Chapter 1 Shoot True

"What are you waiting for?"

An explosion a distance away followed the words.

"Hey! I need you."

A girls voice. Someone was shaking him.

"Please get up!"

Another explosion sounded closer than the last. He became vaguely aware of a battle close by.

"I need you to wake up now! Please."

He slowly opened his eyes. A young girl was standing over him. Her green eyes were wide and she was speaking to him.

"We need your help fighting. Come on!"

He felt himself being lifted up by the girl. She bent down again to the ground as he grabbed a bar above him.

"Here," She was saying. "you'll need this."She stood up and handed him a weapon. It was his bow. He reached his arm to his back and felt his quiver.

"Follow me."She said as she fast walked down a passage way. He slowly stumble after her.

"Where are we going?" His heard himself asked noticing how tried and distant his voice sounded.

She either ignored his question or didn't hear him. Suddenly the girl stopped and grabbed a part of the wall. He realised it was a sliding door. The wind blew up in his face as his suspicions were confirmed that he was in some kind of ship. They were high up above the clouds and the sounds of a battle raging could be heard.

He was too busy watching everything he didn't notice the girl had left 'til she walked back up to him. She laid down what she had been carrying and stood on it. She looked at him expectantly. "Well, hop on, Hawk." He frowned at her but did as told. She turned around to him with a pair of knee high boots in her hands. "Put these on."

The boots were light and slipped on fine over his combat boots. When each one was on they strapped them selves so they clung to him. It reminded him of something he once saw in a movie. Was it Star Trek or Back to the Future?

The girl kicked something and they suddenly lurked forward out the door. A rush of adrenaline hit him as they started to fly around, on this board. He soon realised though, there was nothing to be scared of. The bored had some kind of magnetic effects on the boots. He could move around freely, as long as one foot stayed down.

He soon saw where all the explosions were coming from. People were flying all around on the same kind of bored like him.

"Shoot everyone riding the Sky-Board's with the red skulls."The girl shout over the battle sounds.

And without really knowing why Clint did as told, making sure every shot was true and exploded on impact.
