"Hunh?"
Jirobo scratched his head and looked around. He was laying against a wall when he had woken up, but he couldn't remember anything.
"I wonder what happened…"
Kabuto sat as his desk, scribbling some notes about the progress of his patients. He dropped his pen onto the desk and rubbed his tired, sweaty hands together. He opened a drawer in the desk and reached in to grab a piece of gum, which he began to chew on slowly. Shortly afterwards, the medic nin heard a knock at the apartment door.
"Come in." he shouted as he walked towards the front door. It creaked open, and Ukon walked in with a concerned expression on his face.
"Hello, Kabuto. I just got back from my vacation, and I heard that my poor brother is in your care…do you mind if I see him?"
Kabuto frowned and shook his head.
"Maybe in a little bit, because we have a session soon, and I can't reschedule it due to the other patients I need to tend to after that. Sorry, Ukon."
Ukon pouted and asked, "Pretty please…?"
"No. I'm sorry, but you can't."
Kabuto gasped as Ukon swung his hand up to Kabuto's throat. Grabbing it, he then picked him up off of his feet.
"Can I see him now?"
Kabuto managed to huff out a small "No" and kicked Ukon's manly pride. While he flinched in pain, Kabuto released himself and grabbed a medical knife from a table. Ukon frowned and backed up against a wall, looking at the ground.
"Just like your brother. Feisty and furious."
Right when Kabuto felt it was safe to lower the knife, Ukon lunged and grabbed it from his hand. He held it to the medic's throat and smirked.
"Sorry, four-eyes, but I really want to see Sakon. Nobody will get in my way. That includes you."
"You're crazy!" the older boy yelled. Suddenly, where Kabuto should have been, a cloud of smoke consumed Ukon. He covered his mouth and looked around, confused.
"It happened when you looked down. You should know not to take your eyes off of the enemy, or they'll try something sneaky like a clone jutsu."
Ukon was shocked to find that the voice came from above him, and saw that Kabuto was hanging from the ceiling fan. He smiled triumphantly, but it was too early to celebrate. The fan detached from the ceiling, and he fell right in front of Ukon. The younger boy smiled down at him and shook his head.
"Loser."
Meanwhile, Sakon wondered what all the noise was.
"Hey, Tayuya, maybe we should head home now. We've been here for a while."
The two sound nins were sitting on the beach making sand castles when he had said it. Tayuya frowned and whined that she wanted to stay longer, so Kidomaru shrugged and continued working on his castle.
"So, spider, what are you making?"
Kidomaru looked at Tayuya and shrugged.
"A sand castle, of course. I'm gonna make it big though. With lots of walls and towers and stuff…yeah."
Tayuya smiled and went back to patting sand on her creation. Kidomaru turned back to his, only to find that a little kid had begun giggling and demolishing it. Tayuya noticed this and walked up to the child. She was about to scream, but suddenly she thought better.
"You know, that wasn't very nice."
"Yeah, well, neither are you, you meanie!"
Tayuya once again started fuming, but she simply said, "You don't talk that way to older people, kid."
"Older but stupider!" the kid said as he stuck his tongue out at Tayuya. She picked him up and was about to throw him, but instead set him back down and muttered strictly, "Look, brat, if you don't shut your mouth, Santa won't give you any presents this year."
"I bet he doesn't give presents to people who are flat as a 2-by-4, either! Haha!"
Tayuya completely lost her temper and threw the kid onto the ground. When he began crying about how he had sand in his eye now, she smacked him and muttered, "Little devil."
Kidomaru laughed nervously and pushed Tayuya off of the beach. When she finally cooled down, he said, "Well, you had it going good at the beginning. That kid was kinda rude though, so I won't lecture you."
"Thanks. So we're going home now?"
"Well, we could stop somewhere for lunch of you want."
"No shoes, no shirt, no service."
"That's not true at the Sea Shack."
"True."
Sakon was quite surprised to find his brother peek into his room and wave. H hadn't expected to see him right when he had gotten home.
"What's up, bro? Why are you in here?"
"The mental ward? Well, Kabuto thinks I'm crazy. I don't know why."
"Well, Kabuto is a stupid jerk. Come on, I'm getting you outta here."
"What about four-eyes?"
"I took care of him. He won't be conscious for a while."
"Orochimaru will skin up alive if he figures out! Do you ever figure consequences into your actions?"
"Screw Orochimaru-sama. We're leaving this dump. We have a little score to settle with Tayuya though."
Sakon smiled as Ukon helped him out of the bed. Using Kabuto's remote, he unlocked the device on Sakon and removed it. Together, the two brothers ran from the building towards the beach.
Kidomaru winced as sauce flew across the entire table, splashing and dripping onto everything. Tayuya slurped her spaghetti very loudly and messily, which gained the two sound nin irritated glances from other customers.
"Uh, Tayuya, maybe you should quiet down just a little bit. You're attracting quite a lot of attention."
"I don't care. Tell them to mind their own business."
Kidomaru shrugged and eyed the people at the table next to theirs'. One of the men at the table stood up and walked over to them, obviously displeased.
"Hey, buddy, could you tell your little girlfriend here to quiet the hell down and let us eat? She's louder than my wife!"
While the man got beaten down by a very upset woman, Kido turned to Tayuya and asked her again to quiet down. This time, she got up and pointed defiantly at all of the people staring at them.
"You think I care how rude I am? Well you're wrong! Now take your filthy eyes off me and concentrate on your own meals!"
Ending her speech with an obscene gesture, Tayuya sat back down and looked at a very shocked Kidomaru.
"What's wrong, spider?"
"They're coming now."
"Shit."
The two sound nins fled from the restaurant. Chasing them were angry customers and an angry manager who complained that they didn't pay. Their waiter cried in a corner about how they didn't give him a tip.
"Get back here, you dirty rats!"
"Cheapskates!"
"Stupid teenagers!"
When they finally got away from the mob, Kidomaru nudged Tayuya and muttered, "Never do something like ever again."
Tayuya nodded and took a moment to catch her breath. Both of them had side cramps and nausea from running so fast after eating. They were almost home when they saw two familiar figures up ahead.
"Sakon! Ukon! What are you doing here?"
"Weren't you still in the kook house? And when did you get back from vacation?"
The two boys simply smiled and inched closer. Kidomaru began to get suspicious of their eerie smiles, and backed up.
"Tayuya. Get behind me." he whispered."
"Why? It's not like-"
"Just get behind me."
Finally, Ukon said, "So…I heard that you guys weren't getting along very well. Sakon told me the whole thing."
Kidomaru gulped and tensed and the brothers walked forward at a faster pace. By now, Tayuya had backed up into a fence and couldn't go any further to get away from them.
"Guys, leave her alone. That happened in the past, right? Sakon, you're better now anyway. Almost." Kidomaru said, noticing the cast on Sakon's leg.
"Don't play 'mercy' with us, spider. You're dead with her."
Suddenly, when a fight seemed just about unavoidable, three dark shadows loomed above them all.
"What is going on here?"
