two wanna go out to the beach? We don't have any missions planned today, so nothing's stopping us."

Jirobo smiled and replied, "Sure!" while Tayuya simply nodded. The three sound nin went back to their respective rooms to dress out of their pajamas. In his room, Kidomaru flung off his sweaty night clothes and grabbed his swim trunks. He pulled the trunks on and skipped putting his hair up. Meanwhile, Jirobo neatly put his sheets on his bed and rushed to find his trunks. Tayuya threw things aside to find her bathing suit, and skipped brushing her teeth and making her bed.

Kidomaru closed the door to his room and walked towards the front of the apartment, where he saw the others. They both looked as if they had been waiting for a while.

"Sorry that I took so long, guys. Are you ready?"

Jirobo nodded and adjusted his trunks. In his hand he held a large surfboard with the sound village insignia on it. And…oh goodness.
Kidomaru had never really had anything towards Tayuya, but he had to admit that she looked pretty good in a bathing suit. Okay, so he thought that she was absolutely BEAUTIFUL in a bathing suit, but that didn't mean anything. Atleast he hoped it didn't.

Jirobo opened the door to the apartment and stepped out into the cold hallway of the complex. The other two followed close behind as he led the way to the shore.

The spider nin found a good spot for the three to put their belongings, and they began to set up. Jirobo put up the umbrella and set out the towels. Tayuya grabbed a bottle of sun tan lotion and began to squirt it into her hand. Kidomaru was about to take the beach toys from the bag when he heard, "Hey, Kido, can you get the places I can't?"

"Wha…?"

Tayuya frowned and pointed at her back.

"I can't reach it. Be useful for once and help me out."

Kidomaru took the bottle of lotion and squirted it into one of his numerous hands. He closed the bottle and began to rub the lotion along Tayuya's back. He was really tempted to go just a little bit lower…

"That's good enough. Kido, test the water."

Kidomaru shrugged and jumped in. It was very warm, and it was perfect since their apartment tended to be pretty cold.

"It's nice, guys!"

The other two got into the water with the spider nin. Jirobo went in deep to surf, and Tayuya reached down to pick up a shell that she saw underwater. Kidomaru's face turned bright red when he realized that his location was really convenient right now.

"Hey, spider, did the water suddenly get warmer?"

-I don't know why, but I felt like making Kido a perv.
